schaafi Posted January 18, 2013 at 10:29 AM Posted January 18, 2013 at 10:29 AM (edited) I'm just back from Vegas, my friends and I watched six shows in a row and the last two shows were the best I have seen so far, the audience was on fire and there were even some fans dancing in the isle next to me (I was in the front row of FORCH6 on the side) and we really partied and danced with Celine, she loved it! She gained some weight which suits her very well, although her dresses are now pretty tight probably because Annie isn't there and so they didn't change the dresses back from her really skinny phase last summer, but I have to say that I'm relieved to seer her like this, she looks much healthier. Her voice is amazing, I love love love the changes she did to Open Arms and Mr. Paganini and it was so much fun watching her especially when the audience was responding! On our first night, January 3rd, the audience was kind of lame and quiet and you could tell that she wasn't enjoying herself as much as the shows after that. Of course the three of us stood up and danced with her during RITD, even though we were the only ones, but it's always better to have a crowd of 4000 partying with you than just 3 crazy girls from Germany! Sadly we didn't hear a song for you, it seems like she only sang it on new years eve, we talked to one of the guys from the orchestra and he told us that the spot for the song - replacing the reason - didn't feel right because it's another ballad right after Lullaby and that's why they put the reason back in. They're still planning on finding a better spot for the song so let's hope that it might return to the show sometime soon! Still, I really love her performance of the reason, it is a good moment of the show, even though she's lipping it.I have to say that I still love the show even after seeing her perform it 20 times now since the premiere. I like it so much better than A new Day and I can't wait to get back to Vegas and see it again! Oh and I have to add that The Prayer always bringt tears to my eyes, she sings it so beautifully and with so much warmth and emotion. I never thought that I could love this song so much! Celine looked slightly confused, said "alright" and tried it anyway, and people actually sang with her and afterwards she took a breath of relief and turned to the orchestra wispering "O my god!" This has never happened before in all the shows I've seen! The audience wasn't that bad that night, just kind of slow, they kept klapping into the songs because they recognized them so late.
