MARIAH CAREY APPEARS ON MTV'S "TOTAL FINALE LIVE"

 

 

It's the end of a teenage scream-filled music video snippet era when MTV's "Total Request Live" (or "TRL") ends it's 10-year-run with a final episode on Sunday, November 16th. Some of the biggest names in pop music will be on hand for the farewell, including Justin Timberlake, Mariah Carey, Taylor Swift, Kid Rock, and Hilary Duff.

Performers include Beyonce, Fall Out Boy, 50 Cent, and the Backstreet Boys. Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and Nelly will hit the stage together for a one-time-only collaboration. Timberlake will be reunited with his former 'NSYNC bandmate JC Chasez, while former "TRL" countdown toppers Fred Durst, Korn's Jonathan Davis, and Blink 182's Travis Baker will also appear. Former TRL VJ's, including Dave Holmes, Jesse Camp, Hilarie Burton and Vanessa Minnillo will also make appearances.

The show will be hosted by current host Damien Fahey and Carson Daly, the former host who began with the show's premiere in September of 1998. The show grew to popularity with the teen pop boom of 'NSYNC, Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears.

Many are wondering if Spears, the only artist with the most #1 retired music videos on "TRL" and dubbed the First Lady of "TRL" in 2003, will make an appearance on the final episode. She has not yet been confirmed but if the finale takes a cue from the shows 10-year history, there's always room for surprises.

 

 

Yay she'll be there for the last time ... well she def has to since she had the biggest TRL moment. Hopefully they'll talk about it as well.

As expected ''The Ballads'' flopped LMAO! It peaked at #61 on Billboard European Top 100 Albums.

 

#54 actually. As far as I'm concerned it's released only in 3 countries. (UK, Ireland, Italy) And as I said it is a fan-boycotted album. So for an album that is available only in 3 european countries #54 is not bad.

Anyway E=MC2 and Greatest Hits falls to re-enter in the UK TOP 75 albums chart.

 

On the singles chart however, AIWFCIY jumps 104-59 while Hero climbs 100-67.

She never said anything about ''The Ballads''. Not even a word about the compilation. Everytime the discussion goes into this direction she always changes the topic or brings something about ''I Stay In Love'' or E=MC2. She clearly isn't happy with this compilation. Even during the radio interview she did in the UK the host started talking about ''The Ballads'' and she was like ''yeah but don't forget the new single ''I Stay In Love'' with the new video''.

No-Show for Mariah at Total Finale Live

Earlier tonight, MTV's Total Request Live bid its final "Bye Bye" to the airwaves with a star-studded extravaganza dubbed Total Finale Live. Mariah who was advertised and expected to be a part of the show did not show up for reasons unknown. Some fans speculate that Mariah may be under the weather as she sounded hoarse and sick at last Friday's Miami event.

"The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! - Countdown To Music's Biggest Night" will announce nominations in at least six categories, feature performances by past Grammy winners and nominees, and will set the stage for the 51st Annual Grammy Awards on February 8, 2009.

 

For the first time ever, nominations for the annual Grammy Awards will be announced live on primetime television in a special concert dubbed "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! - Countdown To Music's Biggest Night." This special event will begin the countdown to the 51st Grammy Awards and includes live performances by past Grammy winners, as well as a celebration of the grand opening of the Grammy Museum. Some performers include Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Foo Fighters, B.B. King, John Mayer, and Taylor Swift.

 

The one-hour concert, hosted by Grammy winner LL Cool J and Grammy nominee Taylor Swift will be staged at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, and broadcast live on Wednesday, December 3rd, from 9 - 10 pm ET/PT on CBS.

 

Tickets to the live event are available for purchase at www.ticketmaster.com. Proceeds will benefit the Grammy Museum.

OMG I just read that she just performed at Victoria Secret fashion show in Miami. She did a surprising full-lenght show in Miami yesterday as well. I'm confused where are all these appearances coming from.

 

If American Music Awards, Grammy Awards Nods Show and Victoria Secret performances of ''I Stay In Love'' can't help this song... I don't know what could.

 

The Victoria Secret Show will be broadcasted on Dec. 3. Wow 2 performances in 1 day.
