That's the thing, Davey! It was a one off performance and Celine was paying tribute to Janis. But this time its for an album. I hope it doesn't go the same way as 'Dance With My Father' went where the live performance was phenomenal but the album version is just bland.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but i just noticed on twitter that Dan Hill is writing songs Celine Dion's album!!!! :clap: I didn't know where to post this info, cuz i don't think the English Album topic is up right now.

 

I'm sooooooooooo excited about this!!!! It looks like Celine's new English album will not be filled with covers!!!

Well,

An article this morning says they haven't decided which songs will make it on the album. Weird cauz i thought René was pretty clear on the numbers of covers and new songs.

They will decide which ones to chose next week....

I cannot believe it, these 2 new album seem quite "random" to them, they haven't decide the songs for the E album? not surprised there's even no "direction" for the French one...

However hard it might be, I'm still hopeful that we're soon getting an album full of extraordinary songs. :yes: I don't mind being pleasantly surprised to hear that the cd will contain 15 new titles. Then, I would be like :kicking: :whee: :clap:

 

Besides, Rene, Celine and her management must realize that we're desperate for something new.

I can't wait until the songs are picked for the album!!! It should be any day now, since Rene said, about six days ago that the songs would be picked next week!!! :clap: This is soooooo exciting!!! :w00t:

I can't wait until we hear she's in studio, or we get pics of Celine arriving at a studio!!!! :whee:

Hmmmmm...Probably when she recorded "Y'a pas de mots" with Marc, and then before that (even longer time) to re-record playback for the TCWT DVD.

Let's wait and see what we get, because I remember the same thing happened with the Las Vegas show. We were all very confused by the very few details we were getting about the show and how fast the rehearsals and all that went but we were all surprised in the Opening Night. Let's wait and see, maybe something similar happens with this album. René is a very smart businessman, he knows what's the best for this exact moment of Celine's career, and our girl is not stupid.

some how now i think this new forthcoming album won't be previous said a "cover" album well of course there will be covers but i think the album will contain many new songs

btw i wouldn't mind if Andrew Lloyd Webber write for Celine!! that would be nice!

I don't know. It's all very confusing, cuz Rene said in a recent interview that they have not picked the songs for the album yet. He said the songs are going to be picked sometime next week.

 

He said that comment a week ago today, so hopfully we hear something soon!!

yeah another two month later.

but as i pointed out, it might have been influenced by Titanic somehow... who knows

and probably no news until after Xmas:( it's like almost half of year till April!

As time flies and there were no new info about album, it was expected that february is not real date, so another 2 months of waiting ... but I really hope that as they postoped it so many times, they changed concept and finally new album will be complete new studio album with maybe a few songs from vegas show.
