^^ I think when you're a really big fan of someone you get a little emotional and attached I guess and people are really fast to say what's wrong with the show and how many mistakes they think the team is making, because we're passionate about Celine and what we want to hear, but there is a whole other perspective we don't have, and that's the business side of this whole thing. We like to think Celine's team is dumb and makes constant mistakes and that they're completely useless, but time has proven that Celine the business is an unbelievable success, so they're doing something right. They don't make decisions based on what a few die hard fans want, unfortunately, but I think people are judging the show a little too early when we've barely just got the setlist several days ago. Lets give the show a chance to even start before we tear it apart completely

wow some of you are really good businessmen...

I don't care business, I want a good show, with an excellent VOICE and full of visual effects that make me blow up. Until now, people who've seen the rehearsal and pictures of it, doesn't show it the way I'm talking about. The twenty years that I'm Celine's fan let me at least ask for something that I would like to see because I know they can do it like no others.

Question: Does anybody knows if the premiere will be transmited on tv?

They will have visual effects. They're saving it for the premier (holograms etc.)

totally agree!!! i think we need to wait til the premiere and so on to fully judge the show

and not just judge the show by the set list or the few pics we saw lol

but of course i do agree they could change the setlist for better but i'll judge and review the show after i see it in person!!

oh btw did u guys read the news article about the media comes all over the world to LV to see Celine's new show...

so i'm wondering maybe we can take pic for the premiere??? i hope we can lol

Perhaps something a little different would be to add an additional song (if they didn't want to take anything off the set list) and have it like a rotating song out of perhaps five that changes every show. That way a fan may be lucky to hear something they haven't heard before or perhaps if they are seeing the show twice it will have that one difference. The down side of doing this is it will probably be songs like To Love You More which most people are tired of hearing that will be popped back in and not a song like That's The Way It Is that fans want to hear. Obviously wishful thinking.

Well ive always said let them cut LCMM and RDMH and give us a full version of DOL

Have to agree with you there! If they cut River Deep and LCMM she could do an entire DOL or even add another uptemp of HERS. This is a new show for the fans and as such they have to count on fans coming that have seen "A New day.." and "Taking Chances World Tour.' DO SONGS THAT WERE NOT DONE ON THOSE TOURS!!!

They're going to have to learn the hard way when tickets stop selling.

And maybe songs like All By Myself, It's All Coming Back To Me Now and The Power Of Love are covers but Celine somehow owns these songs since she's the one who popularized them.

Is there a reason why you ALWAYS feel the need to correct the smallest least important details in my rants? It's annoying. Let me rant without correcting the number 5 to 7. Either way, it's pathetic. 7 out of 24 for the greatest selling female artist of all time sure doesn't go a very long way to say why she was the best selling...

And Kevin, don't even go there.

All i'm going to say is that i'm not stupid enough to judge a show based on some previews. clearly special effects are being sved for opening night, new music is being sung that celine has never sang before. As a singer myself i find it reallly hard to believe that celine would be a robot and not be involved with th selection nof her music. Let her sing what she wants and if it doesn't work, well than it will be changed. We all cannot go to the show they must go by what her broad audience they want and not just 25,000 fans on this fantastic forum. Some of the people here are so negative and lack faith no matter what celine does. Don't judge a book by its cover until you get your behinds plane tickets, and spend the 55 to 250 dollar tickets to see this promising by all accounts new show. Stop it seriously stop it and have faith in Celine. People are ridiculous here sometimes wow

I agree. Let's not make any assumptions just yet about how the show will be. Let's all remember that 'A New Day' sucked at the begining and how many changes did they end up making to it before it became TOTALLY AWESOME! I'm sure that before long they'll be making changes to 'Celine' and it will get better each time (as long as Rene stays in the process) :thumbsup2:

Patience is a virtue, and lets have some gratitude that right after giving birth to twins after trying 6 times of invitro, we're getting Celine full on. She is a person, and I think her team is wise enough to know how to win the hardcore fans (us), the "I adore her voice" fans, and the gamblers who's got wives. I'm sure the show will be all sorts of spectacularity and we'll be in for a pleasant Celine experience.

Totally Awesome is arguable for a show like AND; the main reason AND was a semi-mess; it was because Celine's voice was bad; however, AND's setlist [the final one used in LILV DVD] was way better than anything she's singing today; at least in AND she acknowledged her 2000s CDs [ANDHC and OH and ATW [99/00]] In the new show, there's no mention of any songs from any CDs she made in the past decade 2000-2010.

This new setlist is 10x better than the one from AND.

AND had cheesy covers. I Wish was a complete karaoke performance. IGTWOAS was mediocre.

Bad selection of hits. Not terrible. But this show does much better by including BATB, DOL (live for a change), The Reason, and WDMHBN.

And the new songs she did sing were all either lipped (IDAN, I Surrender), a vocal mess (I'm Alive).....the ANDHC slow version was okay though.

I agree with you that her voice wasn't top shape; it was the major reason I didn't like AND; however, if Celine had the powerhouse-voice she has today, she could have pulled off a BETTER A New Day show; At least, AND featured more Celine hits than the new show that was supposed to be ABOUT Celine's greatest hits which are barely existant.

Look at the new show. We have no new songs. Those songs were replaced by a bunch of covers, and we got a couple more hits while keeping the ones she was already performing (for the most part).

i think her setlist for AND was better, yes im happy for BATB, WDMYBN, TR and DOL but her voice in vegas the first time suffered.

Yes, but instead of a thousand covers it could have worked better if they did, the MJ tribute, and the BOND tribute if they really wanted too. Then Cut the other covers except maybe "Open Arms" for the opener... ditch At Seveenteen, and Ella song, and the damn lullaby, and all that s*** and add a few more of her hits, the TC album can still be promoted, sing one or two songs off of that, sing a song off the ANDHC album and one off of OH album and there you go you have a extremely better show.

If they put this show on DVD, I'm gonna skip through all the covers she's singing from MJ to Bond Movies and be only interested in listenning 4 songs out of 25 on the setlist which is pretty weak for a show :glare:

. Everything else is either heard to death before [TPOL,IACBTMN,BYLM,LCMM,RDMH] or unnecessary tributes [bond movies and MJ Tribute].

Thanks i think many more fans would be happy cause more of her songs, and she still has some covers she could enjoy singing.

Fans would be happier. But I think the general public would be fine with the current setlist seeing as most would be able to relate more with the covers than they would songs they don't know.
