Celine's comeback to Las Vegas - March 2011

Chicago? why did Rene lie then and say she would be back in Vegas then?!!. They never lied to the fans before. Thats all im saying.... Ill wait and see what Rene and Celine say in the coming months....
Im thinking most people will not believe a random statement made on this tread from a fan who randomly says this. I assume this will only confuse people. I am one of the non- believers....... Sorry

I'm not sure people are thinking Rene lied. All Rene said is that they're in talks about her returning - and i personally have known that for months. Way before Rene mentioned it. And CP have mentioned they'd love to have her back, door always open to her etc. But nothing has been signed yet so plans can change - and more importantly minds can change ie: Celines. I just hope there's SOMETHING new - whether it be just an album - or the whole package, new show be it tour or Vegas, or even basing somewhere else. She has my complete support in whatever she decides to do. Can't wait for new announcements!!! :w00t:

o emm gee! i surely hope she'll continue her career after this taking chances tour...so i better save $ from now on to get tickets to flyyy to vegas and see her show...nothing will stand in my way and stop me from seeing celine ANYMORE!

I totally agree. I have to see Celine again, and hopefully fulfill my dream of meeting her. All of my Celiniac friends have met her and I have been a fan for 17 years and never got close. So I am going wherever celine goes to try and achieve my one dream. :wub:

Chicago would seem like an odd choice IMHO. Not that I have anything against it. I'll be happy to go see her anywhere again. Vegas would make more sense just because the venue is tailor made for her and she has a house still there.

The thing people have to realize is that no one really knows what will happen (except Celine and Rene). I'm pretty sure Celine will record and perform in the future, although I can't imagine her doing another world tour for awhile just because it's such a large undertaking. I could see her doing a smaller thing like LV or somewhere else where she doesn't have to travel all over the place. But I'm like everyone else...just GUESSING! :yes:

I'm sorry but I don't really believe the Chicago rumor to be true for a couple of reasons. First of all Rene already confirmed that Celine will be doing Vegas again in March of 2010, and secondly he just said in a recent interview that both him and her need to live in a "warm place" because of health reasons. Chicago is not warm all year round. I guess anything is possible but I highly doubt this to be true!

I am totally all for this! Surely we could get ahold of the colliseum once we get some final news on dates and stuff and maybe figure out a preorder of some sort. O boy, wouldnt that piss off all those fans out there who arent on the forum. Oh well, coulda, woulda, shoulda lol jk. What an incredible "welcome back from you break" would that be. BEST audience EVER! =)

Darren, you reckon we'll have an official announcement in December of 2009? That seems kinda early......but not really, considering tickets for "Taking Chances World Tour" went on Sale a year in advance.

I have a feeling we'll have an offical announcement in the first quarter of 2010.....February or March, but hey, December 09' would be great!

Deep Down I Have had a feeling that Celine knew that she might come back because there way too many songs that were way, way too popular and that never made it in the Show...Maybe waiting for a new show...

Q2: Move into house in Florida and CHILL OUT!
Q3: Get embryo implanted.
Q4: Release some sort of greatest hits album while she's pregnant.

2010
Q1: (Pregnant)
Q2: (Pregnant), start to plan second LV show
Q3: Have baby(!)
Q4: Spend time with baby + rest of family

2011
Q1: Plan new LV show @ the Colusseum (with Franco Dragone)
Q2: Start new LV show (6-7 nights a month?)
Q3: Continue with LV show, start to produce new album.
Q4: Continue with LV show, release new album

This way she will have plenty of time to chill out and recover her voice from 6 years (5 in LV + 1 Tour) of non-stop singing!! Her voice will in perfect condition for her return to LV and for a new album!

How many more greatest hits albums do we really need? I think a good hit on the radio, a song scaled way back like her french music to open up to a new audience. But I do think that the collectors series vol. 1, a decade of song, and My love (collections) are sufficient.

What can I say, it'd be the stupidest move ever if she goes back to Vegas. This will be like THE official end of her career. As if it wasn't already harmful enough the first time.
I'm sorry guys, but being in Vegas, spitting out albums without any promotion on HER PERSONAL part, which means that she has to go to every show there is to promote a new album , created the huge "success" she is right now. Meaning, she's a legend, but that's about it. And I think she's a bit too young for that.
Sorry, I'm officially selling every single Celine item I have and denouncing her to MIMI (oh, yes ) if she decides to become part of Cesar's furniture again...

I agree. I think it would be a huge mistake. How many other singers plant themselves? Especially in such a bad economy. besides travel there is high ticket costs AND lodging. I also agree that there needs to be better promotion and better sing choices to boot. Besides taking chances, her music has not been radio friendly (Um, hell goodbyes the saddest word? I almost died!)

Celine did Vegas the first time because Rene-Charles was still young and she didn't want to have to worry about him. When she has another child i'm all for Vegas if it means she can a more relaxed family environment. As long as she's happy i'm happy

As much as some of you don't like the Vegas idea, let's remember something: If Celine get's pregnant, she will want to settle down somewhere and give that new baby the same kind of life that RC got when he was born. I know a lot of you want her to go back on tour, but with a baby, it's just not realistic. I don't think some of you realize how tiring a world tour is. Having to live in hotel rooms, not sleeping in the same bed every night, not being able to hang your bathrobe and leave it there (Great! I'm sounding like Celine in '03!) I think right now in Celine's career, she's made it to where she want's to be. Let's just be happy for her!!! It's going to be fun no matter what Celine does, so let's sit back and just enjoy the ride!

I am looking forward to whatever she may day and if A New Day comes back I am looking forward to that. I wasn't able to go before. I just really want to see her perform live again. I have only seen her twice in my life perform live. So, this would be awesome in my opinion.

I've sort of warmed up to the idea of Vegas more, as long as she keeps active and doesn't fade out of the industry like the first time around. It gives her a little stability and it is RC's hometown. But, my hang to God, if she still does the same old hits in the same old "fashion" with little setlist change, I will become a full-time lamb.

You know what guys I know that she knows that Vegas was very successful...and her fans followed her on her tour...she knows that we will be with her for as long as it is meant to me...and then she would be quite content to settle down at home and relax...So I think it will give fans the opportunity to be close to her again as well as her team members and then if her career ends she will be satisified....Don't get me wrong I would have loved to see more promotion of the new album and tour ect... but she is a family girl now and most importantly a mother...that is where her heart truly belongs...she is now letting her career take its natural course...

I completely agree. Launching her career to new heights is no longer her #1 goal. I'm sure her family will be, no matter what she decides to do in the upcoming years, and especially if she has another kid. I think she also knows that we will follow her wherever she goes and whatever she does. Vegas was sold out almost constantly, Taking Chances was a huge hit. Whether she goes back to Vegas or back on tour, lordy knows us crazy die-hard fans will be right there with her :msn-wink: for that reason, I also definitely agree with those of you that are sick of her singing only the English hits... she has been singing them for how many years now? And I think she has so many songs with so much potential (like, all of them, ahaha). Like Refuse to Dance? PERFECT A New Day... song IMHO. And especially if she settles back down in Vegas, I would absolutely LOVELOVELOVE for her to sing more French hits!!! Since she knows that us diehard fans will be the ones following her around, I feel like she should do a show she knows we will enjoy that doesn't just have to be limited to smash-hits, covers, and MHWGO.

but... in the end, as all of you have said, I will be happy no matter what she does! ^_^
