Timster Posted May 22, 2010 at 08:03 AM Posted May 22, 2010 at 08:03 AM Also, the MHWGO finale is far more dramatic. Instead of walking around the stage, she stays on the rotating platform, and in my opinion it's far more powerful, I kinda disagree....she kept standing on the platform up till the North American leg and while it does have *something*, I actually think the walking is more powerful, especially during the last part of the song (which is powerful too). She also connects with the audience one last time before leaving the stage (instead of just standing in the middle the whole last song). Love it! Yeah well she walks around the stage during PQTME, after MHWGO Weren't you comparing both MHWGO's/endings (English & French version)? Yes I was comparing the two DVDs. I just meant the reason why she stayed on the platform for all of MHWGO in Montreal was because she did PQTME afterwards, that's all. Tim i also have to disagree with you I think it is far more dramatic walking around the stage She is with her fans and saying goodbye before she leaves for the last time. When watching MHWGO on the french concert, it diddnt feel as dramatic as the english one, as all she did was stand there. I love how she throwes her dress before the (powerfull end) part, whereas in the french one all she does is stand there, and you dont feel the power from her at all. sorry tim i have to disagree I do understand your point that it isnt the last song tho, but i think mhwgo is the best song to end a show, as its more powerfull as everyone can relate to the song in the world nomatter what language barrer there is kev Actually I agree with you now. I do like the part where she throws her dress in Boston. The reason why I liked the Montreal one so much was because of the camera angles they used, they were really well done. I think both are dramtic but it different ways. :) Quote
Davey84 Posted May 22, 2010 at 09:05 AM Posted May 22, 2010 at 09:05 AM She seems to get bored at the end of SOL and just goes scat crazy. Both her and the audience to be fair. For whatever reason it's just a song that doesn't work well live. the reason is that the song was butchered live.... they should have performed the full song, and stayed more true to the album version... I still find it a big missed chance that Surprise, Surprise wasn't in the setlist Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th

It just sounds weird. I agree with you about ''Surprise Surprise''. That could have been a nice addition to the show... Plus she should have performed ''On S'Est Aimé à Cause'' in the French shows. Javito Posted May 22, 2010 at 01:16 PM Posted May 22, 2010 at 01:16 PM ^ No one knows. Remember what happened with Celine Sur Les Plaines? I think that's more understandable, that concert is not exclusively a "Celine concert" but a concert of Celine with many other canadian fellows. There are a lot of performances of people not known outside Canada, so I can understand if they didn't care to release this in Bluray. Maybe in the future when the format is more established yeah that would have been so cool!! OR she should have performed À Cause after the MHWGO mix intro instead of IA!! That would have been amazing Davey! They should have had more French songs in the French setlist instead of 6 hits from the 90s + ESNRQ. Yes Tim, I think that if a complaint can be made about this great DVD release is that she didn't perform more of her post-2000 songs, but especially in the french concert. Its a shame she only cared to include only ONE new french song compared with the ACDS DVD back in 1999 She can't be eternally attached to PQTME, Je Sais Pas and J'irai ou tu iras in her concerts! Its time for another medley of classics, but in her french concerts! Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Claudette Posted May 22, 2010 at 02:23 PM Posted May 22, 2010 at 02:23 PM (edited) At least I got to see her sing it live tice here in SA. That was pobably the dumbest move they made: removing that song from the set list. People went crazy for it... What I find weird is that they rehearsed ''Immensité'', ''Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas'', ''Je Lui Dirai'' and ''J'ai La Musique en Moi'' (which I assume is the French version of ''I Got the Music in Me'' ), but she never sang it. Ah ok, I saw that, but that doesn't mean they got to rehearse the whole thing on the stage They may had plans to sing those songs live but never got to rehearse them for whatever reason. Anyway they are to blame for that Its bad that they keep singing songs like LCMM, IACBTMN and BYLM for her english concerts and not giving the chance to new songs, but I can't believe what she's doing with her french career! mcbg1 Posted May 22, 2010 at 07:08 PM Posted May 22, 2010 at 07:08 PM I just watched the Montreal DVD and I'm pretty sure I went to high school with a guy they show in the audience at the beginning of S'il suffisait d'aimer LOL. He has glasses on and he's holding up his cell phone. You can also see the prime minister of Quebec, Jean Charest, during that song. He's in front of the catwalk, a few rows up. Quote
cmcdaori Posted May 22, 2010 at 07:38 PM Posted May 22, 2010 at 07:38 PM (edited) LOL why do you want it to be the full intro? you know you can rip the audio With DVD audio extractor right? You Will have the full DVD in mp3 Yeah, but its not exactly the same. Being a collector, I really appreciate the effort that they have included 2 Live CD's accompanying this release, when they could have released just the DVD's and that's all. I'm here as much as for the image than the audio (its music what we listen from Céline after all!) and having 2 new live albums is just great, it enhances the whole experience of the DVD Also, she needed these live CD's since many years ago, especially after the horrible ANDLILV album So count that she hadn't any new live album since 1999's Au Coeur Du Stade (can't call the Vegas CD a live album sorry ) I hear all the bad rumours about LILV and i dont think is bad at all, at least not for me anybody knows when the new dvds will be released in the middle east?till now the dvds didn't reach dubai , i was hoping some friends of mine there would send me the dvds but... I think not, except Japan, China and Taiwan there in Asia..Anybody else in love with Celine's voice in the first verse of ''The Power of Love''? I love her tone in the first part... I'm in love with the rerecorded part Me too, but I love the beginning more. Her voice has an interesting quality that I've never heard before. ''Shadow of Love'' is starting to grow on me... still not my favourite, but I can live with it... Edit: The Boston croud are really lame. Some people are actually just sitting there. They don't even applaud after the songs. the thing with ''Shadow of Love'' that bugs me, is the sound; céline, the backing vocals, the music, it sounds taken from a bootleg!! Yeah, there is something weird about it. At some points it sounds like the sound goes softer or something. But I just don't like the way she sang it. I wish she sang it like she did at the beginning of the tour. At first ''Fade Away'' annoyed me too. But it is actually a pretty strong performance. Fade Away performance survives the setlist because of the dancers and Céline herself dancing number, if not, it will be as weak as Shadow Of Love But actually I find SOL live version quite interesting, especially in the end when she does those adlibings at the end of the song I would have added that to the album version seriously Me too, i love that part from the DVD By the way, im still waiting for the movie and deluxes to come. I hope they come on Monday.. Edited May 22, 2010 at 07:42 PM by cmcdaori Quote Thank u Jesus. Im in ur hands now.
