I love the lyrics. But somehow it has no good melody.

 

And you think Breakdown and The Beautiful Ones are awful? :blink: :blink: :blink: :blink:

i never liked Breakdown either. it's too hideous. on the other hand, The Beautiful Ones is ok, but what happened to Mariah's voice there? her voice sounds so tired in there and the tendency? STRAINED vocals. i guess it's the final song she recorded for Butterfly. :innocent: and i agree she doesn't have to belt out every song she's singing, but in Butterfly, she whispers a lot.

 

about the cover, my cd has a different cover picture. mine has the back cover used as the front cover and vice versa. was that a limited release?

The cover was released in two editions. So you could choose which picture you wanted on the cover.

However, it was said that the "turn round" cover picture was limited.

Mariah to Appear on UK's The X Factor Nov. 8th

On tonight's results show of The X Factor, host Dermot O'Leary confirmed that Mariah will be on the show on Saturday, November 8th. "Next week the remaining acts will be singing again to stay in The X Factor what is Queen of the Divas Mariah Carey Night. All of the contestants are going to sing her songs and what's more Mariah will be here singing two of her songs."

 

The X Factor

Saturday, 8th November on ITV 1 from 7:20pm to 8:50pm

Special guest Mariah Carey sings live and then the eight remaining acts have the tough task of following in the American diva's footsteps by each performing one of her songs. Dermot O'Leary hosts proceedings and judges Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell, Dannii Minogue and Louis Walsh have their say, before the phonelines open for the public to decide which two acts will appear in the final showdown. The results can be seen at 9.35pm

 

The X Factor - The Result

Saturday, 8th November on ITV 1 from 9:35pm to 10:20pm

Mariah Carey sings again before the viewers' verdict is announced and the two acts with the fewest votes perform a song of their own choice in the final showdown, hoping to win a reprieve from the judges.

Mariah is the most amazing diva ever. Angelic voice, soul and star power. Her albums sell tons, she is always being played on the radio.

X Factor's cover of "Hero" tops the charts in the UK and Ireland.

X Factor's (the UK's equivalent to American Idol) cover of "Hero" has debuted at #1 on the UK Top 75 and Irish Top 50 singles chart.

 

In retrospect, Mariah Carey's (original) version of "Hero" peaked at #7 and #5 back in 1993 in both countries, respectively.

Of course it's good! I won't buy the album 'cause I have all the songs already.

But it's great that other people buy the album and get interested in Mariah (again).

And isn't it great that the album sells so well, while the fans are not buying it?!!

I will buy it if they physically release the Deluxe Edition 'cause it has some new remixes on it and some live video performances apparently, and for the cover! :wub:

It will be just the luxury Mimi will need after her busy week on X Factor. She will perform her new single "I Stay In Love" during a Mariah Carey tribute week where she will also mentor the contestants.

 

The finalists are at No. 1 with a cover of her song "Hero." Her X Factor debut on Saturday comes after Simon Cowell personally stepped in to request her. She'll also perform "Hero" with the remaining finalists and is a massive fan of the show.
