I LOVE the poster, the official and the non-official ones!

But they really did a great job on the official imo.

however that font looks cheap to me, also in the french trailer.

But it also looks like what they use on some stations, airports, on the informations boards.

I called Sony Pictures Australia again today. I can see this will be a weekly phone call for a while!

 

They said they are still having discussions and if a positive decision is made to show the movie here it will be on the Sony Pictures Australia website.

 

I had a good vibe from the call but there's still no decision as yet.

I just emailed sony about the movie - when it will be released on dvd and most important, if it will be shown in the Dutch cinemas.

keeping fingers crossed!

 

maybe we could do a petition under te dutch fans, how many people want to see the movie in holland?

that way we have more chance?

I so agree with you! Sometimes I think who makes this covers/posters? I mean some fonts are just appropiate for this.

And this is one of them..it is more like a font - and it also looks like a cheap font! - of a science fiction movie.Maincoverphoto looks great

but yes, they should have used the official Celine Dion logo instead of this cheap font!

and speaking of - through the eyes of the WORLD - it is only fair when the movie will be shown in every city of the Taking Chances Tour.

there is more than America! in Europe the tour was very succesful too! so we deserve it just as much as the american fans

We're already working on it..... And a petition won't work, it will only worsen things.

Well Cinemark theaters still hasn't emailed back again and Marquee Cinema's hasn't emailed at all. I'm just going to start calling both theaters closer to that date of the movie and see what they can tell me.

I'm assuming that the movie will be shown in Canada Montreal because she's going to make her promo on TVA with Michel Jasmin.

 

However, did anyone buy any tickets for the show? Does anyone know when they will be on sale and which cinema theatres will be showing the movie in Canada?

 

I checked cinemamontreal and there's no mention of her film in the february release movies.

I've noticed that quite a few fans, not only on here on the english section, but on the other language discussions, are really unhappy about the text in the title of the poster.... and would prefer the ''old logo'' that they brought back for the promo of this movie on the hottickets website.

 

Some have even drafted up pictures of how they'd roughly like it to look and I strongly agree with that decision also..... the old logo would look soooo much better, even if they changed the colour of the logo.

But this text, looks like the calender/time function thats on my new HTC phone, and looks sci-fi like someone else said... and I loveeeeee the poster but this ''Celine'' font ruins it just a bit, in my opinion.

 

So I have dropped Sony, and Celine's management an email to see if they can change the ''Celine'' font to the ''Celine'' logo... but I'm guessing I'm probably to late and its already gone to print....... but hey, you have to try, otherwise you can't complain right...

You are very right Ire, many fans are asking for the logo back since many years ago too, but I suppose there's something with the rights behind this... It's not normal that the official site is still using the old logo for her merchandise, and now we get still some promo pictures (like this one of the movie) with her old logo, but then when it comes to "official" thing it vanishes and dissappears completely .

 

Remember we haven't seen this logo since 2003 in any of her music products, but we do see it in other products like her merchandise in the boutique etc. Something strange that surely has to do with the uses and the reproduction rights of this logo definetly

i you for trying Darren. Although for me the logo has the meaning of Celine traveling, looks like the font that's used in some information boards on train stations and airports. So it's like Celine around the world and it makes sense to me.

Its on Cinoche.com some info are still missing, don't worry they will present the movie in Canada for sure. In Montreal and Quebec.

I think it's crazy we don't even know where the movie is going to be playing....I'm planning on traveling to see it with fans and I need to know where I'm going and be able to buy tickets! I can't even believe we can't do that yet....4 weeks out!

Not sure if this will help anyone but I found an email address to contact a person at Sony Pictures The Hot Ticket about info. I just emailed the man listed at the bottom of this http://www.sonypictures.com/corp/press_rel...Hot_Ticket.html page and I hope to hear back from him. I'm hoping he can tell me more than the one theater here that told me they weren't scheduled to get the movie as of right now.

 

Linds I wish I could travel, I'm car-less and my friends that do have cars won't drive to the captial here, so if they don't show it in my city but they do in the capital I still probably won't be able to see it so I'm really really really hoping either cinemark gets it or marquee gets it.

It's never right... When they use the old logo, they need to change it coz it's old, used too much and needs updating, and when they use a new logo, it's not right coz the old logo isn't used....

I wish I knew people close to me that could call and email maybe it would get them thinking, hey maybe we should show this everywhere. I mean I assumed Cinemark would get it because they are a big theater chain and popular.

I did some calling, and none of the movie theatres in and around Nashville have even heard of Celine Dion:Through the Eyes of the World...... I am getting a bit nervous now. I was told by a few that it would probably only be released in the major cities such as Chicago, LA, New York.... I realize these ppl prob have no clue but I was hoping for at least 1 screen in secondary cities in the US...I mean LILV came to Nashville for one night! This is crazy! If I have to go to Chicago I need to know soon! If I have to go to New York, I mean, I need to know. I can't just make plans 2 days before. I mean I would, but I would rather not have to be stressed out like that lol.

 

Edit* I called Regal Cinemas and Malco cinemas and the private ones that usually get the artsy releases in limited release. They said if they knew anything it would be at the latest a week before the movie shows in their theatre. I hope it doesn't come down to that! I realize Sony hasn't released the movie location info to the actual theatres yet, but geeeez.

 

Just watch, I'll get all frustrated about it today and TOMORROW they will release the info bwahaha. That's my luck
