Not when it is courage or imperfections. Time for attention to the other songs. It is always like this and that makes myself less interested in listening to her albums - because of her lack of singing the songs.

Why do they give all their attention to the boring and sad Courage? It had it's time.

 

Now they should focuse an a true gem from the album: The Hard Way, it's souaring and energetic, it's so Celine! She literally slays it! And insted of giving this exceptional gem the exposure it deserves, they focuse on the old and unspectacular Corurage song. I just can't... She will always be stuck in one place and never move forward if she continues like this. So much unused potential...

I've seen just as much if not more promotion for the Dolly Parton latest Christmas Movie then I had for all of Celine's Courage album. That said, Netflix is swimming in cash.

I understand where you are coming from, but I feel like this is a very unique situation since her illness last year and then her quick start to tour and then COVID really cancelled out the chance for her to showcase this song. Plus, it's the name of the album, so that could be smart too.

 

I think Courage is a very strong song, even if it has sad undertones. Catharsis is the important thing, not whether it's upbeat or not IMO.

Not courage pls. I dont want to see celine look like she's about to cry. Plus it really is a boring song. Instead of uplifting the spirits of the frontliners,it just might dampen their mood or of those who are going to watch her. Besides, the occassion is not about her so i hope she wont make it about her by looking all sad and lonely during the performance.

“Courage” and “Imperfections” are the two main singles and most successful songs on the album, along with “Lying Down”. The way the industry works is you release some singles which you think are the strongest songs with the most potential and you perform them over and over again. She isn’t expected to perform the whole album and honestly, given how little of it she has performed so far, I’d be pleasantly surprised even with just the performance of a single. Think about it, during the TC era (which btw I think was very well managed) she would always perform “Taking Chances”, “Alone” and later “My Love”. She didn’t go around singing “Surprise Surprise”, “Right Next to the Right One” or “This Time”. As long as she does the same for the Courage album I’m happy.

 

That being said, I’ll throw myself out the window if she performs “Imperfections”!

That’s pretty much nothing when you’re promoting an album. I should be sick of seeing her sing “Courage” on every TV show out there yet we haven’t yet got one performance. Hope she sings it on Thursday.

Yeah I would rather not Courage but a more fun song and less sad and depressing. It's actually the only song I skip when listening to the album, but not because it's bad. I personally find it too slow to build up to the end, despite being a short song.

I agree. “Courage” in my opinion , is the “cheapest” song of the album... next to “flying on my own” .

I am totally laughing at the people who think this song is such a downer. The music video makes it seem a little more like that, but the song itself is actually amazing and empowering.

 

The main point of the song is but I won't crash yet despite my vulnerability.

 

Besides, so many people use songs like that to get through. The point is about catharsis, which can come from a good cry or can come from a good dance. It doesn't have to be just one mode. The special isn't called "Party for Nurses"

She will definitely sing Courage. Bocelli and Groban are also on the list, so The Prayer could be the closing song. And Gloria is a good friend, so I'm sure she will sing sth. with her.
