Celine on "Nurse Heroes Live!" benefit concert

Celine Dion and Gloria Estefan will be leading a star-studded concert paying tribute to nurses on Thanksgiving Day.

Nurse Heroes Live! will help fund programs benefitting nurses, including scholarships for the healthcare workers and their children.

A slew of musicians will be headlining the show, including Black Eyed Peas, Stevie Wonder, Carole King, Andrea Bocelli, Maluma, Josh Groban, Pitbull and David Foster and his wife Katharine.

The all-star concert will be hosted by Whoopi Goldberg and produced by Emilio Estefan.

In addition to the celeb-packed musical stylings, a choir of 50 nurses from Northwell Health will be performing as an ensemble with several musical stars.

I’m sure everyone will want her to sing something off the new album but I don’t know that she has a song that fits. This concert calls for something upbeat, positive, lively. I’m Alive would be a great choice and...message board goes crazy in 3...2....Love Can Move Mountains would fit perfectly.

Actually there are tons of possibilities, The prayer with Groban or Bocelli, Eyes on Me w/ Will.I.Am, Overjoyed w/Stevie, The Reason with Carole King, Here We Are/Because You Loved me with Gloria Estefan... or a true Divas '98 reunion ( we need Shania on board).

 

But I hope it's something new

Won't see her doing something very uptempo if it's just from home, but who knows.

As much as I’m sick and tired of the song, “Because You Loved Me” would be the most logical choice. “Then You Look At Me” would be perfect, too, but we all know that will never happen.

It’s a good thing Emilio Estefan is producing this since I don’t know who else would’ve managed to get Céline to participate.

 

As for the song choice, all I ask is for it to not be “Imperfections” again. “Because You Loved Me” makes the most sense and it would be nice to have a fully live performance of that song in 2020. Then again, if she performed one of the new songs, it could increase the album’s popularity.

 

Someone suggested “Eyes on Me” with will.i.am. As much as I’d love Céline to show some love for the TC album, it’s not looking looking looking very likely

The last time she really surprises me was when she put on a stunning performance of song "A Change Is Gonna Come" at an Aretha Franklin tribute.

 

So I won't put my hope high.
