I second the lyrics translations. As well, I have found that the lyrics on that site are full of mistakes, spelling errors, and incomplete lyrics. Everything on that site should be as professional as possible.

 

I was on Jann Arden's site a few days ago and it's incredible. There's a place where she writes a personal journal...four or five LOOONG paragraphs about whatever it is she's thinking about. (There was a great one about today's radio management). Anyway, I know we'd never get anything that personal from Celine, but it's crazy good. Maybe we could just get a monthly update on what's going on, from the Dion 'team'?

I realise Celine has little time for a "blog" as such but I think she could leave little voice messages once in a while. The video messages we get from her are either related to promotion of an album or perfume, discuss an upcoming event or wish us Merry Christmas. We don't get to hear how she feels or what's she thinks. It lacks all personality and feeling, especially since most of them are scripted infront of specially arranged sets.

 

Mariah Carey, for instance, phones up her webmasters every so often and basically has a chat with the answer phone. She says what's she's up to, where she is, how she's feeling...it's a little insight into her life for a couple of minutes. She could be sitting on her bed with her girlfriends or in her limo on the way to the studio. It doesn't matter where she is because it all adds to the connection the fans feel with her. And no matter what you might think of her, she has a great connection with her fans and I'm a bit jealous of this when I think what little insight we get into Celine's life. Not that we need to see every part of it or be involved with everything, which is why something like this would be so good. Celine would control what we hear since there's no script, no planning...she phones when she wants to say something and I think this would be amazing.

 

I think even Celine could spare a few minutes to leave a voice message on Celinedion.com's answer phone while she's getting her hair done or waiting around before the start of a show. It literally takes two minutes but it makes such a difference. I love it when they announce a new message from Mariah on her site, it's really exciting!

Maybe a question of the month would be something do-able? Maybe each month, TC members can submit a question and Celine's team picks one for her to answer. And either the webmaster schedules a call with Celine and then posts a transcript of her reply....or they can record a clip of her (voice or video) and post that.

its all done in flash, so theres a lot of flexibility. the effects arent as smooth as id like cause i havent put loaders there yet to load the animation before it plays. but it works for now

I rarely check the official site either, mostly because I dont like the layout and the navigation is confusing - there are too many sub categories etc.

like i said though its still very much under construction. id like to see a beautiful flash intro, among other things. but its a big project and i have a regular job plus freelance work so i dont have much time to work on this celine site. but id so love to work with her team and really revamp her website and teamceline too!

CelineDion.com has a fan sites link page. But it's very hard to find it, cause the site is bad organized. Also the link page has not been updated for ages.

Hello /Cy, how ya doin? surprising me,

What I know about TC is only release official stuff from sony music, like an Album only from Incognito...etc. but earlier than that, they can't release. it isn't sony stuffs. So worse to request that. I think i could request something from Teamceline such as email for example mistadorn@celinedion.com wooohoo. sound great yeah? I wish that lol. other stuff is, I want teamceline to sell Celine's CD's, or contact all sonybmg to round the world about Celine's CD. for example, In THailand people starting to listen to Celine Dion. I can see a lot of people are requesting Celine's song on the radio. those song they request are from her earlier album. those cd's aren't for sell any longer. couldn't find it accept order from other country. So bad, so please make it all available. Were fans, were buy her CD's.

I agree with the lyrics translations. I love to translate Céline's French lyrics and it would be great to actually have a good source to get corrections from and see what is exactly said in the songs.

 

I also think more video messages would be awesome. I know she sometimes has messages for Christmas and things like that, but it's not a lot. And really, when making a video for the fans, there's NO need whatsoever to use the setting she makes the videos in now. Making a quick video before the show starts would probably be easier to make and feel much more personal to us fans.

 

I actually like the official Céline site. I wouldn't mind if they updated it, but I'm okay with this layout, I think there are negative sides to not changing the layout every once in a while, but it also has positive sides: it feel familliar. Once you know where to find stuff, it's okay. There's just one reason why I don't come there as often: it doesn't have that many really interesting updates, such as pictures or videos, and there's not a lot to do for non-Team Céline members. I get that there should be a difference, but if you can't pay for it, it would still be fun to have something.

 

And like someone said before, I didn't get why they didn't sell all of her cd's and dvd's in the Boutique!! Some of her earlier cds are hard to find in the regular cd stores and the one place on earth I expected to be able to buy one, was the Boutique!
