actually i dont want this concert in dvd the worst crowd ever even in pctmc when she gave them the mic to sing the last part as she uswaly do in her show they werent singing with her like amesterdam or even france

Tue-moi is absolutely fantastic. So epic, so raw. What a wonderful surprise, I didn'T expect it to sound so good.

 

And she sings LIVE LIVE LIVE LIVE LIVE

My God, DEGENERATION sounds absolutely HYSTERICAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

She sings it with her special low timbre I so love. Simply amazing.

Her improvisations at the end of Promesse Casse prve that she can sing as high as in 1996 when she sang those Call The Man impros. It's amazing, simply amazing, she just needs the right material and she's herself again. She gooes like OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO o oo o o o o o o ooooooooooooooooo uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

 

 

And SNRQ is the best live interpretation EVER. So pure. and for the FIRST time ever WITHOUT vocoders! OMG she sounds so natural in the refrain like never before.

Her duet with JP Ferland is simply jaw-dropping. Everyone in the audience is crying. What a moment to cherish. He loves her she loves him. I want an album with Ferland's lyrics.

 

It's one of the best live duets she has ever done.

i'm so moved watching all of the performances that its overwhelming to me

Her voice on lady M. sounded really weird, but I guess it was on purpose lol.

 

I really loved the end song with Ginette!! That really blew me away. The duet with JPF and 'Tue Moi' were amazing as well! And that Paul M comment is bullsh*t, if you listen carefully you can hear them singing along, the crowd wetn nuts like.. all the time!!

 

I really hope they'll release this on DVD!!!!

the duets were nice, i mean, the duet partners didn't blow me away - i guess it's more a local thing, they're all local artists - Ginette Reno reminds me of Ethal Merman (the belting, the gestures). celine sang good, but the songs, not my thing. that's all.

(exept the one with Zachary Richard. didn't understand a word due to YT quality. but that was funky )

she's really at her best doing her own songs: "pour que tu m'aimes encore", "s'il suffisait d'aimer", "destin." they sounded really beautiful with live orchestra. nice way to rediscover the old gems.

At the end of Pour que tu M'aimes encore, the crowd sang, but the music was so loud, that's why we barely hear them!

Oh please, she was so perfect - DO NOT JUDGE her voice from the youtube clips. She sounds absolutely marvellous. I just burned a DVD from it and her voice is on point even though she has her usual nasal spots it only proves she sings 100% live all the time.

 

Y'all should rejoice. It's her first live concert since 1992! Proves she can sound amazing throughout the full set if only they take their playback technicians and vocoder engineers away from her.

There was a transmission here in Mozambique.

 

For me it is the concert of the year. No matter the French tour DVD this concert is to be defintely seen cuzz it's REALLY ROCKING. True Céline experience.

And I agree... From what I have seen, the show was amazing. This was an unspoilt, unadorned Celine and it was breathtaking. Celine with an orchestra and a microphone. It's all we need. I loved it!

Tonybower, I meant the impeccable endings she used to do when singing Call The Man live on her FIY tour back in 1996 when she went the scale up and down. She did this on Promesse Casse as well here as well! With such an ease and such a joy. She let the others perform along side without any pretence at all, she felt right there at home, on stage.
