Concert residency in Paris 2026/2027! *Spoilers*

Here’s my review, I’ll post it in the residency section as well. 

I’m still trying to process what happened on September 12. This was my first Céline concert after being a fan for 16 years, and somehow the reality was even bigger than everything I had imagined. I was in Block A, Row 3, and being that close completely changed the experience. I wasn’t watching Céline on a screen like always, I could actually see her expressions, the way she moved, the way she looked at the audience. She seemed physically so delicate, almost fragile, but her presence was enormous. She had the entire arena in her hands.

The opening with On ne change pas destroyed me. When she reached “une petite fille” and became emotional, I just stood there with my hands on my face, completely overwhelmed. Her voice in person is something no recording can reproduce properly.

The production was stunning too. The giant moving columns felt almost alive, constantly changing shape and revealing the band and orchestra. Ebben? Ne andrò lontana was probably the most visually surreal moment of the night given the iceberg-like structure, the snow, the fog, the orchestral arrangement… hypnotic.

There were so many personal highlights for me: hearing deep cuts like The Chase and Ne bouge pas, Les derniers seront les premiers, Je chanterai live for the first time, and the completely unexpected I Feel Love in the disco medley.

But the moment I will probably remember forever happened during Dans un autre monde. I was singing along like crazy, and during “le monde est à ta porte et tu lui dis merci,” Céline looked directly in my direction and pointed at me while singing. I pointed back and somehow sang even louder. I had brought an A4 sign to show her, but in that moment I realized I didn’t really need it. Nothing I could have written on a sign would have made me feel what I felt in those few seconds.

When the show ended, I just stood there in disbelief. I had waited 16 years for that moment, and suddenly it had happened. It honestly felt less like attending a concert and more like reaching the end of a very long personal journey. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it and I don’t really want to.

BUT - has anyone managed to obtain an autograph at her hotel? She spoke about organizing autographs (fans could give pictures etc to security and collect them at he front desk of the hotel...). I havn't seen any yet!
The most important is Celine and her shows of course, but autographs are the ultimate souvenirs from the shows and the experience ❤️❤️❤️ Just curious...

Hi! I’m going to the concert on October 14th by myself. It’ll be my first time going to a concert alone, and I’ll probably feel a bit anxious since there will be people everywhere around me.

Do you have any advice for someone going to a concert alone for the first time?

I have a seat in the stands, but I’d really like to stand up and move around so I can enjoy the music more and hopefully have that nice feeling of being part of the crowd and the energy. What do you think? Would the people sitting behind me be annoyed if I stood for most of the concert?

THIS!!! I have said this before. It’s really better hearing and seeing it in person. The sound is much better in person than in fancams. It doesn’t really give justice to the sound. It’s very different. It’s more open, her voice sounds really much better in person. I don’t know why only science can explain it lol Got to see her back in 2018.

So! I’m finally back home and I thought it would be fun to share my review of this incredible weekend in Paris. 

The Céline experience started right when I got on the plane in O Porto (Portugal) on Saturday morning. Half of it was filled with Céline fans wearing t-shirts, constantly talking about her… It was amazing to see and it instantly got me in the Céline mood! As I got off the plane, it was obvious that Céline Dion was in town. Banners at the airport, metro stations… None of the things I had seen the previous days on social media can’t be compared to witness the Céline phenomenon in person. 

As we got to our hotel, we made a quick visit to the Céline pop-up store at Fnac La Défense and I was surprised to see it was set up as Céline’s dressing room. If you guys get to go to that one you’ll find all the newly released white vinyls, unofficial books (I would have sent them my own if I had known lol), CDs, a Céline Photo Booth and official t-shirts. I got one from The Colour of My Love era and another one from the Let’s Talk About Love World Tour.

After having lunch we went straight to the venue and the line waiting was insane. My boyfriend told me Michel Drucker was right next to me and I almost collapsed lol. I honestly have no idea of how I managed to ask him for a picture. He’s the sweetest man! For some reason he thought I came from Quebec, and when I told him I’m from Spain he was clearly surprised and said in French “Gosh! So there’s people from all over the world here!” 

Back to the waiting line to access the venue, the ambience was electrifying. Everyone was wearing a Céline t-shirt and people were clearly nervous.

The doors finally opened so we collected our VIP merch and then some items from the official merch. I personally just got a program as I found the rest of items too expensive.

After entering the arena and checking our seats (row 62 was way better than I expected, we were super close to her), I went to say hi to some of you guys from the forum. It was amazing to see you all in person after such a long time, and some even for the first time. 

At one point the girl next to me told me Céline’s siblings had just arrived. I also spotted Annie Horth’s new assistant and Shary Webber walking by. John Nelson also came down to say hi to Oprah.

After and endless wait of 50 minutes that felt like an eternity, Céline finally appeared on stage. You guys can’t imagine how crazy the audience went when she showed up, it was clear everyone missed her. I thought I’d make it without crying, but when Céline struggled to continue singing On ne change pas and started crying I did the same lol.

Overall the show was incredible, like I said on my last post, at the level of other iconic moments of her career like The Millennium Concert or the opening and closing nights of A New Day… René would have been more than proud of her.

As for the new arrangements, Scott is a genius. All the songs felt like new songs, especially uptempo ones like I’m Alive and That’s The Way It Is, which got that fresh disco vibe. On ne change pas felt hyper emotional, partly thanks to that beautiful new arrangement.

Also, hearing Because You Loved Me in full for the first time since 1999 and The Power of Love in full onstage for the first time ever felt really unique. The acapella intro for My Heart Will Go On, that insane new version of Love Can Move Mountains, the unexpected gems The Chase and Je chanterai and the over the top high notes she delivered… It was a night nobody will ever forget. The only thing that felt a bit abrupt was the ending. I believe some members of her team recently said to Le Parisien that some changes might be made to the setlist for the coming shows.

Then Sunday and yesterday felt like a continuation of the show: Céline was everywhere, we visited key places in her career such as the Olympia theatre (I took a picture exactly like the one she has in front of the door), got lots of Céline stuff… 

Didn’t wanna get this long here, sorry everyone. Just wanna finish saying how lovely it was to see many of you, especially Elise and all the group I met at the afterparty.

I've sat alone at her concerts. There's always people around you who obvs came for the same reason. Chit chat. Sing along. Have fun! 

But I remember TCW I sat alone with some boring ppl. I just danced "all by myself" 😭😂

I realized this when I was listening to the recording session of ABM with just the isolated vocals. You can hear her vocal cords kind of split when she hits the note, like she's holding onto the note by sheer force of will but her voice partly gave out, but what ends up happening is she sings the note in two octaves at once, I guess some part of the voice couldn't hold the note and jumped down an octave, but what sounds like her voice cracking is actually a polyphonic tone that is so perfectly in tune that it produces overtones. Her voice is truly an instrument of God that recording technology cannot fully capture.

To anyone concerned about standing up during the concern, don’t be. Almost everyone around me stood for most of the show, and there were people (mainly before the show started) who were climbing on seats to the point that security kept telling them to get down. Granted, that was on the floor, but still.
