Yes, or something from "A New Day...", perhaps a [sneak] preview to the new DVD, or [a DVD with] songs which she has performed earlier in the show, but aren't in the setlist anymore.. That would be a fantastic renewal gift!

I really love Celine and i think she should have a Tv program for example on Thrsdays every week or after 2007 when A New Day... show will be finished she can come to Asia or Europe or Dubai to play her concerts i do know many people like me will be happy to meet celine. and it's my dream to see her...and i think she is an angel...

This months TC calendar is the same exact TC calendar that was offered to members 8 months ago in December of 05.

 

We're paying $25 for this membership and a lot of the 'exclusives' arent exclusive at all. I'd hope we could at least get a new calendar or something. Its bad enough when we get 6 calendars from the same shoot, but to use the exact same picture that was used less then a year ago. . .:/

 

Maybe you can run a contest where every month you supply the fans with a nice HQ picture(s) of Celine and we have a week or two to create a wallpaper. Then you (TC) get to choose the winner and that wallpaper gets posted as that month's TC Calendar.

The August 2006 calendar used the same exact picture as one on the December 2005 calendar I like Tal's idea, that would be a nice way to get the members involved.

This is awful but, sometimes I get messages from other team celine members begging me to vote for them for 'Fan of the Month' and there are so many times when I want to be mean to them, but I always ignore the message...maybe its becuase I`m jealous..who knows, but I think that 'Fan of the Month' should be chosen by the site...not other members because its always a popularity contest. I mean I`m sorry...I don`t even know the other members, so why would I vote for them? How about voting for me?? Ok I`ll get off my soap box now.

You are both right. The fan of the month should be chosen randomly, because I think every single member deserves that title. If you are aiming to get interactivity there are other ways...

 

What I miss the most in TC is Céline's personal involvement. I know and understand very well she's extremely busy but that would be very very nice

There are many suggestions here that we have already been working on ... some of your suggestions unfortunately cannot be made possible for various reasons. Regarding your question about why there was no fan news for a while and why the newsflashes were not appearing daily...we were experiencing problems with our server which did not allow automatic replications. We attempted manual replications, but even this was not working some days. It appears that everything is back up and running now...both fan news and newsflashes. So, feel free to send your news again.

Fair comment, but a lot of people write asking for votes in the mistaken belief that if they win they'll get to meet Céline. celinedion.com do encourage TC members to write and ask for votes, so it isn't going to stop. I usually vote for the first person who asks me each month, and don't bother replying to any messages after that

I always visit a lot of celine dion websites and i always go to www.celinedion.com. i just hope that the website can accomodate celine fans from other countries to join celine dion contests.

 

Here in www.celinedionforum.com, it'sfine here but i hope there is a list of celine fans from every country ( addressof a fan ) so i may know if i have a feloow celine fan in our neighborhood.

 

In www.celinechannel.com, i've already registered to it but whenever i log-in here in celinechannel website, it doesn't recognized meas a member. Even when i go to MIRC, efnet #Celine_Dion, the operator doesn't voiced me when i should be cos i'm a member and i log-in to www.celinechannel.com.

I just have to say, because it's on my mind a lot lately & being a member of TeamCeline, I think it is important to put a value on something like this. (Nothing personal, Amelie... just in general)

 

I understand that sometimes we fans don't always have the money to pay $35 for a subscription to a singer's fan club but I think that when we do have the means we should be willing to give that little amount to support our favorite singer's talent, hard work and what ever else that she has to deal with being in that career field.

 

To get everything for free is to not truly value a person's talent or their hard work. And in this case, it isn't only Celine's dedication to singing and the fans that we are talking about!

 

In this case, we are talking about several other people’s dedication to making the website what it is, working to make contests possible, working to take all the fans' suggestions and see what they can do for them to make things more of what we want. It is many people's dedication who are behind the scenes that we, as fans, never seem to think about that the $35 or whatever pays for...in addition to producing special videos, giving us special clips, giving us a little bit of a discount on merchandise. Let’s face it… every little bit counts and when we buy enough product, you have to think, you’ve probably just about saved up your renewal membership fee…especially after purchasing a couple of show tickets!

 

The problem is that, in a sense, we fans bury ourselves. Because sometimes we get a little fussy about how we never get anything TRULY special. But why is a private video message no longer special enough to make some of us happy?

 

There is an occasional fan or two, once in a while who, however their heart may be in the right place, decides to help someone who is not a member of TeamCeline out. They decide to save something like a video message or an exclusive clip onto their computer and reproduce it by sending that saved file to a fan who is not a subscriber to the TeamCeline system. That person then gets to experience one of the TeamCeline “special” benefits without ever paying a dime. Sometimes that fan knows another who also is not a member of the fan club and that video is passed along to their computer as well, so that eventually you have non-paying fans getting the same things that TeamCeline fans are paying a price for.

 

And frankly, the more that is done, the less special things become and the more difficult it becomes to give something truly of sentimental value to the paying members because sometimes we don’t follow the rules and don’t always do the moral thing.

 

Not to be too dramatic, here, but it’s kind of the same for music files and what the industry is currently worried about. Say the cost of that album has been pre-determined by how many copies it is expected to sell (I honestly have no idea how this part really works). So you have some fans that pay that right price for an album. A friend approaches them, says they love the music and the friend, just being a friend, decides to create a free copy of that CD to give to their friend, no second thoughts. Well, in that case, then the artist of that album has lost one album sale. It isn’t like the friend is going to go purchase the album now that they have received it for free. Celine, in a chain reaction, has then lost out on x amount of dollars and her work then seems less valued.

 

It’s the same for TeamCeline as it is for her music. I believe that in some cases, people’s hearts are in the right place and perhaps don’t think of the chain reaction when doing or asking for such things. But to be real and honest, I also believe that there are some who know exactly what they are doing and have just a general disregard to it.

 

The bottom line is that I believe that it is justifiable to ask people to pay for special TeamCeline features. I believe that currently staff over on that end are doing a fabulous job at finding out what the fans want to see and finding a middle ground between what they know is do-able and what they feel we fans would still be happy with.

 

I think that merits appreciation and in today’s world that requires, in some cases, a little monetary value and so in that case I don’t believe that they are asking too much for us to follow the rules and become a paying member to enjoy the benefits. It comes down to having enough appreciation for all that Celine & company are and do and deciding that we value it enough to pay for it.

 

By now it should be apparent that they are working hard to give something to the fans…and to be taken seriously and be respected, fans need to reciprocate those gestures, be honest, appreciative and then see what comes from those things.

Well you know, after being there last weekend, I just was thinking about a lot of things, especially while sitting behind all of you in the red chairs of AA, BB and CC on our tour:

 

How much work it takes to coordinate just our small group of 40. How much it took to arrange that special surprise (which wasn't ALLLL my idea, by the way--a big contact or two at Feeling/CDA had hoped to be able to give a little something in appreciation of our dedication to being there for Celine--and really seem to have bent over backwards to make it possible). You know, it really does showcase how much you care and really brings up the level of appreciation when you're officially a part of the FANily of TeamCeline.

 

And then, you know, you see the reaction of the TeamCeline members (almost our entire group were members or were attending with a member) and you kind of realize how important just little things are. It makes a difference somehow, which I don't exactly understand, but it was something that you saw that night in the audience.

 

It's like Celine says. You know a difference because you see us singing, dancing, you know all the words to her songs.... and it brings a different energy to the show. It somehow just feels right!

 

 

It wasn't meant to be a rant, more just a general "I've been thinking about this" kind of a thing.
