Na noite em que chegou no hotel com o cabelo solto dava para perceber que ela estava incomodada em alguns momentos. Até o chiclete que ela retornava mastigando dos ensaios era pra aliviar a tensão na área do maxilar.

Apart from the fact that Celine is way older now and her SPS has progressed, she hasn't been on stage for 6 and a half years. She hasn't performed live since March 2020 which is by far the longest she has been off stage. Given the circumstances it's only natural that the first shows aren't going to be the best she can offer. Even in the past her first shows weren't her best, so I don't understand why especially now that would be different. But I also don't understand the incessant comments regarding her performance. Some of you keep repeating the same thing for pages now. If you don't like it, if it disappoints you, makes you feel sad or whatever else, then obviously these shows aren't for you and there is zero reason to keep writing about every single issue that bothers you which ultimately ruins what should be a celebration of her return.

So many years where almost everyone thought that she was done and that she would never be able to return to performing again. Not just unable to sing live but be on stage in general. And here we are with her being back on stage, singing live and not just a couple of songs but for 2 and a half hours! 

As someone who has watched every single show since 2018, multiple times and from multiple angles as well, I can say that I have heard her so much worse numerous times during the LV residency, the Asian tour and the CWT. At this point, I can only explain some current takes as recency bias, memory loss and/or unrealistic expectations.

Anyway, personally I loved the show and even if nothing is gonna change, I will keep loving it. There is always room for improvements but honestly I couldn't care less. Nobody can assure us that her SPS won't get worse and she won't be forced to stop again. Learn to enjoy and appreciate what you are given because nothing is guaranteed, nothing lasts forever, and everything can be taken away in the blink of an eye.

Her first shows are never the best, remember after Rene died and how she sounded then, it’s very similar to Saturday. She will be much stronger as the shows go on and if she isn’t then she’s still amazing. So many female powerhouse singers struggle in their 40s, our girl give us decades of phenomenal vocals and continues to do so. She’s wonderful and I know she wouldn’t have come back if this was her best, she was probably absolutely terrified. We have our favorite back guys, why can’t we just enjoy it. Here for the tree and all that. I fly to Paris tonight for Wednesdays show, cannot wait. We’ve a long wait to check in tomorrow, I wonder if it’s worthwhile going to the hotel ?

What a show, so emotional. Celine was so moved and vulnerable. Here is my review :

General impression : Very beautiful and impressive staging. Celine was very beautiful. I think the bun will go on and on, not a problem if she feels better without long hair. I was happy with the cordless mic. With this large stage, it would have been impossible to manage. Clothes were sometimes too restrictive; Celine could not move easily when singing Destin for example.  Too many non-fans in the audience (I was in the 11th row) , it’s the price to pay when prices are so high…

Setlist and voice : The setlist is good but I think that aging, Celine should evolve to more intimate shows where she would sing more songs like The Chase, fitting better with her new condition. She was not able to sing the 90’s hits live, not a big problem and I like the new pre-recorded tracks with her new voice, but she was also facing difficulties with more simple songs. I ask myself if it was because of emotion, so I hope it will be ok for the next 25 shows. I would say that I heard her 2019 voice, sometimes cracking and derailing. It’s already a miracle that she can sing now, when it was impossible for her to make a sound in 2022. She has worked so hard. I hope she succeeds and that her voice improves on the live tracks to the level of the pre-recorded tracks.

Celine made a lot of mistakes on the lyrics. She was so cute, you could feel her nervosity on this premiere.

On ne change pas : very nice way to introduce the show. Celine struggled a lot because of the emotion. 

Destin : The voice was okay on this song and Celine began to feel more confident

Because You Loved Me : beautiful new pre-recorded version

Encore un soir : good, to the level to 2017 -2019

Les derniers seront les premiers : good

Tout l’or des hommes : good too

The Power of Love : beautiful new pre-recorded version

My Heart Will Go On : beautiful new pre-recorded version

Beauty and the Beast : Barnev and Celine sang it like in 2017-2019, it was good

The Chase : one of my favourites on the courage album, so glad to hear it live! And Celine’s current voice fits it well

I Feel Love : Celine is very comfortable with head voice so it was good

I’m Alive : unfortunately, I think it’s ruined by the orchestration like on the TCWT. I liked the transition between I feel love and I'm alive. This song would need to go back to basic sound. 

That’s the Way It Is : also ruined to my mind by the new orchestration but Celine sang it well

Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This) : good but I don’t like this song a lot

Dansons : Celine struggled a lot with this song. I understand she wants to sing new songs but she’s not ready for this one

Un garçon pas comme les autres : Celine sang it so well compared to the previous track. She’s quite comfortable with the oldies she has sung 10000 times.

Courage : beautifully sang

Love Can Move Mountains : Finally not removed. And happily because Celine sang it very well, I'm sure she keeps this one because she is very at ease on it. The gospel choir brings a lot

The Prayer : like in 2019, she succeeded to sing it well, it fits her current voice

It’s All Coming Back to Me Now : beautiful new pre-recorded version (maybe the last sentence is not pre-recorded)

Je chanterai : my favourite song of the setlist but I hope she won’t struggle for the next shows. She screamed and tried to reach some notes but did not succeed. So sad because this song is so good and so gospel

Ne andrò lontana : beautiful new pre-recorded song. Very, very, impressive. My favorite part of the show even if lipped

All by myself : beautiful new pre-recorded version, only the last sentence is not lipped but it should have been. Celine did not reach the note she wanted to

Pour que tu m’aimes encore : good

S’il suffisait d’aimer : good too

In conclusion, I would say that I lived a magnificent show. It was so moving to live our queen’s return. But, I’m quite stressed for the next few weeks. Will Celine improve her singing by being more confident ? I hope ! I'm going to come back to see her in october and I'm curious how it will be. I believe in her !

I’m not saying that it’s better than “The Prayer” I just think the backing vocals in “I’m Alive” would’ve sounded great with the full choir. I honestly wish the choir section of the show was longer.

What an incredible return. Her raw emotion, the stunning outfits, the solid setlist; all of it was top tier.

I'm just going to say it: if you are whining or complaining about any single detail of this performance, you've lost the plot. Céline fought an incurable disease for years just to be able to stand on that stage again for herself and her fans. If that doesn't earn your respect and gratitude, WITHOUT CRITIQUE, you seriously need to do some introspection today.

When I first saw the On ne change pas video and heard the orchestra arrangement, I honestly got goosebumps. There was something incredibly powerful and emotional about it.

This song carries so much nostalgia. It feels like a reflection of everything we’ve lived through — not just as fans, but as people. We all grow up. We change, we experience love and loss, we make memories, we build our own lives. And somehow, through all those years, Celine has been there.

We grew up alongside her. We watched her journey unfold while our own lives were unfolding at the same time. She had her life, we had ours, and yet her music somehow remained a thread connecting us through all of it.

There are songs you simply listen to, and then there are songs that hold pieces of your life. On ne change pas feels like the latter.

And maybe that's why it hits so deeply. Because when we hear her voice, we don't just hear Celine. We hear the people we used to be, the moments we've lived, the memories we've carried — and all the years that somehow passed far too quickly.

We changed. Our lives changed. Celine changed.

But the connection her music created with us never really disappeared.

How do so many of you know that this song or that song was lipped? And if it was pre-recorded, when do you think the recording was done? To my ear, these vocals did not seem that different from the rest of the show at all, they must have been recorded on the same sound system at the venue? So just days before? 

I think she sang a lot more live than lots of people are assuming...

For some of them, at times the quality of her voice just doesn't 100 percent have the live sound to it. It's hard to explain, but I really noticed it during the sustained note in Because You Loved Me, and the lines after it. I think more of that song is live than many people are saying here but the long note through the last "I'm everything I am", sounds very much lipped to me. I'm not sure how much of MHWGO is lipped. I think maybe just the climax. TPOL is nearly all lipped. The first verse may be live but I'm not certain. IACBTMN could be mixed but the ending is live for sure.

- Last part of BYLM (from long note on)

- The Power of Love (completely lipped)

- My Heart Will Go On climax

- Some of TTWII

- IACBTMN (except ending)

- Opera song (completely lipped)

- All by Myself (completely lipped)

I also think that these vocals were recorded before the summer, presumably in Vegas.

I’ve read that a lot of people think All By Myself was lipped, but if that’s the case, why does she react after the high note as if it took so much effort and she’s relieved and happy that she hit it?

With the Oprah part, I understand her reaction, because that could simply be the happiness and emotion of being able to perform it, even if that part was lipped.
