Aww, Céline said the album is very close to her heart and she is in a "hurry" to release it, especially to/for the people of Quebec..

 

Also now there are 4 writers from Quebec (and 8 from Franse), as opposed to the 3 announced earlier.

 

I really hope we'll get to hear/see the live performance with Marc soon..

celine will probably record her english album on her summer break between lunch to dinner , maybe between one glass of wine to the other - u know what i know the songs will sound great cause it's celine but again the songs wont be as personal and meaningful as they could be had celine took more time to work on it

Sept chansons D'Elles

 

Céline Dion a profité de ses vacances au Québec pour enregistrer sept des douze chansons qui composeront son prochain album en français, au Studio Piccolo les 20 et 21 décembre, endroit que la chanteuse affectionne particulièrement pour la qualité du son.

 

«Ça s'est très bien passé. Les Québécois m'ont porté chance. Cet album-là me tient beaucoup à coeur et j'ai hâte de leur présenter,» a-t-il affirmé.

 

René Angélil nous confirme que cet album sortira plus tôt que prévu, soit le 22 mai, et qu'il se nommera D'Elles, pour faire un clin d'oeil à l'album D'Eux, un des grands succès de Céline et Jean-Jacques Goldman.

 

D'Elles regroupe des textes d'écrivaines francophones, dont quatre Québécoises. Jean-Jacques Goldman en supervise la réalisation.

I'm so excited it will be a great album, they aren't referring to D'eux with the title without reason. I hope it will be as good. I also think it's good she didn't record the songs in LV but in Montréal. She's always sounded better on the albums she recorded elsewhere. You'll see now that her show is (almost) over she'll come back to the world with something artistic, beautiful new music, amazing live concerts etc.

How would 12 songs be a standard today and how does that refer to her French albums that have been released throughout the last two decades and actually had only about 12 songs? It's not a standard. I may argue it's a QUALITY standard cuzz arguably the best (English and French and Dutch and Polish and German and Japanese and Swahili and Finnish and Serbo-Croatian and Russian and Portuguese and Spanish and Mandarin and Italian and Czech and Norwegian and Swedish and Danish and Austrian and Korean and Thai and Malaysian and Tagalog) albums have less than 16 tracks on it. The best albums in history of music have all less than 12 songs actually. Besides we are talking here about her French albums that have the absolute tradition of consisting of quality not soullessness.

hmmmm....i hate to say it but im in a bit of agreement with shai. 7 songs in two days? even with rehearsals, singing it over and over again in the studio....giving time for improvs and different interpretations.....that doesnt happen when you record 3/4 songs per day.

 

also, she was just sick. unless she wasn't really sick and they just said that to give her voice a rest before she went into the studio... just a thought.

She went to check her voice in NYC early this month. I think the doctor must told her she's fine. Also I guess she's fully recorvered before this recording. I really don't think record 7 or more songs in one day is a issue to the Queen of Vocals. For the emotion part. She had prepared this album for more than one year. So she must understand the songs very well.

I guess you're right. Its not that I don't think she's capable, but I think interesting and different things happen when you have time in the studio. I'm sure it will be amazing but I just hate how everything is always so rushed.

It feels really unbelievable to see that a new French album is in the making. The waiting time is getting worse the more we get to know about it. I'm not a fan of the title yet but it maybe just needs some time. Nevertheless I'm really happy to see that Céline puts so much heart and soul into this album

so i can understand her french lyrics, i like her french albums and her english albums A LOT but in a different way.

 

French albums sometimes are TOO much "quality" for me...(u know sloooooow, folk whatever)

but i love SISDA and her rest french albums ...(1F&4T is her worst to date i think...poor vocals and some really weak tracks on that album, but a few great tracks too!)

 

AND WTF IS WRONG WITH VENERUSO!!!! HE"S GREAT!!!!!

I don't understand why commercial can't be quality too or the other way!

(recording with the speed of light is SO negative...the queen of vocals won't be the queen of vocals if she records in that speed, without preparing her voice or being sick/tired and that would be SAAAD cause her new french material sounds promising...)

This is such great new!! I can't wait and the fact J.J Goldman producing the whole thing, gives me gostbumbs alreary I like his way of writing and producing and as said earlier I hope that Lynda Lemay isone of the writers indeed.

 

I also think Sony is again as they did with ONCP and 1F4T releasing several "limited editions" on this album too.

 

O and I don't think Celine is coming to France to promote the album, why if you look at her schedule you can see she isn't off drung the release date only before or after (in july) but we never know ofcourse! We just have to wait.. I wonder if there will be single releases for this album!

Please don't judge Celine...1f&4t is not her worst french album to date at all!

You cannot say that she wouldn't be who she is in French if she hadn't recorded in English...Like come on now, her French and English careers do not cross the same paths at all.She will always sound much better in French than in English because she is a native speaker.Her English is very good, with heart-felt songs...but it is more commercial than her French work.

Celine Dion used her holidays in Quebec to arrange 7 of the 12 songs for her french album at Studio Piccolo on 20 and 21 of december

Rene confirms to us that this album will be released sooner than predicted,wishes the 22th of May and that it 'll be named "D'elles" to compare it to "D'eux" one of Celine's and Jean jacques's great successes

 

D'elles consists of lyrics by francophones writers, 4 from Quebec.

I don't think that she recorded 7 songs in two days... unless it's the kind of song like "nature boy" ou "tu nages"... so not really demanding!

 

Moreover René said this album was going to be recorded in Las Vegas...

 

Maybe they are only demo... The newspaper said she recorded them without saying details...maybe she recorded only background vocals or she only (re)sang some parts of these songs...

well when you are french and you make a career in english that makes you VERY successful and raises your "value" and opens doors for you...like making D'eux..that kind of doors

 

1F&4types is not bad..its just worse than D'eux SISDA and Des mots qui sonnent imo
