Celine on Oprah - February 10th, 2010

Another thing, we got to tell Celine and Rene our story personally and even asked the about the forum...neither of them had a clue about it, Celine even joked 'Should I join it'. I got it all on video (AMAZING) which I will be uploading tomorrow hopefully.

And haven't all of our fan videos that shes been sent have our url either at the begining or end..... ???

Did you girls get to talk to Scott her makeup artist.... as I told him some forum fans would be in the audience

Maybe they were just trying to be nice. Perhaps nothing ever actually got to Celine. I mean think about it, they probably receive tooons of fan videos/letters etc. and don't actually see them. So instead of disappointing fans they just say Celine saw it. Maybe we should hand over that tour video to celine personally hah. Because if she got all of these videos like we were told she did...she would know who we are.

 

But its still weird because wouldn't you think when Rene was looking up concert reviews...he'd come across this place?

Well I have a video of Celine and Rene both not having any clue about the forum....they were so sweet about it though.

 

Here is mine and Sarahs picture with Celine, I told how how we both met, Celine was like ahh wow! I literally died. We then all told them how the 14 of us met...I've had such an AMAZING day, so soo grateful for being able to come to Chicago from Australia! I need to stop posting and go to bed!

Hey! We've only just had time to sit down and come online after such a busy, yet exciting day.

 

The show was amazing! So much went on, not too much on the fan side but still so good. As you can see, we all got to meet her after the show as she exited. Please don't use our personal photographs and cut us out (Denelles one above), we'll post in good time

Me too. I was introduced to Rene as administrator of the forum when we met personally. I'm surprised he didn't remember it. Cause he usually has very good memories. And I'm almost sure others had told them about the forum before too.

 

I hope they will remember the forum this time.

Hi everyone! It's after 1:00am here in Chicago... I'm dead tired but I figured to come online to read & see what's been going on.

 

- "A Song for You" was AMAZING!!! This song is also in the movie, so it holds special meaning for our dear Celine at this time. It sucked to read that people didn't like the song choice. The piano introduction always get to me everytime

 

- Celine wore a strapless, sweetheart neckline, black leathery-looking dress (not sure of material) - very sexy but the back sort of had a hole by her waist. I thought she didn't get zipped up @ first! Shoes were Christian Louboutin - the beige one with a border of black along the siding. Frida! I know you know this! I believe she wore them before

 

- RC was talked about a lot in the beginning & we found out that Charlie is a FEMALE lab!

 

- 1st commercial break: continued talking about the puppy while getting her hair fixed & makeup retouched. She said along the lines of "I can't talk!" & "I barely even moved. Do we have to fix my hair?" Zhane, her hair stylist was there.

 

- 2nd commercial break: she drank her water from a glass cup with a silver-plated metal straw. She loved it & Oprah uses them instead of plastic straws to be environmentally friendly. I think she said some stuff but can't remember. Very random.

 

- 3rd commercial break: they got ready for the Skype interviews. Again, forgot what was said.

 

- 4th commercial break: they got ready for the performance. Makeup/hair was touched up again. Annie Horth came out to fix Celine's dress. It was really nice to see Annie in person!

 

- Nothing was really new during the interview. As I sat there watching, since Oprah commands & asks the questions...the interview was pretty standard. Questions about the film, travelling, home life during break, etc. As we mentioned it was mainly about the TTEOTW film.

 

- I was hoping for audience Q&A but didn't happen.

 

- Anyhoo...cat is out of the bag....but

Oprah asked if Celine was coming back to Vegas and she said - yes, it's not a rumor. And that the show will be with a big orchestra and feature her hits and tribute to hollywood films?!?!! That it would start March 15, 2011. It was very rushed...

So March 15, 2011... that's great it's not starting on NYE! More time to rehearse!

I'm so glad she sang "Allelujah", I loooove that song. Its original is by Leonard Cohen, right?

And about her pic of ASFY, I couldn't say I'm dying to hear it, but I'm thankful she dedicated it to us fans! And I hope it will mark a new direction on her live songs choice for the Vegas show! I don't like the song itself to be honest tho. Thanks for all the updated Celinefreak!

 

The only thing I'm not too keen on is that she may sing Hollywood Films' theme songs (right?) 'cos she has plenty of her own songs never performed live (I hope hope hope she would include "Then You Look at Me" in the "Hollywood tribute" tho).

But overall sick about her singing her same old hits again and again... hope they are live though... or that by that she meant her songs and not "her hits" literally... But oh well, with a big orchestra I'm sure they would re-arrange the songs! So I'm not too sure on how to take this news. Well, I guess we'll have to wait and see...

Regarding my seat, my party & I and these 3 other women were the 1st in line @ approx 8:30am (the ladies were after us) The "A-show" taping hasn't started, and we were told there were 6 spots for us to immediately fill, so 1 person would be the odd one out..it was me in this case but my friend's mom & family friend stayed behind while I was able to attend the 1st taping with my friend.

 

We got ushered in and went throught security & got our purses/bags checked. They remove all cellphones, cameras, pens & any sheets of paper (to prevent from writing during the taping) and bagged them up for pick up after the show.

 

Then off we go & sat in remaining empty seats throughout the audience.

 

Because we had left the lineup to sit in the "A-show" taping, we were still considered first ppl in the lineup because of our #s that we get with our contract release forms. After the 1st taping my friend & I joined the rest of the "B-show" ppl who were in waiting at an area upstairs to the entrance. So we weren't sure how calling & seating would work inside the studio & naturally the 3 ladies & my party....we assumed we'd be one of the 1st people seated.

 

After a million years, we started to get seated around 12:30pm but they called out a bunch of random parties by their full names registered. They probably called a good 20 groups before they called everyone with sheet #s 1-50 (and then all remaining #s up to 200-something) to head inside. My friend's mom was a bit unhappy as when her & the family-friend stood in line & skipping the 1st taping......the good folks of Oprah had ensured us really good seats. Except by the time we got called, the front half of the floor seats were full and they started filling the risers. Needless to say we were disappointed because the 3 ladies we were with had been called first and they sat right smacked in the middle on the front row surrounding Oprah's circular stage - and here we were....sitting on the risers in the back!!!

 

We were told that all of the "biggest fans" who wrote in and were chosen had the opportunity to sit the closest to the front floor seats. My friend's mom went looking for the show producers to say our party were promised good seats, but since this happened the same time when the seats were 80% full...they could only give us 1 great floor seat which ended up being me!! My friend and her mom really wanted me to get one of the best seats, it was very selfless!!

 

I got ushered by the primary show producer lady, close to the very front and sat me down @ the last seat of the left stage walkway! Little did I know that seat was on the walkway that Celine came down on....so she was going to walk past me while heading to the round stage!!! I got soooo excited and was jump-clapping to cheer on our woman & ended up blocking part of Celine's path - which I quickly moved back cause Celine looked at me! Hahaha

 

So it's going to be interesting seeing how my reaction looks like on tv! LOL My seat was overall....amazing so I am very grateful to my friend & her mom!!!! In the studio, it was really cold with blowing wind....so we were all shivering while watching the taping. Guess it was to keep us awake?! Hahaha

 

Anyhow that's my story! be on the lookout for an Asian girl in turquoise top & gray pants! Hehe

It has been a remarkable day for us in Chicago! We started our day at 6am and didn't want to waste a minute! The show was fantastic and Celine was so funny - joking around and being her usual self. It was so nice to see that side of her in person! We soaked up every single part - on the edge of our seats with tears in our eyes.

 

I can't really say too much at the moment but Celine looked so beautiful and I got to tell her so outside and have a photo with her, and was lucky enough to also get her autograph - I will treasure it forever! I am sooo thankful for this day

 

Also we were spoke with Rene for a while and managed to tell him that 14 of us girls met through the forum and at Omaha, he was so amazed and he tapped Celine to get her attention (as she was just finishing talking to the last few people from her window) and she turned and rene explained about us! She said woww and was genuinely surprised and so happy for us! It was a real dream come true and we managed to film it too !

 

Celine was so happy generally and it was so lovely to see her very relaxed and full of smiles.

 

This day has been truly amazing and I will never ever forget it.

Yep! And we know she saw the birthday one... but haven't heard if she saw the tour one, yet. Maybe if the videos were mentioned she would have remembered? I know she has seen videos I've made before, but they were from just me and I didn't include the url. BTW, whoever was 'with it' enough to remember to mention the forum, awesome! It took me several times before I could form words.

So you got to go to both the A and B shows? Wow! What was the first show about? And, awesome that you got such a great seat - your friend's mom reminds me of mine, she would have done the same thing for me! Were you the only one who got to sit in the middle/floor seats? If so, that's shocking.

I am sorry that there is no confirmation for a new show in Vegas with
