When you see an interview like this, can you blame Céline for limiting her promo interviews? Having to go through this must have been so annoying for her. They are interviewing her but also almost making fun of her. And it shows in her reactions and answers. She seems so fed up at times!

This is the Celine I grew up watching - the woke mom. She is so uncomfortable in so many of those from the 90s - where it's all about sex and Rene. I love Celine for her post-baby romantic prose. Those old French men never gave her the opportunity.

 

Also, it's nice that Sonia isn't talking over Celine throughout this one!

Wow - THANK YOU! What a great interview. The in-depth questions tracing the trajectory of her career make it feel almost like a documentary. Did you add those performance clips in between, or was the the original version?

 

** Is there anyone out there who knows about “upscaling” video? It would be incredible to see these old clips cleaned up a bit - both audio-wise and visually

 

 

 

Ok! So Celine clears up the MHWGO question once and for all. Recorded it 2-3 times at the demo, never recorded again.

 

So… I still think it’s the same exact vocal for MHWGO, and that the producers artificially manipulated that sustained note at the end in post production, but it’s entirely possible they recorded two final notes, and that the sustained note sounds funny because of the caffeine in her vocal chords.
