Of course it's a big honour But it's weird they don't even contact me if they can use it for commercial work!

Even a woman from a website contacted me a couple of months ago if she could use it for a commercial thing, but that big organisation of Sony thinks they could do everything without permission.

 

I wish they used Tim's cover like they used Leanne's font!

For those that have seen the dvd of the boston concert...how does the dvd begin? Does it start with atleast a few seconds of showing the auditorium with the audience and then the auiditorium go black with the screens coming down? OR does it just start immediately showing the intro video without any buidup to the start of the show? On A New Day Dvd they started WAY too early imo with no shot of the audience..infact the music started before it even came out of the blackout. So how does this dvd open? Thanks!

So no buildup to the start of the show..not even a few seconds of audience shots or anything....thats ok I guess. do they show alot of angles of the entire stage or is it mostly just closeups of celine and whats on the stage or do you get to see alot of the effects on the floor and in the arena? Do you see alot of the lighting effects from a far away wide angle or mainly just closeup? OR a good mix? And is the editing too fast cutting like A New Day?

You do see the stage and the audience during the IDAN intro. As Celine drives through the desert it cuts to scenes of the stage and fans watching the video on the big cube. Then it cuts to the video when the countries start appearing and it rejoins the concert when the cube displays "Boston" and Celine is revealed.

My order at CDWOW has the french concert as "backorder" in the status , wasn't it supposed to be released TODAY??

It is fan made, it was made by Leanne on our forum. Although I suppose it's an honour to have it used in an official release, I guess they would have printed it with standard text like they normally do but since the font is there and it's so cool they probably thought it was a good idea to make her letter look more personal.

 

Yes I remember a thread called Céline's handwriting font or something like that. If that girl proves she has made that font, she should demand Sony for the due credit for her in the album Now we'll have to teach lessons of copyright to Sony...

 

Wait a min a bit?? What did u order?? The english concert or the french?? If it's french, then they should send in any min, but if its the english and they made mistake writing it upon french, then u have to wait until may 10th

 

I've ordered both of them, and the movie too, but I don't get why the french edition was put in "backorder" status, when it has been released today I know that I'll have to wait for the movie and the english edition some more days until they can dispatch my order

Even if you gave it for free, there's an author for that work, and they should have credited it You have what we call in Intellectual Property your "moral right" to be mentioned as the author, even if you gave it for free.

I already answered you, however - for those who don't know it;

the full openingssequence is in it - with celine in high heels, the windmills, the cube and the audience, cube with projections, more video of celine driving , closeup of her face, than again audience and cube with projections, then in full screen all the countries - last image - THIS NIGHT - Boston, cube going up, Celine revealing on the stage, smiling, bowing and receiving a lot of applause, zooming out on her on the stage and the big audience, then guitar sweeping, opening drums , guitar still sweeping and celine says - is that allright boston? than the song starts

So I was wondering for those that have seen the dvds of the concerts...besides the audience noise reduction, the intro missing, and just a few of the vocals..would you say this captures the essence of the concert really well? BESIDES the minor complaints..does this show off the show really well? I just saw a one minute clip of TYLM on youtube from the DVD and it was pretty fantastic..but the lip movements were off from the track but I bet thats because of youtube. It also seems the speech on the montreal dvd is LONGER..significantly longer than the boston 20 second speech..is this correct?

Yes the Montreal speech is longer, and i hate that because SONY thinks her English fans are just Old Hags that want to hear popular songs, and we get gipped on everything having to do with quality and technology.
