do a concert or two in the summer months in places like New York, Toronto, Chicago Montreal.....then take more off......another few weeks of vegas....etc.

and in Paris

Lets's not forget London and Dublin

and bejing and melbourn and cape town and berlin and... and.... see Céline just do a world tour again, but then stay more central somewhere for more shows :laugh: :whistling:

And JM said that she was an incredible mom!!!!! That is so true. Finally, so good news about Celine. I don't know if this is old or not but I've never read it until now. Thank you for posting it.

Well, i took it to mean that Celine doesn't want to drag RC around the world every year. She wants him to know his home - and be there more than he's away from it. I don't blame her either.

and that's true :wink: It's a torure for a child to travel all the time around the world...Without going to school,friends etc.He misses the procedure to become more socialized and deal with people at same age with him

so i wonder if this will actually happen with the way the economy is in vegas right now... from what i've heard from friends who have been there recently, the entire city is almost a ghost town and vegas is not seeing nearly as many visitors as they are used to this time of year. America (and the world) is hurting.. so people arent travelling.. i wonder if Celine coming back to an empty city is a good idea.. or maybe she would draw in people and help turn around the vegas economy..

The credit crunch is obviously having a global effect on everything at present, as most of us know, but just wait till next year, I think the wheels will start turning again on that front in early/mid 2010, fingers crossed.

But when Celine returns to Vegas in the fall of next year.... flight, hotel, club, shopping, and show figures will go through the roof again!!!

Because when it involves Celine, us diehard fans always find a way, even if it involves debt, as lets face it shes well worth it, lol.

Its common knowledge that Caesars as well as the city of Las Vegas benefited greatly from her residency from 2003/2007.

A new day... was such a huge success partly due to a huge amount of the members of this board, who travelled to see the show, sometimes numerous times, or who bought the merchandise etc, and I know we can make the new show as successful, so Celine, Rene and partners have nothing to fear!!!

I think going back to Vegas is a great idea if she has another child. I think it's the best thing for a young child to have a home and be stable. If she doesn't have a child, I would prefer she does something new. Vegas has been done, there's a million other things she could do and going back there is artistically...well, not so much a step back but certainly not a step forward. It comes across to me as something that worked well for her, she enjoyed her life and it's famillar and if she wants that again then who can blame her! But from a fan perspective I would much prefer her to spread her wings and experience all the things she hasn't done yet, because there are things out there she might love even more than a Vegas show but if you do the same thing over and over then you'll never find out. I will always respect Celine but I don't always have to like her decisions.

i agree.. there are too many artists who are talented and have become has beens who just hide from the spotlight.. it's like Jay Leno said in an interview, "I don't like lazy people and artists who just come out for a benefit concert every labor day". She isn't lazy and works for what she has. She isn't one of the richest women in the world because she is lucky.. If she has another child.. and even if she doesnt Vegas would still be a great opportunity. This is RC's home and it provides a steady place for her to be every day/night. There is nothing cheesy about Las Vegas and i believe that if Celine had never done vegas from 2003-2007 then the highlight of her career would've been in the 90's and she would have become a has been. Celine going to vegas revolutionized the entertainment industry and it was brilliant.. we all know this.. and if it weren't for her Vegas run i dont think her last world tour would've been so successful. I say give her the well deserved break she deserves right now.. work on having another child and her marriage and being a mother and then when she is well rested, viva las vegas baby! She loves to perform.. she loves her fans... and i believe Celine loved doing Vegas. Yeah it might've gotten repetive doing shows 5 nights a week for 7 years.. but she still loves performing for her fans. If it werent for us and millions of others she wouldn't be who she is today. So there doesnt need to be any protests.. because if we all love her then everyone will respect what she does regardless and support whatever she decides.. vegas.. no vegas lets all be happy and supportive

Totally agreee with you. :yes:

LV wouldn't get as repetitive as last time cos she wouldn't be doing as many shows for as many years. So it may only be for 1 year. Don't you think that the TC probably got a bit repetitive for her near the end ?? There weren't many shows that were that different, a few french songs thrown in. Overall the show didn't change much. So she was doing mostly the same thing for a year. At least with this she'll be in one town, living in her own home. I'm all for Vegas as longs as the show is different from AND and Celine doesn't push herself/commit herself to such a massive deal this time.

Don't forget nothing has been announced - no deal signed etc. It still may not happen. Yeah there are plans to return but plans change. I for one will welcome any sort of return, as i will be absolutely devastated if and when she retires from singing completely. :cry: I'll support her in whatever she chooses to do.

I totally agree with Thomas! Awesome when they have a second baby, a step back if they don't have a second baby. Been there, done that. Plus the economic crisis is also not something to just wave away. It might not be over in 2010 and a 'normal' tourist in Las Vegas won't pay 250 dollars to see a show. And Céline can't sell out shows with fans only every night

I would rather see her doing something new;

- the callas movie she was so excited about, but died a quiet death

- spend more then 2 weeks on an album; write it, produce it, promote it properly!

- she can do a few shows; like 5 in Paris, London, New York, LA, Australia. She doesn't have to do 170 in 80 countries again! :doh:

- just relax!! She doesn't have to work every day! Just every now and then, and take the time to do the work; not record 2 video clips on 1 day :whistling:

and not to think of:

- vegas throat again

- bad promotion (well even worse promotion )

- a very 'american' show

- 90% of the same setlist

- no accessability at all
