So, overall I thought the show was good. I just wish she would have sang more of the songs live. At least she could have sang "Taking Chances" and "Alone" live. We all know she can do it. "Something" was stunning - I hope she records this song for a future album. The "Eyes On Me" remix was pretty good - except the two parts where she sang wrong lyrics, but the right ones still came out. Anyone else notice that "River Deep, Mountain High" and "The Power Of Love" audio were pulled straight from the "A New Day..." dvd? I hope this is not a sign of what the tour is gonna be like...She looked amazing, and the songs she did sing live sounded great. Sorry for the rant...

Why can't we be positive once and actually be thankful that we got a special to start with. I understand that people might not like this or that song and that's perfectly fine. Give your opinion on it but don't *CENSORED* about this song not being in there. I mean thank goodness that MHWGO wasn't in there. it's about time they took it out. Yes it would have been great if there had been a commercial aboutn the new album but there wasn't so i think we should get over it. I just look at the fact that we got a special and at this point I think that we should be thankful that we even got that.

Ok first of all I hope you're not saying that i have nothing intelligent to say because the way that it's being said that's what it states and i take offence to that. Secondly i never said that celine was the best, blah blah etc... there are things that could have been changed on the special yes, i agree however with the track record that we've had from Sony i think that the fact we even got a special we should be grateful. Being critical can be good yes but when all you read it negative this and that it gets old and it makes you think aren't people ever happy about anything. That was basically all. And i did say to give your opinion because that's important but to complain that such and such a song wasn't included, I think is going a bit far.

I hated the special. I'd been looking forward to it all day, and I was disappointed by how fake the whole thing was. What bugs me the most about lip synching is how obvious it is. If she was going to use playback, she could have at leave recorded some vocals. You could easily tell the difference between RDMH and Taking Chances. TC, EOM, and Alone were all the album vocals.

 

Come on Celine, we know what the album sounds like!

 

The EOM remix was great, and I loved hearing her do Something, but those were really the only 2 things keeping me from turning the tv off in disappointment.

Boy, I ain't said nothin' about no songs being included/excluded. As far as I'm concerned, TPOL, BYLM, IACBTMN, LCMM and MHWGO can be reTIRED from her repertoire until she is 60 for all I care :P

I still LOVE the album version. The remix was interesting...but the original is fresher and richer and more vibrant.

The only songs sung live were The Prayer and Something, with Joe Walsh...the rest, lipped.

i think that might have been the only live one, which is probably why it was picked for the digital single.

Oh I know you didn't mention anything about those song. I was making a general statement there as some did mention something about that. Trust me if she only sang those once last time before she calls it quit for good I's be as happy about it as you are.

I was making a statement on never ever having something good to say. I mean there's a point where you have to stop and think why even bother if it's all negative. Know what I mean.

The Special was great...Celine looked AMAZING!!!

 

First Of all...THANK GOD they cut the medley, MHWGO, and well....TPOL....at least it was just one...

 

 

The Lipping on Taking Chances is way too obvious...and why the heck do they keep on chopping Alone?? IS the new video going to be that short???

 

those are my complains aside from that....The remix is great!!! and the faces she was doing....priceless...GREAT! The vocals on the prayer were soooo goood!!! RDMH was very very well lipped....sorry guys...but someone that is not a fan wouldn't notice.....and Something was really great...the only song I really want to hear live is TJTWIM just love it! and the raw vocals help to not look as bad as the other studio songs that were lipped ....

 

did I mention...Celine looked great!!! and about the moves ...welll they are really much better than when she danced with Gloria Estefan on those dreadful sleeves and scary make up

So that was pretty much awesome, I got over the lip sycnhing thing/ I was upset but she's still a drool to watch. Haha.
