Taking Chances World Tour CD/DVD Release Thread

Now that you talk about that, do we know were did they rehearse the songs of this tour? Did they had some place to rehearse the dances of the songs before the tour started, and did Céline participate in these rehearsals? Its strange we hadn't had footage of the pre-tour days in the DVDs, and I would like to watch this material

 

Actually we saw pictures of the rehearsals and I read somewhere that they had rehearsal about 50 songs..

 

I swear I also remember there was also a youtube video with footage from rehearsals in Vegas.

In my opinion, this is what the DVD lacks, more moments focused on the behind the scenes of the tour before/during/after the concerts like they did with AND DVD I guess we can't have everything...

Back on topic:: I have watched both versions of the french/ english,, one thing I have notice is her teeth are sooo white,? Did she have them cap or something...any Ideas.

maybe she bleached them or chnaged her veneers. my teeth are also very white i receive compliments on them all the time. ive used a special dentist bleach.

false teeth? lol not exactly. its veneers. most celebs wear them they fit over the actual teeth, if u look at some of the HD pics you can see it. sometimes they have to shape the teeth so the veneers fit well

did anyone notice...if you watch the part during the applause after MY LOVE after she hugs that one chick but before she starts talking about the PRAYER they show an audience member alone standing and applauding and i swear it looks exactly like MEREDITH VIERA from THE TODAY SHOW AND THE VIEW...did anyone else think so?

Finally got round to watching the DVD last night. It is absolutely brilliant, she is so in with the crowd, so in their face, fantastic. For me, this is her best DVD so far, its all so powerful. Thanks Celine For giving us, your fans, two brilliant DVD'S.

No, not yet. If i do it, i will ask my friend who goes over every 3 months to get it for me. Do you think it is worth having both the English and French? Is there a lot that is differant or are they quite similar.

I finally watched the DVD after purchasing it on its release date! Wow! I really do like some of the newer scenes they put in it, though I didn't really notice too many. Adding the costume change to "Eyes on Me" was really cool. Odd that they took the end credits out, but whatever, I guess!

Rehearsals started in December 2007 at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas. There are some videos around of the dancers practicing their routines set to a recording of the show, and all of the show is live. I guess they recorded an entire rehearsal session so the dancers had something to work with. However Celine doesn't really sing that much, only certain parts of songs here and there and then misses out various parts like the big notes or whatever. She's rehearsing afterall and probably doesn't want to strain her voice, but it's still interesting to hear even though the quality is pretty bad. I think those are available on YouTube or I might have them around somewhere.

 

And then we had another video which was some footage of Celine herself rehearing set to a remix of TLYM, which I can't find on YT anymore but I made some caps at the time:

I've also seen the video from which those screen shots are. She did TLYM, RDMH and MHWGO (I think), but she only sang a few lines here and there, not doing the big notes and stuff. I think it was from some chinese or japanese TV show. Not sure which one though.

Davey the TLYM remix wasn't performed by Celine, it was an MP3 that someone had set the footage to.

 

Claudette, are you on about the caps I posted? Because there was no audio from the show in that video, it was a bootleg video one of the crew members or maybe someone from the MGM Grand created (probably without permission) but it was just short clips of her performing set to an MP3 of TLYM as I mentioned to Davey. It was never shown on TV. Are you talking about some other rehearsal footage?

I'm not sure if it is caps from the actual video I saw, but I remember seeing a video of Celine in that clothes (I remember the RDMH dress) rehearsing. I'll have to look for the video. If I remember correctly, it was part of something about Yuna Ito, but I may be wrong...

So this is where it all started. Honestly, this is the bonus footage that was missed in the DVDs we have!! This is the kind of material that I would have enjoyed a lot to watch, as they did with the ANDLILV DVD

 

And very interesting that TLYM remix rehearsal . It seems that Jamie King was very keen on giving an updated "dance" sound to the tour (thank God) and he really looked into her remixes archives! This explains why we had that splendid intro with IDAN remix, dance sound, and the I'm Alive remixed performance Well done!!
