I haven't listened to ANDHC album in Dolby Atmos yet, but I wonder how it compares to the SACD version.

LTAL album is now in Dolby Atmos on Apple Music. My stand out songs are Tell Him and LTAL. 😍

 

 

Hey I am curious about this 'Dolby Atmos sound' thing, to get the albums/songs with this 'Dolby Atmos sound', do the albums/songs have to be RE-PURCHASED in order to have it?

 

If that is the case, then sorry but it will be a huge HARD-PASS for me... As much as I love Celine & her music, I just CAN NOT AFFORD to re-purchase songs that I have ALREADY BOUGHT & OWN, I have kids to take care of & constant bills & a mortgage to pay for... So if I do have to re-buy Celines music for this new 'Dolby Atmos sound', then I guess I will just stick with the 'Standard sound' lol... I still love Celines music, but I just do not have money to throw around, I am not rich lol...

You need a subscription to Apple Music. If you don't have it, you probably get one month free to sign up and try it. You can cancel anytime. So you don't have to pay anything.

 

And as much as I love the Dolby Atmos versions of her albums, I like the regular versions more. At least I have for all the other albums. But its nice with a different flavor of the same songs.

The echos in aun existe amor are so beautiful!! Gosh, that song in dolby atmos and andhc ballad version are an experience!!!

It's a little different. Each songs feels more cohesive, tonally, and there are some rich elements that aren't on the SACD version, at least listening to it via youtube. But as with the SACD, they are full and really shine on the songs with powerful orchestras, strong bass, and sharp treble.

No. Only on Apple Music.

I’m not sure if you will have the same dolby atmos experience if you listen to the tracks from youtube, because it probably won’t deliver sound in the real atmos way. But you might hear the differences though.

Dolby Atmos is a surround experience... and youtube is just stereo audio... it will miss a lot of details...

unless the person who uploads can make some decent conversion from 5.1 to stereo with audio softwares...

Her voice is so much forward in dobly atmos, ANDHC (album version), RIFOY are so great with less background vocals. It's amazing

I finished listening to the Dolby Atmos version of A New Day Has Come and compared it to the SACD version, and while Dolby Atmos is good, the SACD is far superior. Both are 5.1 surround, but the SACD utilizes all channels properly. Dolby Atmos unfortunately doesn't, and the mixing is worse on Dolby Atmos.

 

Another thing thing I noticed is that the Dolby Atmos version of the album sort of change the dynamic of the songs to make it more apparent that it's 5.1 sound. It's almost as if they needed to add "more" in order to make enough of a change. For instance, they add drums in places where there's never been drums before. Comparatively, the SACD enhances whats already there instead of changing it and adding instruments that weren't already there. The SACD sounds cleaner somehow, like it's just better produced.

 

It's still very interesting to see how they approached the songs differently, and some of it might be preferences, but I couldn't find one song I like better on Dolby Atmos when compared to the SACD. It's still great to have both versions, and it's a nice different flavor of the same album.

It’s funny because I think ANDHC is the only album that didn’t benefit overall from a Dolby Atmos mix- the others did but I agree that ANDHC sounds better in the SACD mix

Was “Super Love” included in the Dolby Atmos mixing?

It's funny because I think ANDHC is the only album that didn't benefit overall from a Dolby Atmos mix- the others did but I agree that ANDHC sounds better in the SACD mix

 

I agree. I wish we had more SACD albums (aside from ATW and FIY) to compare with. However, I am very happy we finally have several more albums in 5.1 audio with Dolby Atmos.

 

Was "Super Love" included in the Dolby Atmos mixing?

 

Yes. It sounds very different too. It's like they removed the key background instruments of the song. They did that with a lot of the songs actually. While I think it's very interesting to listen to the songs that way, very few benefited from that I think.

Goodbye's (The Saddedt Word) is beatiful... There's a piano melody more strong, and we can hear Shania's voice very clear...

I agree that the SACD version is more well done...

But nothing is better than the SACD version of the All The Way... I don't think there'll be a Dolby Atmos or 360 RA version of that album, but thank God we have that SACD (including I'm Your Angel !!!)

Yes. But it's been a while since I've listened to it, so I can't tell you off the top of my head what it is. The whole All The Way SACD album is different from the standard versions of the songs.

I don't know if this article was posted before, but it's very interesting. Although it totally neglects Céline's French career, it does explain why her album sales never reached the height of the 90's.

Yeah that’s the first song I’d erase from any of Celine’s albums. And there were so many great recorded songs that could’ve replaced it.

“I’m your Angel” will always be a great song no matter what. But Celine basically erasing its existence on her platforms( for good reason) does hurt her sales and numbers… let’s not forget chart wise, IYA is one of Celine’s biggest hits… it made #1 on the charts in many countries including the US.

 

I can separate the art from the artist in this case and still love the song.
