celínico_sin_remedio Posted March 26, 2009 at 07:42 PM Posted March 26, 2009 at 07:42 PM I wonder what kind of show will they do...more of the same or a heart stopping one???? I mean after THAT show, what's left to do??? the next thing to do would make the seats of the theather fly over the Colusseum while Celine is singing LOL Falling Into the Colosseum, I'm Falling Into the Colosseum... Hey, if Céline sings FIY that would make sense and now THAT would be a high experience, "una experiencia de altos vuelos"... Thomas Posted March 28, 2009 at 07:12 PM Posted March 28, 2009 at 07:12 PM The "Celine" bits from the Colosseum anniversary press conference: For the first time, top executives at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace have directly addressed recent Vegas DeLuxe stories about the possible return of Celine Dion to the showroom -- and a possible Vegas location for King of Pop Michael Jackson’s concerts! Caesars Palace President Gary Selesner told me: “I saw Celine on her tour while we were both in Shanghai. She told me she misses life -- and performing in Vegas as compared to life on a long world tour. She told me she looks forward to someday resuming that lifestyle of living and performing in Las Vegas. The door is always open for her return at Caesars Palace.” Yesterday, Mr. Selesner hosted a small reception to celebrate the sixth anniversary of The Colosseum theater. Some 93 employees are still there since opening day, and they shared in a special cake to mark the occasion. Gary added: “Celine told me how much she missed Caesars and Las Vegas. She said that although the world tour would be one of her career highlights, she would never forget anything about her five years here. She said she never realized how good she had it living here and driving 30 minutes right into her dressing room and living a normal family life out at Lake Las Vegas. She wants to resume that sometime.” In fact, Celine’s husband and manager, Rene Angelil, will be back here soon because he wants to defend his $2 million poker championship win from a year ago when he bought into a tournament for $100,000 and wound up the winner! I am told that continuing conversations about Celine’s return will continue at that time. Robin Leach: We know that Celine wants to come back; she’s said it herself. There’s no disputing that. John Meglen, Caesars Palace: The door is always open to Celine. They still own a house here, I think they live here a lot of the time, but you realize that she worked five straight years here. We ended Dec. 15 and her tour started Feb. 14, so if anyone that I know of deserves a break from working right now, it’s her. Would we love to have Celine back? Absolutely! RL: They’ve said it to you; you’ve said it to them? JM: Many times. I would love it to happen! I think that Celine and Rene would love to see it happen again, too. RL: Then there is nothing standing in the way, is there? JM: Not really. RL: Maybe just a little baby. JM: You know she’s an incredible mom. I think she should have another kid.Full article here.

Link to the info (Spanish)http://www2.esmas.com/entretenimiento/prog...-concurso-baile And is that a re-run of the first season of the show, or the new season from here in the states? It's kinda always been the prize... with Mia Michaels participating in the show, a few of the folks were sent through to A New Day... Didn't one of the winners decline that part of the grand prize, and just took the money/other stuff? I remember hearing that in the news... And yes, I saw Barnev's Facebook status update... eeeeekkk!!! LOL! I'm not sure how I feel about another Vegas show. It will for sure label Celine as "Vegas Queen" or something like that. It's nice that she went on tour and the world was accepting to her... maybe if they stick with the minimal shows per year, it will still be fresh and let her get outta Vegas and do other stuff.
Kyle_Jared Posted March 31, 2009 at 09:27 PM Posted March 31, 2009 at 09:27 PM (edited) Doing a limited number of shows is the best idea. Look at Elton John and his "Red Piano" show. Nobody calls him "Mr.Las Vegas" because he's not pigeonholed to JUST vegas....all the while he was in Vegas he'd do a couple months stint and then do shows elsewhere. I think I read that was Renes requirement for Vegas again: Less shows than before. Which is a brillant idea. I think for Celine it would be great if she did somthing like 4 weeks of shows and than have a month off......do a concert or two in the summer months in places like New York, Toronto, Chicago Montreal.....then take more off......another few weeks of vegas....etc. Edited March 31, 2009 at 09:29 PM by Kyle_Jared

I would so sooo love to meet you guys and be at Celine's show at the same time.. I was thinking the same thing but it's impossible to meet her in Vegas unless you have a meet & greet. She goes immediately from her car into the Colosseum and right on stage. She doesn't even walk off the stage and barely had interaction with anyone in the audience because usually it's a bunch of people who are going to see her since she's the hottest ticket on the strip. The entire forum obviously had a better chance when she was on tour. The good thing about Vegas is that for those of us who want to meet her, we will now actually have the time to prepare and could spare ourselves the trip if they deny us a meet & greet.
