Even IIIIF the track was a hit (which is not as is) . how would that be great?? R&B and Celine Dion should never be in the same sentence, we have mariah in the fallen divas category. tracks like "something" and "the show must go on" is the road Celine should take and she did in a way with this new album but with higher quality songs than those and written for her, not (barely) remaking (Alone and RNNTRO). She's Celine F**** Dion, she CAN do that but for some reason, she just doesn't

 

I believe Eyes on me COULD be great with a good remix but this isn't.

Like I said before. The show was a bit short for my taste. But it was a good strategy to cut My Heart Will Go On and Because You loved Me. So people could hear more of Celine's new material from the Taking Chances album. :thumbsup2:

Celine's CBS special was the most watched show of the evening in the USA :clapping:

 

It got a 5.2 rating / 9 share with less than 10 million viewers. It wasn't great but it still beat any other shows on in its time slot and in the evening. Friday and Saturday nights are the worst nights for TV ratings. So considering, it was not bad. In comparison the Garth Brooks CBS special last week got a 5.1 rating / 8 share (8.2 million viewers), which is about the same (less viewers) than Celine's special.

I thought the special was too short, there were too many commercials in between. They should've included more questions like An Audience with...It felt rushed and the ending seemed abrupt. Did anyone else notice Rene as the executive producer on the closing credits? :o

My TV signal isn't that good. Not to worry, the DVD is a lot better. HD version will need to wait a little longer. B)

That's a matter of taste. You can't put that as an unique truth. I think she can do great with some ballads R&B. Mariah does that? And? If we think like that she could never sang ballads on the 90's since we had Mariah, Whitney, Tony Braxton and so much another artists doing the same.

Yeah i notice too! The others special were produced by Pierre Cossette (the producer of the Grammy and a man from Quebec) but he retired. That's great he still present like that!

well eyes on me (remix) has nothing to do with an R&B ballad and if you like what mariah is doing atm then yes you wouldn't see any problem :whistling:
