ashleylovesceline Posted February 21, 2010 at 06:16 AM Posted February 21, 2010 at 06:16 AM Yes, I'll ask tomorrow. He said it was two hours long though, and everything he had described to me was in the film - so I don't think they edited much out, if anything. But I will ask! I haven't been keeping up with this thread... there's going to be three hours released? I also wanted to add that although movie theaters (especially in the afternoon) aren't very full where I live, there were 15 people there today. I was shocked. For $16 a ticket, you wouldn't think many would show up - that's the power of Céline! Valentina, as I said to you before I loved your part! It was a true example of what it's like for a big fan to meet our Céline. You could see it was slowly sinking in that this was really happening, and it couldn't have been more genuine. I love this movie... can I pleeease have it on DVD now? It was so much more that I expected, she shared so much with us. Quote

I haven't been keeping up with this thread... there's going to be three hours released? It was written in many articles in Québec that they would release the three hour original as a bonus on a future DVD along with a full concert either from Montréal(for french-speakers) or from Boston(for the rest of the world). But this news wasn't given by René himself and no release date has been set yet. So we should be careful for now but I'm pretty sure it's not just a rumour as it's been written many times recently in french here. I have a feeling it won't be release until Europe sees it or until summertime and maybe later than that. It's just a personal feeling though. Either way, one has got to see this movie on the big screen first(if available), it's so amazing! Edited February 21, 2010 at 06:41 AM by Lou555 Quote

ValentinaAlcamo Posted February 21, 2010 at 11:47 AM Posted February 21, 2010 at 11:47 AM I think that not only loves the boy, but we can love even a friend ... friendship, respect, admiration, gratitude Are not LOVE? However...I prefer the late showings...and because of school I could not see the premiere of it. So finally, today I will see the movie, but it is at 2PM. Kind of early for me LOL. I would see it Monday, but that's a weekday! And I am busy! Maybe, if they premiered the movie on the weekend in the evening, there would be more people? Belle Céline Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:00 PM Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:00 PM (edited) there were only about six pepople not including my friend and I in the theater. Atleast four of them I could see clearly were little old ladies it was to dark in the theater and the other people were to far back for me to see clearly but I can tell you I was the only person my age there. Celinenvegas Posted February 21, 2010 at 05:23 PM Posted February 21, 2010 at 05:23 PM (edited) When I went here in NJ on Thursday night there were 17 people in the theater. Im going again tonight, there will be 4 of us so maybe since it's the weekend it'll be more filled. There were NO posters or marques anywhere for the film. In fact, on the list of movies and times by the cashier it only said "Celine: DL" and it said the same going into the actual theater. So people won't even notice it's there - what a shame! I haven't seen any print ads or tv commercials for it in my area. the local newspaper did have a nice review of it in the weekend section. Hmm, I wanna work in the promotion/marketing dept at Sony so i can sit at my desk and play games & sleep all day! Edited February 21, 2010 at 05:24 PM by Celinenvegas Quote ~J O E Y~
smw Posted February 21, 2010 at 05:37 PM Posted February 21, 2010 at 05:37 PM I saw the film last night. I was pleasantly surprised. While I wanted more of EVERYTHING - particularly footage from onstage - I was happy with how it turned out. Quote

zuv Posted February 21, 2010 at 07:12 PM Posted February 21, 2010 at 07:12 PM Wow i'm amazed about how people say that nobody was in the theater like alone or 6 at the most 15 persons!!!Yesterday when i went no seats were available!I had to seat on the 2nd row, my neck still hurts but it was worth it. I missed so much things cause I couldn't see the full screen at the same time. People were clapping at the end It was great!!! Quote
zoea2812 Posted February 21, 2010 at 07:26 PM Posted February 21, 2010 at 07:26 PM I went to see the film this afternon, and it was totally brilliant. There was about 40 people in the theater so at leastit wasnt empty. But the one thing I was really shocked at and upset by, was the fact that there was not one mention of the film anywhere, not a picture, not a sign NOTHING!!!! So even if people might have wanted to go and watch it, they would not have known it was on. Such bad publicity from Sony, no wonder the theatres are empty. Maybe they are testing the different markets and it is intented like this, as there seemed to have not done much publicity(even none in some cases). Except for Larry, Oprah, GMA mentioning it, maybe they want to know how many fans will turn out and how many people could go if there was a big publicity campaign. People were clapping at the end of my screening too! Edited February 21, 2010 at 07:35 PM by Lou555 Quote

Allie Posted February 21, 2010 at 07:56 PM Posted February 21, 2010 at 07:56 PM I finally go to see it yesterday! I went by myself for the first time ever to a movie (it wasn't that bad, there weren't that many people in the theater but I was so freaked out to do it, haha) and it was AMAZING. I laughed, I cried and I realized how much I freaking loved her. I can't really afford to see it again (I got free movie tickets for Christmas so that's what I used) but I cannot wait for it to come out on DVD. Best two hours of my LIFE. Quote

Shamrock_1982 Posted February 21, 2010 at 07:59 PM Posted February 21, 2010 at 07:59 PM (edited) I forgot to mention, at the Vue cinema today in Thurrock ( Lakeside shopping centre ) every poster box outside the cinema, had the huge posters for the movie, just like the premier in Florida, so I was quite impressed. And also leading up to the movie they played Celine songs in the cinema... it was really great and a nice touch I thought, so well done to Vue. zuv Posted February 21, 2010 at 08:21 PM Posted February 21, 2010 at 08:21 PM Oh i wanted to ask.... throughout the movie i kept smelling perfume like if someone was spraying perfume every 15 min....I thought that was weird but still enjoyed it! I thought it was maybe the theater that was spraying that...its the 1st time this happens to me at the movies. No one had a similar experience while watching Celine TTEOTW? lol i think i might be crazy Quote
