I'm assuming she did lie about it (who knows, maybe she'll prove me wrong) and that her voice is simply needs rest because she's not used to singing so much live and she's struggling. Yes, live. I know she lips for some parts but homegirl is definitely doing a lot of live vocals. That doesn't mean she doesn't have a voice anymore, she just needs different techniques I guess, I don't know. I also think it's unprofessional she cancelled last minute and it sucks for the fans that wanted to see her. I have no idea how she's going to make it up. There might've been something in her contract that highlights things like this (as there should be if there wasn't).She just better not cancel for my show lol With that said, there was a roster leaked with the Billboard performances (not sure if it's real) and it showed Mariah is going to do Someday/Infinity and it's supposedly going to be 6 minutes long. We all know that she dind't lost her voice, she lost the ability to do some notes, and I think that whisper voices is ruining her real singing voice I love when she does songs like almost home or forever so strong her voice maybe the desert is not good for her, Celine had problems with the sinusitis at the beginning, remember! A friend of mine who's a huge MC fan reasured me that the high notes of Infinity were lipped because he listened the whole thing with his headphones and could tell when the playback kicked in. Other than that, I think her performance was OK, could have been worse and could have been better. That said, I wouldn't pay money to see a show of someone sounding like she does at the moment. There are a few gems on the albums she's released since Tommy but if any of them were actually, really cohesive I would have to say Butterfly, Emancipation and Me I Am Mariah are really good from start to finish. The Butterfly album is one of my personal favorites (it was the first Mariah album I ever listened to, so I'll always have a soft spot for it) but sometimes I completely forget about Rainbow (with the exception of Petals, Bliss and how can someone forget Heartbreaker). I liked the Glitter soundtrack (now the movie on the other hand...) and Charmbracelet has a few good ones like Subtle Invitation and Lullaby. Is it bad I really, really want her to do a jazz album?? All of us who support big, well-known singers, we tend to forget that some people just don't care...
