so what seb? so team-celine members can threat them and tell them they wont renew their membership , it's the same thing .

our goal is that they'll LISTEN and do something about it and without a real threat with the signs of MANY team-celine members it wont work.

 

and seb , the fact that they never gave us anything is just reinforcing everything i said - i know it's not something new which is why we should send them this petition...we had to do it a long time ago .

The thing is that if they gave us the full song, nothing we'll stop us from spreading it around, or that's exactly what every artist is trying to prevent: illegal distribution of their songs. I'm not defending TC, they should give something more than they do, but I understand why they don't share a song before its release. And if you just buy one TC ticket for AND you get that 25$ back... It's worth it for me.

this is a rare case where we DO have the power because we r the ones who give them the money

we can make it very clear - either u'll change your ways or many members will cancel their membership. we should do it now cause there r many new projects on the way and maybe we'll change something .

It won't work. Cause according to some other topics about TC. There're many(more than enough for them to earn money) members feel TC is excellent, and have nothing to complain about it. And some even think only the title of "TeamCeline Member" itself worth more than $25/year. So I think we know why TC is like now. Cause they can get money from those fans anyway, so why they need to work hard or give more?

it wont cost us a thing to give it a try...but like on so many other issues celine's fans r just giving up before they even tried

i have to say that i'm not very optimistic about the promotion of her new english album and single too and i have to mention the name mariah sorry...but her fans proved time after time that they can be so united and make their idol come back to the no 1 position .

her big comeback is something only her "lambs" r responsible for , make no mistake about it...instead of complainning and not do a thing about it they started to work really hard , something celine fans will never do...

 

i can already see what would happen here around october - we'll complain about the lack of promotion ...we'll say that it's such a waste cause the first single was so amazing and the album is brilliant but sony as usuall r not doing a thing...

and what about us? well , most of the fans here would just claim that we cant do anything cause we have no power and no chance to change a thing .

with this kind of attitude they r right - we do not stand a chance

I dont blame TC for this. They post what they're given. If management, or whomever, doesnt give them the song then there's nothing they can do about it. And there might be legal reasons why they cant post it yet or maybe they arent doing it to avoid us from ripping the file and sending it around on the net.

 

Plus we got this song, what, Friday? TC doesn't work on the weekend so theres no chance they'd have anything up before Monday.

Well maybe they only get what they are given but the selling point of joining is to get all these 'exclusives'. The song went to radio a while back though so what's the excuse? If we do all complain and if it isn't TC's fault they may pass our complaints on to those in the know.

 

On a side not--I've just tried to log into my TC account and the website appears to be down. Do you think an 'exclusive' is on the way????

well i do blame TC for this, in protest i let my membership run out yesterday (we'll see how long it takes before i break out into a cold sweat) but its simply not on that there isnt even a clip available

The people who give TC material and those who give radio stations new songs are not the same (I dont think). So just because it was sent to radio stations a week ahead of time, it doesnt mean TC has it in their hands to post on the web.

 

Listen, I have my issues with TC as well, but something like this I don't think is their fault or really in their control. I just do hope that when they preview it, they do the full song and not a 30 clip.

I also think that the fans can be more united and make more of a sound. This forum has more Celine fans than any other so we're bound to have an impact like Mariahs did. But what can we do? Send another email saying we're pissed off? Celine's v busy with new projects so it could come off as us being ungrateful

Not at all. I think the best way to go about it is to give ideas, suggestions and request. And we can express our frustration but still be professional about it and not 'attack' them.

there r ways to be diplomatic about it but they have to know that people r considering not to renew their membership otherwise why would they even care?

 

and stevo - this has nothing to do with celine herself...it has everything to do with the people running her career and the connection with her fans .

celine cares about us much more than her record label or her official site but she is just not an internet freak and other people r taking care of it...she doesnt even know what's going on...

Totally agree with you...the rush and the adrenaline and everyone talking about the new song has suddenly worn out to the endless fight of fans vs. TC I prefered the other way around when just a little clip had everyone screaming their guts out on how much we like to have new material...and awesome material ...just saying CELINE's BACK!!!!

I've said it many times before, I would expect more from an official fanclub but I am still a member because of the priority seating for A New Day...

 

What I am missing most in the fanclub is Céline's personal input and the lack of visibility and direct contact with the people of team celine. The fanclub misses the input of fans and the interaction with Céline and management.

 

There is so much stuff they can give us, like the rehearsal video for RDMH that was just wonderful! Why can't they give us more, they have so much rare material. Why just store it?!

 

About the soundclips:

On the other hand there are embargo's for a reason, that the illegal stuff keeps popping up is not their fault and in a way we spoil it for ourselves. How's Céline supposed to sell singles (download or commercial) if it's out there for free WEEKS before it has been even premiered on the radio? We will get the official TC pre-hearing whe it's time for them to put it out there.

I have just noticed what you guys were discussing, and I thought it would be appropriate to discuss something with you. My brother works for a new company in the UK called Fanclubz, where they create fanclubs for celebrities, and one of the celebrities they are going to feature is Celine. The website based company starts at the beginning of March apparently.

 

Apparently you click on their website, click on the celebrity you're interested in and then see what the fanclub has to offer. It is unofficial, but what you get is so much better than teamceline. I'll make a post about this in the comming weeks so you guys can see for yourself, but it sounds interesting to me. My brother told me that among the gifts when you sign up are a bottle of celine perfume or body lotion, pictures, stationery sets etc, and also a secret password to an online section of the website where you can see exclusive neverbefore seen things, of which I have no idea what he means (havn't spoke to him for ages).

 

If any of you guys are interested in hearing more about this, PM me, or else I'll post a new topic about this in the next couple of weeks. Sounds good though doesn't it.

 

BTW other celebrities that are being featured are (I think) The Killers, Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Madonna, Elton John and loads of others.

 

Keep an eye out for this, sounds exciting.

 

Ohh and I think the yearly membership is £18, or you can pay it off monthly if I can remember. It works out to be about $30 USD I think.

I know that TC needs a masive overhall when it comes to meeting the demands of the fans. I think it is a good idea to for us to promote whatever Celine has for us our selves. And if Celine was a little bit more tech savi and not so buisy all the time we would hear more from her on the TC website.

It's only slow if you pick standard shipping though. If you pick Airmail or Courier the items are usually with you within about a week depending on where you live.

I think their shipping charges are very expensive. Having said that, the last two orders I placed were received within 5 days of shipping, and I didn't pay for a faster service

Acutally I find it's surprisingly fast to me. It only took 1 week to get my order ship to China by standard shipping. And 2 weeks to get my TC membership card. But I agree the shipping cost is expensive.

I think celinedion.com is doing their best..and lately they've been actully really good posting news and exclusives. The same thing with TeamCeline.

 

there's one thing that is annoying...when people send me tons of emails begging for me to vote them as a Fan of the Month. I just delete those posts..I usually vote for someone I know.

I think Celine Dion.com should have a new layout, new songs especially background music, new backgrounds for when you sign in. Also i think there should be rare song and videos that we haven't seen i also think there should be more features and the boutique should also have a different layout as well. more new news would be great as well, new pics as well from the show as well.
