Up Out My Face looks like a cheap porn video and Angels Cry is Mariah touching/posing in the rain with some studio shots. I highly doubt either song will be a hit, considering they are the same songs released in September 2009 with a random person added. And neither person is gonna make people rush to iTunes and buy the single. So the release is useless. Why release the same songs with a person added?

I agree, there is no hope for MOAIA/Angels Advocate. She should just take a break for a year or two and come back fresh and not having that meddling Nick Cannon in her career. And yes I do agree that H.A.T.E.U. is a worse video.

I would never imagine Mariah going back to her Glitter/flop days after the massive success of the Emancipation of Mimi. It's sad when I think about it Instead of releasing the same songs with rappers for her remix album, she should of just change the structure of the song to make it unrecognizable, kinda like what J.Lo did with her remix album.

I agree especially when it is happening with a quality album like Memoirs where the hooks are good and the lyrics are pretty decent. Certain songs are at par with some of her best songs of her career. It's just sad to see that artists like Ke$ha, who for heaven's sake can't sing, is raking in huge single sales while songs like H.A.T.E.U. flopped big time

It's sad when Glitter had much stronger vocal acrobatic tracks and it failed i loved Glitter

I saw her yesterday in Montreal and she was amazing! She arrived 1:20 late, she cut off 3 songs but still was so great! First Mariah concert for me and I'd go back anytime! Even if she doesn't have a strong stage presence she's really funny, talks a lot and she finds the way to captivate us! Her Live voice was awesome! I know she uses many tracks but the real voice sounded real good! Love you MC! Merci Beaucoup!

 

I don't know if the tour is flopping but it was full in Bell Center! The biggest venue of the tour with TO. 8 000 screaming Fans. The crowd went crazy!

I disagree with you. I prefer Memoirs over Glitter maybe cos it reminds me a lot of Butterfly. Tricky did a very good job with most of the tracks. I like one or two songs of Glitter but not the whole album. As for the David Foster production, I am glad she's not working with him. Walter, yes, defo Mariah should work with her in the future but not David. I would not want David to even work with Celine. For me, he's passe.

For me the issue isn't vocally, it's production wise/lyrically. Yes I do enjoy the album but the production is so generic. Every track has finger snaps or a cheap R&B beat (Angels Cry would've been a MUCH better song with a piano and organic live instruments, and Languishing would be better without the finger snaps).Also, lyrically, she's not that good with The-Dream. They make so many word plays and ghetto lyrics that it's annoying. The two best lyrics on the album, Angels Cry and Languishing, are without him and I don't think it's a coincidence. Comparing her lover to fries at McDonalds? "Shoulda had another mechanic under mai hood"? What is she trying to prove? I mean, that's way below her standards. Her lyrics have only been this ghetto/word play-ey with him, and that's not a coincidence either. Mariah thinks this is like her older material and it really isn't besides Languishing.
