Wow i'm amazed about how people say that nobody was in the theater like alone or 6 at the most 15 persons!!!

Yesterday when i went no seats were available!

I had to seat on the 2nd row, my neck still hurts but it was worth it. I missed so much things cause I couldn't see the full screen at the same time.

People were clapping at the end It was great!!!

 

I'm amaze too considering the fact that our theaters are full. Maybe they are testing the different markets and it is intented like this, as there seemed to have not done much publicity(even none in some cases). Except for Larry, Oprah, GMA mentioning it, maybe they want to know how many fans will turn out and how many people could go if there was a big publicity campaign.

 

People were clapping at the end of my screening too!

 

Maybe Quebec is just crazy in love with Celine?!! Thats prolly it. But i haven't seen any commercial playing on tv. No youtube commercial either. I haven't seen publicity in newspapers other than the reviews. i think sony sucks a little, or maybe Rene just didn't want to invest much in publicity either... At least there was a movie poster outside the theater.

Well nothing in Le Soleil... lolll but yeah your right, i didn't check journal de quebec, ...Pierre Karl prolly gave him a few publicity here and there in those newspapers...

Oh i wanted to ask.... throughout the movie i kept smelling perfume like if someone was spraying perfume every 15 min....

I thought that was weird but still enjoyed it! I thought it was maybe the theater that was spraying that...its the 1st time this happens to me at the movies. No one had a similar experience while watching Celine TTEOTW?

Blast.....I was going to drive to Leicester today to see the film but it snowed overnight and it's still coming down thick and fast. Don't think I can risk it, as much as I love her

well you know seeing as though the theatres are soo empty , a foreign freind could sneak in his camcorder and record the whole thing. I'm pretty sure NO ONE would even notice. how can they, no one is even in the theatre

That's the problem, the UK is not used to snow and are not equiped to deal with it. We don't have snow chains or winter tyres. We barely get the roads gritted! And having 'written off' one car in snow a few years ago you can understand my reluctance to get myself killed

I'm going to see the movie this Saturday (Feb. 27th) at the Rave Motion Pictures West Chester 18 at 2pm (the only showing of the day). Anyone from the forum going or interested in going that's close to West Chester, OH or Cincinnati? I CAN'T WAIT! ROLL ON TO THE WEEKEND!

When I went here in NJ on Thursday night there were 17 people in the theater. Im going again tonight, there will be 4 of us so maybe since it's the weekend it'll be more filled. There were NO posters or marques anywhere for the film. In fact, on the list of movies and times by the cashier it only said "Celine: DL" and it said the same going into the actual theater. So people won't even notice it's there - what a shame! I haven't seen any print ads or tv commercials for it in my area. the local newspaper did have a nice review of it in the weekend section.

 

Hmm, I wanna work in the promotion/marketing dept at Sony so i can sit at my desk and play games & sleep all day!

They had ONE solitary poster for the movie and I want to buy it! They typically will sell them, I'm going to call here shortly and see if anyone can tell me anything.

 

I went to see the film this afternon, and it was totally brilliant. There was about 40 people in the theater so at leastit wasnt empty. But the one thing I was really shocked at and upset by, was the fact that there was not one mention of the film anywhere, not a picture, not a sign NOTHING!!!! So even if people might have wanted to go and watch it, they would not have known it was on. Such bad publicity from Sony, no wonder the theatres are empty.

They had it listed on our theater site and they had the show times listed by the poster but that was all.

Here's my review--just got back from seeing it at an Atlas Cinema:

All I can is wow! I loved seeing all of the different countries Celine visited and seeing what they did with their spare time. I know some of the concert was shown and my rents thought that part was kinda bleh cuz we saw the show in Cleveland and saw that same stuff, but I don't care! Reliving a Celine experience whether seeing it before once or many times is still indescribable. The only dissapointments was that ABM wasn't fully done and the country aspects were short in some countries I really fully wanted to see like Sweden and Italy. But oh well....So now I am going to save up my money to see her in 2011 in Vegas. My family and I were going to go in 2005 but she cancelled cuz of her neck and we never got a refund on plane tickets and the bad thing was that it was going to be a combination bday gift for both me and my Mom.

 

So anywayz, the movie rating: 8/10

well the very nice woman on the phone said that usually they'll just store the posters or keep them for promotional stuff, but sometimes they do like a contest and you can win them. She said that she would give my information, my name, phone number and that I was interested in the CTTEOTW poster and give it to her manager and then if they were going to give it away and not store it or do a contest with it then the manager would call me. You've put me to shame I could have gone to see it in sheffield which would have taken me 2 hours to get there 2 hours back and 2 hours for the show! But snowing quite badly here as well in teesside so didnt want to risk it! I'll have to wait for DVD.

I think it was a very private meeting, no camera. Only some pics were taken.

 

And Valentina, I believe you 100%, never had any doubt that this meeting was real. Many times, reality is even better than fiction! "La réalité dépasse souvent la fiction", that's what we say in french. Bravo à toi, you're a lucky girl!!! and you're very cute and come across as a very cheerful human being in the movie.

I saw this movie yesterday, and it was PHENOMANAL! (Sorry if that's spelled wrong.) I wanted to go again today, but my mom wouldn't let me, soooo my aunt's taking me again next Saturday! YAY! Anyway, for my review. First, Celine was very funny, and so were RC and Rene. There's one part when they (Celine, Rene, RC) go to a former concentration camp and at one point Celine says "I just can't take it anymore." She breaks down in tears and leans up against Rene. There's also one part where I feel terrible for Celine. She says her throat is closing and her neck is stiff so they go to the hospital. They have to painfully probe a tube up her nose. A tear streams down her cheek and she's crying but dosen't say a word. Another part was very funny but I'll wait for you guys to see it. I think my favorite part though was when Celine is, I don't remember where, but wants to say something in their language. So the woman first tells Rene how to say it first while Celine isn't present. Then she tells Celine while Rene isn't present. Celine dosen't think Rene knows about it so when she sees him she says the phrase. Rene tells her she's saying it wrong and they go back and forth for a little while. Finally Celine gets angry and tells him "I just spoke to the #1 teacher in the state and she told me..." before she could finish her sentence Rene says "Oh Celine the #1, not the #2." Celine trys to stay serious and angry but can't. She begins to laugh and says "It's okay my love, you know I'm right." Rene laughs and the hug. Sooo I'll wait till later to reveal my other favorite part!

I saw this this afternoon. It was fabulous! I knew I would enjoy it, but it was even better than I thought it would be. Celine always looks so beautiful. I really enjoyed getting to see her perform parts of various songs all around the world during her tour (I just loved all of her costumes for this tour). All of the behind the scene stuff with her family was wonderful as well. My friend who came with me loved the movie so much she wanted to get herself a new Celine cd and we went to the music store on the way to dinner and got her a copy of My Love.

 

Also, I had a bit of a dorky moment and had to take a picture of the movie poster outside the theater!

I loved this movie so much! I think I might have to see it multiple times in the theater. It really was just like being on the tour with her. What an amazing experience it looks like they had. Just one word. Wow!
