But also... grrr. I left the Trocadero/ Eiffel Tower area about 45 min ago. And yeah, it seemed like rehearsals were just getting started. They really want as many people as possible to leave.

 

Part 2 of La Grande Seine (the official opening ceremony doc) on TV right now. Let's see what we find out.

It really warms my heart! It just like I was telling my mom, it’s already such a difference from her dementor at the NYC premiere where she looked nervous. She’s so much more confident, and I have to think that’s because she’s back in Paris where she loves to be! And her fans are adoring her!!!

That’s exactly why I’d never wait outside her hotel… these people wait hours for a maybe to get a picture or autograph… I have better things to do.

Owh but the adrenaline of these little moments.

The louder the screams, the more hyper Celine gets.

I've been there in the past, but it's all worth the wait.

 

Especially on show nights, she is pumped with energy. Like she feeds us and we give back its crazy!

So, a part of the doc touched on the anticipation around who will sing.

They talked quite a bit about Aya Nakamura, and how disappointed they were by the racist blowback against her, when her name first came up. Celine was mentioned, Dua, Daft Punk, Rihanna.. basically they played excerpts of media reports on the various rumours. Of course none were confirmed.

But, Thomas Jolly said all the songs have to be in French. And it's important to not "Americanize the end".

Especially the car scenes, she has done that in the past and I always found it a crazy experience.

Seeing and hearing all those people chant her name.

 

She missed it a lot, but seeing this damn I missed it too!

 

Also a bit worried on how long her body can handle this all. I hope for her still many many many years.

Cool. Maybe they get word from hotel staff if/ when someone is coming out. I'd imagine the staffers take pity on those fans waiting all day and drop them a crumb or two every now and then!

Celine didn’t gave autographs neither selfies, but she went to every corner to wave her fans, then she went to the car

When she was on the roof, a guy had a foot acidente,she went in again

A few fans weren’t respecting the distance between cars

To avoid more accidents they left

 

The other girl were singing PQTME all night long

It seems that’s the only Celine’s song that she knows by heart 😜

- Costumes by Louis Vuitton & Dior

- They have been rehearsing day and night, odd hours (middle of the night, 6 am...), they have set pieces hidden all along the route

- BMX bikes and breaking will be involved

- Marie-José Pérec (who carried the French flag in Atlanta) talked about how meaningful this will be for the athletes that their entry is going to last 40 min (length of the route) rather than a few minutes (entry into a stadium)

- The TV logistics involved are fascinating! Fiber network running along La Seine, 100 camera operators, 200+ phone cameras on boats, it's a massive scale of a show. "We're on the edge of either a disaster or a brilliant show..." Eeeek

That brand gave me my fav Celine shirt ever, so I’m all for it 😆 The one with her ‘future tour’ listing dates on Jupiter/Saturn/Pluto… Largest size they had was for a 14 year old but I hey I wear the shirt the shirt don’t wear me 😜

I can’t believe we are less than 24 hours from hearing that voice again and on a stage like the Olympics. I’m actually so happy right now.

Wow, Celine seems so energetic she’s running all over the place ! The adrenaline and excitement really start to kick in ! Although I still am worried about her brain getting overstimulated. But I am pretty sure she wouldn’t do something that could affect her health. The decease really seems to be under control at the moment. I hope she keeps this energetic shape for the show tomorrow and she won’t be too nervous.
