Celine: Through The Eyes Of The World

I did some calling, and none of the movie theatres in and around Nashville have even heard of Celine Dion:Through the Eyes of the World...... I am getting a bit nervous now. I was told by a few that it would probably only be released in the major cities such as Chicago, LA, New York.... I realize these ppl prob have no clue but I was hoping for at least 1 screen in secondary cities in the US...I mean LILV came to Nashville for one night! This is crazy! If I have to go to Chicago I need to know soon! If I have to go to New York, I mean, I need to know. I can't just make plans 2 days before. I mean I would, but I would rather not have to be stressed out like that lol.

Edit* I called Regal Cinemas and Malco cinemas and the private ones that usually get the artsy releases in limited release. They said if they knew anything it would be at the latest a week before the movie shows in their theatre. I hope it doesn't come down to that! I realize Sony hasn't released the movie location info to the actual theatres yet, but geeeez.

Just watch, I'll get all frustrated about it today and TOMORROW they will release the info bwahaha. That's my luck

If you go to the official AMC theaters website, they list the movie as coming soon So, that leads me to believe that AMC will be at least one of the theaters that will show the film.

Well there is an AMC in Charlotte, to which I plan on going (hopefully). So we can always meet there (you could even drive from Nashville).

I don't think the font they used is so bad

It's never right... When they use the old logo, they need to change it coz it's old, used too much and needs updating, and when they use a new logo, it's not right coz the old logo isn't used....

That's the way it is!!

Because there are logos and logos and logos, but this one with that font (same as the "celine" logo on OH) is ridiculous compared with the old logo ^_^

AW SONY! They faked me out just now! ahahahaha I JUST got an email from Sony Pictures and I was like lkahfkashgfksdgjfgajdgasgduiasdgiasgd but it didn't have any CTTEOTW info in it....count to ten and breathe again....haha

I know for sure it's playing in Boston! It's playing at my National Showcase Cinemas? I'm not sure if it's an AMC or not but the poster's there~! I think you guys are worrying to much...I'm sure it's playing all across, it's just not going to be heavily promoted in smaller towns. All the major cities will have like posters and billboards I'm sure.

For all you New Englanders out there, I just received this email back from the Director of Marketing for Zyacorp (they run CINEMAGIC theaters). I urged him to add more locations- Hmm... Celine on IMAX??? Hooksett is in New Hampshire- FYI

Claudette is going to phone them and I will as well :0).

Ok I have called Sony SA and they are going to get back to me. I told them that a lot of people want to see it and that they please need to show it.

But I don't think it's true: "This Is It" was released EVERYWHERE, including Italy. "Through The Eyes Of The World" seems to have a limited distribution, since, for example, apparently it won't be released here in Italy and in many other European countries.

I've noticed that quite a few fans, not only on here on the english section, but on the other language discussions, are really unhappy about the text in the title of the poster.... and would prefer the ''old logo'' that they brought back for the promo of this movie on the hottickets website.

Some have even drafted up pictures of how they'd roughly like it to look and I strongly agree with that decision also..... the old logo would look soooo much better, even if they changed the colour of the logo.
But this text, looks like the calender/time function thats on my new HTC phone, and looks sci-fi like someone else said... and I loveeeeee the poster but this ''Celine'' font ruins it just a bit, in my opinion.

So I have dropped Sony, and Celine's management an email to see if they can change the ''Celine'' font to the ''Celine'' logo... but I'm guessing I'm probably to late and its already gone to print....... but hey, you have to try, otherwise you can't complain right...

I wonder that for something so big, why they use such a font... i know there are enough people think we are bashing sony or the designers..but come on..it just looks cheap this way..sorry..

I just emailed sony about the movie - when it will be released on dvd and most important, if it will be shown in the Dutch cinemas.
keeping fingers crossed!

maybe we could do a petition under te dutch fans, how many people want to see the movie in holland?
that way we have more chance?

We're already working on it..... And a petition won't work, it will only worsen things.
Keep an eye out for news on the site of the Dutch Céline fanclub.

Oh thank you so much! I haven't had an answer back yet. Hope , if it will be released, not only in de Randstad - but hopefully also in the northern part ( or zwolle ). But if that's not the case, i hope to see it in Amsterdam - (if I can be be there at the given time)

I asked someone from Sony Music Finland about this and they didn't know about the theatre release, but said that they'll be releasing it as a commercial DVD in April! He also gave me the name of the guy who I should contact at Sony Pictures about this, so Finns, stay tuned!

they have designed such a glamourous logo of the old Celine logo, it looks so much better I think!

i can make a bigger version, but for now this will do - i changed the font in the under part of the poster too, with a golden-like font
