That?! That's all she got?! She and Andrea were the only ones who hadn't performed. I'm sitting here thinking "Of course! They're going to do The Prayer. I'm gonna bawl. Best night ever" and then they pull that group number with her and Andrea hardly in it. I expected SO much more from Gloria. UGH!

it isn't only that, she seemed to put much more effort into what she is wearing that how she will sing.

 

I thought she made the most of the lines she was given. She definitely played around with them, and didn't just sing them straight on. She did her classic Celine runs

I was surprised to hear Stevie hit that high note, didn't know he still had that in him. Then I expected Celine to take it higher, but it didn't go that way.

 

I'm sure Celine was assigned this part, so I agree that we should be upset with Gloria. But, to be honest, maybe copyright on songs was an issue. To maximize the amount of charity money and reduce the costs. That's why Josh Groban sang a random song from a musical and why they chose Smile, which is a very old song. Could this be the case?

I know! I was watching the « 10 ans déjà » concert few days ago and i told myself « its so sad because that Celine is really gone » I miss the Celine that wanted to sing and not only the money to be fashion with shoes and clothes.

Thank You! This was done by the Estefans, it was a showcase of their child (awful singer) probably David Foster produced the arrangement so they had to fit Mcphee all over the place. And the funny thing.... probably they're sitting on a full taped performance of Celine's Vocals

It wouldn't be a big deal if Celine sang one song over the 8 past months since the beginning of this f.ing pandemic but she never did . 9/11 was the total opposite 2 flawless performances that were so memorable and powerful . Pandemic= one line in a group almost like a backup singer

Hugely disappointed in celine and her team. Gad. Why would she agree to this??? I've been in denial for so long but it looks like in every appearance she does as of late, she does it half-heartedly. She's no longer the same celine i used to adore. Gone is the enthusiasm, the passion and the magic in her performances. What's up, celine and teamceline?!

Whether it's produced and directed, someone whose name as big as Celine should've a big power and bargaining position in business. I am speechless. Ironically enough, she seems like put great efforts for her make up and dress. This only show me that now Celine has no passion or ambition for her music no more.

It’s not Gloria Estefan fault. It’s Celine’s fault. It’s when having a lack a management comes to play. They should’ve asked her to participate and then her team is supposed to give them their part. I’m sure Gloria and the production team asked for the final number but that’s when her team is supposed to say... she’ll participate in that along with the title track of her album “courage”.

 

It’s laziness on her teams part, I’m sure Celine was thrilled to give them the bare minimum. It’s quite pathetic really. :smh:

Yes , correct , I am talking about tragic events when it's time be good and give it all like René said .. Celine was amazing with lamour existe encore, god bless america and l'hymne a l'amour for the bataclan at the Amas... but if there is one time in your life you should give one heartfelt performance for one song ... it is during this unprecedented time , she always speaks how therapeutic music can be ... something is off with her . Anyway I don't loose hope ... I just would have preferred no performance at all
