comingback Posted June 26, 2024 at 09:51 PM Posted June 26, 2024 at 09:51 PM (edited) A really nice post from Krista Wegener, who headed up this project at Sony Music Vision: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/kristawegener_the-last-10-days-have-been-quite-a-ride-activity-7211792413906849792-JXXe Cool. This is the nice lady I sent a Mail to about Celine's docu in April. Then I received a message from Amazon Prime about the screenings. Edited June 26, 2024 at 09:53 PM by comingback Quote
ewh12 Posted June 26, 2024 at 09:59 PM Posted June 26, 2024 at 09:59 PM I think I found out who Joyce is. Compare the pic in this link to the video from the premiere. It’s definitely her. Joyce Smyth. She has managed the Rolling Stones since 2011. Could be partly why Celine was at the Stones gigs a few weeks back. I wonder does this mean she no longer manages the Stones or is she planning on managing them full time and sharing the Celine role with John? I don’t follow the Stones to know much about how she’s managed them in recent years. Would be good to know. https://news.pollstar.com/2020/03/26/joyce-smyth-manager-the-rolling-stones/ She’s had an interesting life! From folk musician to lawyer to Rolling Stones manager. scielle Posted June 26, 2024 at 10:53 PM Posted June 26, 2024 at 10:53 PM LOL Amazon’s “because you watched IACD” is recommending Celine (the 2008 Canadian TV drama) and Aline. Three different films, three completely different Celines! I do wonder what Valerie Lemercier thinks of this doc. Quote

ryba Posted June 26, 2024 at 11:03 PM Posted June 26, 2024 at 11:03 PM I want to add that during the session of Love Again song. When they're listening to the recorded take of her voice. I think Celine did an amazing job harmonizing the part "And you will love" and I think it should have been part of the song. It sounded great!I thought the same!! Quote
tshlw Posted June 26, 2024 at 11:20 PM Posted June 26, 2024 at 11:20 PM I know... irks me to no end. Like, none of us were there, only the two people involved. You have her account, published in print, it ain't difficult to find.Is it a truthful? Is it the full story? We'll never know. But it's the only one we've got and it's from the source herself. Anything else is conjecture and speculation. Exactly and all the interviews they have done there is nothing that makes you think there was anything but love and respect between them. I am sure they had problems like every married couple but to always bring up that maybe things are not above board at this point is just so annoying. Every person who has actually met them say how much they were in love. Quote 'I am, in life and death, the woman of only one man.' Celine Dion My Story, My Dream

Del Posted June 27, 2024 at 12:45 AM Posted June 27, 2024 at 12:45 AM Also when recording, normally she goes to the Vegas studio at Palms right? But this looked like they set it up just for her. Verstuurd vanaf mijn SM-F721B met TapatalkI was thinking the same. Did they just put together this “studio” because they knew they might need more time and this would allow them to take as much time as they needed. So many questions as to why it was this way and where could it have been. 1 Quote Instagram: @delphis78
scielle Posted June 27, 2024 at 12:57 AM Posted June 27, 2024 at 12:57 AM Is there a single news organization in the world she has not spoken with I mean... I don't mind! I'm honestly amazed how much we're finding out from these Irene interviews. I thought maybe she'll do a Q&A or two, an interview or 2, and that'll be it. But the volume has been such a pleasant surprise! And pretty much every single one of these interviews tells us something new and fascinating about Celine. The floodgates have opened and so much is pouring in, after years of silence. Still no sign of that Q&A from the Portland Art Museum though. Quote

Especially when her team doesn’t know how to communicate with the fan base, so Irene has been doing their job. 1 Quote

kaye2023 Posted June 27, 2024 at 02:46 AM Posted June 27, 2024 at 02:46 AM Also when showed Rene's pic when Celine said he gifted her the Maria Callas necklace it sits in a tray we see on the footstool in first shot when the twins interviewing Celine. Just moved to other side of the books. Am I the only one who bristles whenever Maria Callas's name (and, now, necklace) comes up? Callas who lost her voice and suffered/died due to an incurable neuro-muscular degenerative disease... 1 Quote
