Watching the emotional clip performance the day her father died was heart wrenching..... apologizing for the less than stellar performance that evening was classic Céline

Did anyone notice instead of the usually Oprah logo, it had "Oprah and Celine" in Celine's script-loved it

 

The LIVE performances came from the heart and lived up to my expectations. It's a shame the TC video wasn't shown although during the break, a plug and a clip from her TC video was shown confirming her Philadelphia show in September,2008

 

The clip where her dad died is on my DVD of the new album (short but very sad). Cant to download it tonight

there were many times I nearly cried as well as my sister and my mother. Actually, at one point, I slooked over at my mother and she had ttears in her eyes during the parts when Céline was talking about the death of her father, Adhémar Dion and the girl Sarah talking about losing her own father and the song she requested was "Because You Loved Me"

And yes, Céline apologizing for her performance was classic Céline.

Any time Celine is on Oprah for a special, my mother and I watch it together.

Ok, I've just finished watching the show. Thanks to all involved in making it available for download.

 

Overall, it was difficult to believe that Celine was appearing solely to promote her new album as frankly she said barely a word about it. There were a few promos for it here and there but it would've been nice to have a bit of conversation about the album, it's contents. who she worked with etc but never mind.

 

The show was very emotional with Celine making some wishes come true for some fans and Oprah pulling off surprises like only she can. The footage of Oprah's road trip was priceless.

 

The segment surrounding the death of Celine's father was about as emotional as it could possibly get. Celine was so brave to perform the night of her fathers death and was able to talk about it in a way which really made you feel for her. This was very much the real Celine talking, not the showbiz machine and rehearsed answers we sometimes see, and it showed. How it must've been to be in the audience in Vegas that night. We only saw a very brief clip of Celine performing "What A Wonderful World" from that night and she was breaking down as she sang the song, very very emotional. Brave girl.

 

As for the live performances from the show, well it was a bit of a mixed bag to be honest. "Taking Chances" and "Alone" were in my opinion superb, however she really does need to start moving when she sings these songs. I expect to see her dancing all over the stage at the tour. The other performances (ANDHC, IDAN, BYLM & MHWGO) were great for what they were but strangley I feel Celine sounded better, and took more risks, on her newer material than she did on her older stuff. She backed out of every single *high* note on the older songs but belted them out on the new ones. Strange.

 

Overall though, Celine and Oprah on top form, Celine sound great, looked great but as a promo for the new album? It could've been better.

I LOVED it!! Celine looked so pretty, love her hair color now!! I was so happy she sang all her songs LIVE!! Wow! I just watched the show you were on at 1 am this morning! The show was great and you definitely looked like you were in shock and disbelief when they showed you that Celine video telling you that you would be meeting her in Chicago. Congratulations on getting to go to the show and meet Celine and have fun in Las Vegas at the last show!

I have high speed too but the speed is so slow... I was downloading the 2nd part and it just stoped right after they showed the red head's video. So i didn't get to see what happens after including IDAN. Overall, it takes me hours (2-3) to download a single clip and that is with HIGH SPEED DSL!!!
