The ballads:

 

Ireland #20 (#8)

 

no more xfactor effect

 

The problem with the ballads is because is her third BEST OF

 

- #1's - 1998 - 14.000.000

- GH - 2001 - 4.000.000

- TB - 2008

 

 

Maybe the next GH it will happen in 2009/2010 by the Island era song

just like Celine, My Love being her 3rd compilation

 

All the Way... A Decade of Song around 18-21M copies worldwide

The Collector's Series Volume One around 3.5-4M copies worldwide

My Love: (Ultimate) Essential Collection

Yeah but the difference is that only 1 of Mariah's compilations contains new songs (#1's). I can accept Greatest Hits without any new songs but ''The Ballads'' is just f*cked up. And fans are not supporting it.

It doesn't metter if they are good or bad. The thing is that they are there and that helps these album to sell.

 

By the way in a Mariah board I read some people complaining that ''Merry Christmas'' is hard to find in music stores and that Celine's TAST is everywhere. A guy that works in a music store said that they received 10 copies from ''These Are Special Times'' and 1 copy from ''Merry Christmas''. But then he ordered 20 more copies from ''Merry Christimas'' cause he is a fan. :laugh: I hope it's not that way everywhere. :down:

It's the opposite here in India. TAST is sold out in almost every retail and online store (Music Yogi, one of India's biggest online music store has the 'Out of Stock' sign) but Merry Christmas is everywhere :giggle:

I'm not in that list either. I never bought more than 1 copy of a Mariah or Celine album.

Singer Mariah Carey proved to have a good heart, buying her great-aunt's house in Venezuela where the woman lived and rented the house for under $240 per month.

 

According to a local television program, the woman had a debt of more than $1,500 related to deferred income. The lady of 67 years got in contact with the artist who decided to help her through her son who lives in Chicago.

 

In addition to paying off the amount of debt, Carey also bought the modest, two bedroom home located in the neighborhood of San Miguel.

 

Last April Mariah Carey married the singer and actor Nick Cannon, in a private ceremony in the Bahamas.

But my experiences were the opposite. ive hardly seen the cd of MC's "Merry Christmas" [ive never seen MC's most popular albm "Music Box" either ...had to download it!!!]; but ive literally seen Celine's "These Are The Special Times" almost everywhere , it was easy to get a copy. im from the south and i had to go to bangalore's Planet M in search of Mariah's "Merry Christmas".

That is weird.

 

Rakesh, please check all the Planet M outlets. If not, please give me the address of the Planet M you visited. I know the officials and distributors for the chain and I'll get in touch with them. Also, if you don't find a certain product, you can place your order in the wishlist and they'll get it for you in a week. If not, you can contact the head of the store.

Besides, you can order and get all of Mariah's cds from online stores like Music Yogi, Indiaplaza and Indiatimes. If you buy from these stores, they are added towards the certifications.

Celine's a different case. Planet M is not getting the CD/DVD version of TAST anymore. They are back with the regular CD version only. :glare:

LOL. I just got the standard version and the Japanese edition (cos MTMH and TRIGO are some of my favs from the album) :P

I would like to be the first to say that I thought that Mariah was AMAZING on the American Music Awards! :clap: :wub: She sang "I Stay In Love" so beautifully!It made me cry!Her voice sounded great too! :clap: :wub: :D :flowers: She looked beautiful as always. :wub:

it was a partly lipped performance. she can never hit those money notes at the ending of the song! over my dead body! :sofunny:

 

but i think that was a great performance too. love the ensembles :lmao: and she looked confident and obviously an improvement from her X Factor performance of ISIL.
