jamesandceline Posted June 2, 2015 at 09:27 AM Posted June 2, 2015 at 09:27 AM for me as much as i like a bit of mariahs music. she just doesnt come accross as that much of a nice person as opossed to celine who has remained so grounded and humble throughout her career. mariah just seens to live in mimi land where its all about me me me. i felt sorry for her watching that awful rockerfella performance. hopefully performing live night after night will bring her head out of the clouds. plus it annoys me that its called a residency shes doing, its only like a couple of months shes doing it for. she needs to try doing night after night over 200 shows a year like celine did. hope she takes celines practical advice and uses humidity aswell not hating against any mariah fans. just sharing an opinion 3 Quote

Seeing this video of hers I just wonder why can't Celine do this, find a really good song, do a good quality video and in that way mark her comeback to Vegas? I saw an article today on my Twitter TL and Morgan (her brother for those of you who don't know) went to the press and talked about Mariah in a not so positive way?? I thought they were close so I was a bit shocked to read it. It made me wonder how Celine's kept her family so quiet from saying anything that would hurt her image. I mean, homegirl's got 13 siblings (she can't be super close to all of them can she?), and Mariah only has 2. But then again Celine had a good foundation growing up, and Mariah hasn't. Although I don't like how she belittles how she used to look (more conservative, etc. I think that shows some serious image issues/lack of confidence). I wish Celine would do some reflecting on both her French and English catalogue/career. I know she didn't write her material -- so she isn't as connected to those songs as Mariah is -- but it would still be nice to hear some behind-the-scene stories and to see how Celine feels about some of the songs that we love so much. 3 Quote

From Butterfly-onwards, she's become a shadow of her old self. Aside from the infamous vocal deterioration after the Daydream Tour, almost everything has changed. The way she's being interviewed, her personality, everything! She was quite humble and grounded during her prime. And now, here she is. Always wants to be introduced as the biggest selling blah blah. Like she's the greatest creature that ever existed. Her ego has become bigger than her actual talent. I used to really like her. She was my 2nd favorite after Celine. But now, I can't find just one reason to like about her. She's so unlikable nowadays. Always looking like a desperate 45 yr old trying to look hip, with her breasts getting overexposed in her recent photos. Always talking about her 18 US #1's and how she sold 200m albums even though no one is asking. It's very tiring to hear. It's being very self centered to me. Calling people around her "dahhhling" is just very irritating. I really think these are the reasons why her career has gone downhill since Butterfly. I did enjoy her last album Me. I am Mariah. I think it's a solid record and one of her best, but at this point, she needs a career overhaul. Almost everything she's been doing lately has become just a vanity project. 4 Quote

I'd rather see old Mariah wearing her VOL outfit,long dress singing Forever on tour,or shorts etc singing Fantasy,than seeing big Mariah squeezing herself into very tight revealing dresses. I was a fan from VOL , loved everything about her. Well before I was a fan of Celine. From Honey/Butterfly a massive change. I'm all for making your own decisions, but some for MC didn't pay off. Sadly. Tommy was a great manager and made some amazing decisions. Artists should be able to make their own decisions but they still don't know everything. Everyone still needs guidance. 3 Quote
