How much fun would it be for her, as an artist, to perform for a half-filled Colosseum night after night? Because the hardcore fans alone won't fill every single seat for 3 years, I think we ca all agree to that, and I doubt that a show without the numbers that make some of us cringe will make the show a best seller. I would feel so sad for Celine if it became a "flop", and that she was forced to go out on stage knowing that only 37-or-something-% of tonight's tickets were sold.. Sure, most of those will be fans, but still... I'd feel awful.. So why not let her sing the songs 1) she feels like singing, and 2) they think will make it a success I bet they're gonna figure out that some songs/numbers just doesn't work, and that the show will evolve during the coming 3 years, but AND went through the same process and I think most of us who walked out of the Colosseum during 2007 were pretty darned pleased with what we had just seen?I might be alone in thinking this way, but I would much, much rather have a huge record-breaking success for her (involving a less than exciting setlist) than a less successful "fan-approved" show. I could barf all over LCMM, but if I'm lucky to go back to Vegas (and that song is still in there) then I'm gonna "stand up and dance with her" when she asks and cheer her on... I don't think that there will be less people attending Celine concerts if Celine won't sing LCMM and replaced it by a less-known song. The general public will eat whatever she's gonna sing and don't even care what songs she's gonna sing. They come to her concerts becoz it's Celine not becoz of the songs she's gonna sing. However, we as fans attend Celine concerts wishing to hear either something new or something rare; In this case, there's no new material so we expect something rare. Celine can always replace her up-tempo known songs by other up-tempo UNKWON songs; the general public would be happy in both cases because basically they don't attend her concerts with expectations, they just value that it's a Celine concert that's all they are looking forward; In her TCWT, MANY people didn't even know a single song from TC album but they still bought the ticket and they still had a good time becoz at the end of the day they don't care about what she sang they only go becoz her name is a trademark for quality music and real entertainment. There is obvioulsy a lot going to be revelaed on Opening Night as video screens with her past clips doesn't cost ten million bucks. lol. Quote

Nothing about the visual effects. René said they decided not to bring the "Taking Chances" show to Vegas afterall. If they did, they would have saved 20 million dollars he said but they wanted to do a brand new show for the people. In many article from Canoe and Cyberpresse Y. Aucoin said this show is closer to her and she feel confortable with it. She had a lot of ideas and was very much involved. A lot of the songs are her idea... she wanted this show to be much more about the music and the voice. More demanding vocally than physically. They had great creative meetings together. Céline is giving her all when on stage as an artist, as a mom and a wife at home. She gives it all but her children still have a mom and René a wife. She's very satisfied with that. She still has a lot of energy as she always had all her life. She didn't think it would have been possible for her to be in topshape when she gave birth four month ago but she's feeling great right now eventhough she's losing this weight too fast cuz of rehearsal and stress and everything else. They must already fix her dresses so they still fit very nice and well.The more she grows older, the more she thinks about doing a movie and winning an Oscar one day. The time will come.
