Celine: Through The Eyes Of The World

Hey folks,

 

don't post often here but wanted to let you know this.

 

I called my contact at Sony BMG Germany today. He said there are plans to show thsi movie in Germany as well but SONY US is not giving clear infos at the moment. There's a conference going on/there will be a conference in NY and he will have more infos at the end of the week. So this relates to Darrens post about mid week.

He also said sth about "Live in Paris" He didn't know anything about it. Maybe the tour dvd from Europe? HE also said that CTTEOTW is NOT a Tour DVD but a mixture of everything she experienced through this tour, so a tour dvd is still up!!!!! sth we already know. I'll keep you up with news as soon as I hear sth!!!

It would be amazing if we got it in Germany!

And hat about "Live in Paris"? I didn't really get what you were trying to say.

 

What I wanted to tell you is that there is sth called Live in Paris but my contact doesn't know WHAT it is. It might be this Re-release of Live á Paris from the mid 90's or it might be a Tour DVD from the TC World tour. I dunno. I'll keep you posted!

I doubt it. Firstly there's already been 2 DVDs from Paris, and secondly, only the people in Boston and Montreal got the message on the screen before the show saying they were filming them for the DVD.

This is absolutely typical of Sony.

 

A highly awaited Celine release that's 3-4 weeks away and really no-one knows anything about it.

 

Where it's showing, what countries it's showing in, what time's it's showing at?

 

Give us some information Sony we are your customers!!

I don't know, I have a feeling this time it might actually be René's "fault"..

As it was originally planned to just release it on DVD, but René wanted it to be released to theaters too.... maybe it was hard to actually get it released and they're still planning it all.... It's just weird nothing's set in stone, while it's less than a month away..

It would be so cool to have two versions, a french and english version of the tour.

don't know exactly where I read this on the forum, but about the Live in Paris part - it is a re-release of the Live a Paris cd. I have seen that on amazon by clicking on a link I saw somewhere on this forum, so I think that is about it.

But I find it also strange.. that there is so less information about where the movie will be released, when the dvd will come, what will be on the dvd, with only so less time when it comes to the theaters... by the way, my email to sony hasn't been replied yet. I asked when it will be released in Holland.. CelineDion.nl team, any information yet?

In addition to its release across North America, Sony Pictures have confirmed the release of Celine: Through The Eyes Of the World in movie theatres in the UK and Australia next month. They are working on releasing the movie in other markets as well. Plans are also underway for a worldwide release of the DVD version this Spring.

The main reason why they show the movie in cinemas would be, for sony, making money. But if only we as diehardfans know about the release and no promotion/poor promotion, how will the world know Celine will be in the cinemas in ..less than a month to go?
