Lou555 Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:10 AM Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:10 AM (edited) Here is a quote of an article about the movie I want to share with you that I thought was very accurate : 'Celine' transcends the usual concert documentary by focusing on how pop music and sheer personality can bridge cultures. http://www.miamiherald.com/entertainment/story/1489236.html Edited February 21, 2010 at 02:12 AM by Lou555 Quote
ValentinaAlcamo Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:16 AM Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:16 AM Here are my thoughts about the movie, obviously there will be some SPOILERS I don't like to use that Special Spoiler Item. So stop reading me if you don't want to get spoiled 7. The italien girl fan part was grrrreat!!! I hope that part wasn't fake! If that was rehearsed Celine and the italian Girl are truly great actresses, but i doubt. (i say that because i think thats everyone's dream to meet celine this way and make it so unique like this, it was awesome) No it wasn't rehearsed pyb . Couldn't you tell? To me it was obvious it couldn't have been and I think those kind of reactions by some fans are pretty frequent when meeting Céline. Of course, this meeting was special as it was unique and funny cuz of both personnalities and spontaneous reactions. Don't you know already Pyb that this Italian girl is a member on this forum? I think she has already posted some comments on this topic. Being from Italy, I think she said she didn't get the opportunity to watch the movie yet though. I'm so happy for her, she'll be able to keep for ever a very special souvenir of their meeting on tape. I was pretty sure too that it wasn't rehearsed , but it was sooooooo great and beautiful to see both of them react to one another. But i have to say, what made me doubt just a little is when Celine started to sing with her. To me it was she suchhhhhh a random song!!! But i guess it wasn't for Celine !!! (no i didnt hear abou the italian girl, ive only been here since november on this forum and i haven't come on this thread since feb 3rd because people started to talk about the movie after oprah) Didn't you LOOOOOOOOVVE the movie Lou!!??!!! It was great!! wasn't it??? LOL i'm still excited even after 2hrs and 23 min. Good thing you kept the big red spoiler hello guys,is important for me to point out that my meeting with Celine was not organized, I did not know if I would see Celine and I think this has been understood by my reaction. regarding the song that I and celine sang that this song is one of the most popular songs here in Italy ... this song is titled "The Italian" and is sung by Toto Cutugno.this singer in the 80s did concerts in Canada and Celine took part in one night on a show like this singer and is also why celine knows the refrain of this sing. I hope you will believe that my meeting with Celine is true ... all that has happened between us is the result of our spontaneity and the deep love I feel for celine.Io I hope that you have understood my words ... sorry for my terrible English. 1 kiss from Italy LOL How great? i get a response from the real italian girl from the movie!!!!! You were suchhhhhhh a greatttttttt fan!!!! Not the typical shy fan (wich is not a bad thing) but it was refreshing to see you, a fan who could speek up and tell her what you really wanted to tell her!!! You know what i mean!!! That part was really emotional! This was truly a highlight of the movie that i'm sure people will remember the most!! Congrats on being in Celine's movie!!!! btw your english is perfect!!! WOW so cool!! ohhh lol i'm so exicted to answer you back that i forgot to say that....i didn't want to emphazise on the fake thing.... i meant more that it was SOO GREAT to see both of you, having so much fun, that i couldn't believe it was that much spontaneous.... But i know it was you are so nice!!!! I'm happy that you believe in my words This is proof that if you have a pure heart people will see!I can not wait to see the film! Quote

Lou555 Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:30 AM Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:30 AM (edited) You can say "Mon amour" to other people then a lover you know Lindsey..to a friend, to a a child...to anyone you love dearly. I think Céline is always shocked and happy when people go to the trouble of learning and using french words to talk to her. Edited February 21, 2010 at 02:31 AM by Lou555 Quote

Koolan Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:38 AM Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:38 AM What does Celine say when the golf ball almost hit her? The whole audience in my theatre absolutley loved every minute of it and were so glad that they came. Mind you, as the whole audience consisted of me and my coat, that's not too surprising. Yeah, I was completley alone in the, not too small, cinema for the show. Except for a staff member who watched a few minutes of it mid-move. Well worth the money. Isn't it used the same way in english when you call someone "my love"? Anyway I guess it's because they were meeting for the first time and she said it in french...but I'm sure Céline thought it was very charming. What does Celine say when the golf ball almost hit her? Céline says : "Youuuupelaye!!!" dear Vic! Edited February 21, 2010 at 03:23 AM by Lou555 Quote
Lucie Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:47 AM Posted February 21, 2010 at 02:47 AM Great movie! Favorite moment was when Celine and Rene are in their car and finally arrive home and Rene is sleeping... Celine singing "My love we are finally home, time to unbuckle and get out of the car" to wake him up. Good stuff! Only 6 people in the theater though... almost like a prive viewing hehe I LOVED this part!!! The theater we were in last night was pretty large... but only 28 people. And I was the youngest by far.Can you describe Celine's reactions during the movie premiere? I want to know all the little things that happened inside the theater. I am just seeing this now!! I've been sick - too much excitement I guess! Basically, whenever the fans laughed, we were cracking up at the same time Celine and her family were! So if you were laughing, Celine was too She laughed a LOT! She made a comment during the lion scene where she gives Rene the lion but I can't remember what it was. Every time I turned around, she was watching it really intently. Saw the movie for a 3rd time today. I might go again next weekend, everyone I go with insists on paying for me, I can't give Celine my $15 Valentina, your part is great! I hope you get to see it soon I also need that version of Show Must Go On like yesterday!!! LOVE!! Quote facebook // twitter

Some weeks ago I translated it as "Yikes!" in english. What do you think Pyb? And yeah you're right it's truly a quebec expression. and it's "hippelaille" in the movie you're right again not "youpelaye" as I thought(which would have been good too and meant the same).
