haha sorry I had to post this..sometimes cannot give critique are satisfied with everything and they think have to be grateful for each thing given.. come on Celine is also a human not some goddess who's toes we kiss hahah And Celine is gifted with an enormous talent and yes I miss the 90s where she really cared for her albums..

i'm a fan to ha ha

Celine always surprises us, I think this new album has been postponed until next year because they saw it so throw a cd of covers would be a failure, I recently read on the Internet, saying that two songs of composer Goran Kay were selected for part of Celine's new album, do not know if it's rumor, hopefully more is true.

I hope we dont get an album of cover versions and some serious effort is put into the new album, like they did with "taking chances".

Ne Me Quittes Pas!!! :kicking: (and Open Arms!! :thumbsup2: )

And At Seventheen is susch a nice track... love the acuostic feel. But I wasn't sure I wanted a studio version of it, but since I am offered one it would be rude to say no. :P

This is really a treat! Would be super to have a nice studio recording of How Do You Keep The Music Playing too - maybe produced by the same guy who brought us the amaxing Nature Boy orchestra version! :w00t:

Ok, so we wont get any radical new direction, but it was perhaps too much to ask for. Then all we can hope is that they will make an english album full of what Céline is known to do best (like the LTAL album).

Great great. Let's wait in awe for the new albums (and hope that postponements will be postponed).

Peace and love to all.

She will record a studio version of At Seventeen for her upcoming English album, which will be released next spring. The disc, to be recorded this fall, will also likely include a couple more tunes from the Vegas show, notably her show-stopping version of Jacques Brel’s Ne me quitte pas and the concert opener, her take on the Journey anthem Open Arms.

It's kinda funny that it is an ENGLISH album with NMQP

"a couple more tunes from the Vegas show ..."

I hope there will be no more than 6 titles

I don't like Ne Me Quitte Pas. And I can't understand why she sings that one when she has a similar song in the meaning, from Eddy Marnay that she has already sang once, "Je n'ai pas peur de mourir avec toi". That song is miles better than the Jacques Brel song IMO, and she could be paying tribute to someone who has written about 7 albums to her instead of someone who has nothing to do with her -_-

Sorry I had to say it. I listened again that song today, and it's amazing. Much more touching and emotional than Ne me quitte pas :whistling:

It's been a while since I posted on this forum, but ok... I just couldn't resist to make a comment on this subject lol

I simply cannot understand the point of using the song "Ne me quitte pas" for her new show. I like this song and it's a classsic. But c'mon... After all those beautiful albums and songs that she recorded in her 30 year old career (including the best selling francophone album ever), they choosed "Ne me quitte pas". It's prpbably one of the most covered french songs ever.

Just look at this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ne_me_quitte_pas#Cover_versions

Céline already payed a trubute to Jacques Brel once with "Quand on n'a que l'amour". That's was perfect.

She trusts her team (ie. Old grandfather who likes music that puts him to sleep) so much. Girlfriend hasn't a clue. She could sing anything! Instead, more lame covers.

Years ago, I thought Mariah had become a joke. But you know what, creatively she found herself. I feel like Celine is only doing it for thd money these days.

I think she should sell her Florida home that according to insiders cost $60,000,000, retire to Las Vegas permanently and sing MHWGO until she croaks.

I wonder what some "fans" are doing here!!

You might not agree with what Celine and her team are doing, but there's no need to be damn nasty about it.

Get a life!!

I believe the next album will be a kind of a deception for all of us.

from the 1st show we had If I Could and What a wonderful world on the miracle album

Those songs only featured on Miracle cos they fit the theme of the album perfectly. If the Miracle project never happened then I doubt they would ever have been studio recorded. :thumbsup2:

So, only three covers according to the article?? This is the guy who said the album will incude three new song only right? I'm confused now

That's basically what I wrote when I first knew that this song was included in the show setlist. Besides that the song is terribly boring to me, I found it appalling that she hasn't found the time to pay TRIBUTE to the man that wrote her 7 albums and helped her to build her first steps in Quebec and Canada between 1981 and 1987 :glare:

Not even one of those best known songs like Mon ami m'a quitée or D'amour ou d'amitié. Nor a short medley since ACDS concert in 1999.

But she has space to sing Michael Jackson. It's just ridiculous. She has sold herself to the americans and neglected her french origins with this show.

oh my god this is way too much.....

and can i say something...

Hello it's in Las Vegas in America it's not a show in Quebec or France and i don't think tribute to MJ is ridiculous he has a big influence on Celine....

that's say she does do one, 2 or medley of her early french work do u think will get much response from audiences dont think much only the "fans"

it's not like PQTME or maybe her first original song her mother wrote and Ne Me Quitte Pas this song does get people.

and pay tribute to Eddy well she did pay tribute to him, and think about this did she sang the french medley (the one in ACDS) during her LTAL tour in english speaking countries? don't think so

i would love to see Celine or Rene read what some of u the "fans" wrote!

Courage don't you dare fail me now!

although I must say what I read in this article I felt a bit sorry for her that some people really bash her but she is still doing it for all those people who want to hear her sing and who want to see her performing in Vegas.

That said, today I was listening to the new Vegas show on my mp3player, and I must say the arrangement for It's All Coming Back to me now, blending in the Power of Love, is beautiful and I love this rendition. But for the rest of the show there are 2 songs in particular which really make me fall asleep and wanting to skip it; how do you keep the music playing ( I am sure the 3d is amazing but the song is not) and the song with Stevie Wonder. Really those songs are so boring. but the orchestra really adds something to the show, that is what I do like about the show, but I hope she takes those songs, including river deep mountain high, out, and replaces them with some nice Celine Dion songs. or maybe replace it with the best - also a cover, but at least something she has not done very often yet.

I know she cannot satisfy us all, but I hope in the upcoming years the tracklist will be completely changed, with less covers and more of her own repertoire.

Thanks for posting the article. I enjoyed reading it. Let's hope that they keep the covers to a minimum on the album and that they don't release any of them as singles.

I just wish they leave out three songs from the new show.... for the cd.

1) French Song

2) At Seventeen

3) Beauty & The Beast

and I aint being funny but if this new show is all about Celine personally through the years, then why aint she singing the french song her mum wrote for her, that got her where she is today, hmmmmm, it makes sense and woud be a nice tribute to her, plus its a much nicer song to listen to, and has more meaning in terms of what the show is apparently based on!!!!

she wouldn't re-record LCMM would she? So I think it's safe to say that it won't be on the CD.

No, I don't think she's re-recording any of her own songs, just the covers.

I don't get why that would be wierd! We had Spanish songs on her English albums.

I think it's a nice thing.

I am serious. Besides we had a French track on an English album before - PQTME on TCS.

It's a nice way getting her English audience to appreciate her in French (if the normally don't buy her French work). One French track on an English album would be very ok (more than one however wouldn't).

The alternative would be for her to record the English version of NMQP. I am quite curious on how she'd sound singing those lyrics. I haven't been sure I wanted her to record If You Go Away (the English version of NMQP). At least to hear her do it live would be nice.

Peace and love to all.
