Sorry that some of us are choosing to be REALISTIC about this situation about Celine, & are not going g along with the whole bandwagon of "OMGGGG Celine is going to start a new residency, tour, new album, etc... any day now!" Look at the past 2 years, apparently that has not taught some of the fan base to be somewhat realistic, as people are STILL making "predictions of career comebacks" even after the disappointments of the previous years when we had no comebacks. The vast majority of us do not know Celine or her family/team members, etc... personally, so it is all just pure speculation/rumors at this point, with no basis in reality! But oh my Lord, if some of us have different opinions, heaven forbid! But still does not give you the right to be mean & nasty! Yeah seeing her at that Katy show was so heartening. The fact she can handle noise, lights, heels. - that's already a win, since many people with SPS can't.

The big unknown now really is how it affects her breathing and vocal cords, diaphragm, lungs. After all, many people with SPS have severe respiratory issues. She might be able to sing a few bars but what if a spasm comes on mid-song? What if it's completely unpredictable and she's struggling to breathe, never mind sing at her level.

And if that's her issue... can physical therapy really help?

She has had to "relearn" how to sing properly early in her career, but this... this is different. It may not be physically possible. We simply don't know, but Claudette's comments hinted that this might be the problem.

Those guys have been like synching the entire time, & lets just say that incident LITERALLY KILLED THAT GROUPS CAREER! Milli Vanilli was over after they were caught lip-synching!

 

So my point is, we all know Celine would NEVER foolishly risk her career like that! We all know how much of a PERFECTIONIST Celine has always been & how much of an honest person she is. Even if most of her hard-core fans would not, (or maybe not) be bothered by her lip-synching her whole concerts, but if she ended up caught, the media would have a field day! It would ruin her career! We have to keep in mind, other people besides us hard-core fans do attend her concerts, such as the general public, reporters, journalists, internet bloggers, etc... so if a mishap on stage happened & she got caught lip-synching, it would be devastating & the career & legacy Celine & Rene worked so hard to build over the years would be destroyed forever! Fox Documentary", (please watch it, I recommend it, pretty much what we should expect from "I Am: Celine Dion", as their health issues are pretty similar to each other,) Michael's documentary had also shown a retrospective of his entire career & life from the beginning, to the struggles he has had with Parkinson's disease & that it caused his early retirement from acting. So no, Michael DID NOT announce any comebacks, & yes it ended with the unknown of Michael's future due to Parkinsons.

 

I am just saying, do not be surprised if Celine's new documentary ends in the same/similar way. I hope not of course, but again we need to learn how to set realistic expectations when it comes to Celine & her current situation. She has a progressive & incurable disorder, its NOT the flu or a cold! We got to keep that mind! SPS is not something that will just disappear on its own as much as we all want it to!

Because like myself & SEVERAL OTHERS on this forum have been saying for the past few months, she might not be physically able to perform concerts, tours, Vegas residencies, etc like she used to. The one-off appearance that Celine has occasionally been doing, such as at the Grammy's awards last night, as well as the hockey game & Katy Perry show appearances from last fall, might be THE NORM FOR HER from this point now due to her health issues. & hopefully Celine will be able to do some more appearances down the road, such as presenting at award shows, attending other people's concerts, attending other live events, maybe even appearing on talk shows as a guest/do interviews if she is up to it, or record a few songs/music videos as well, if she is still able to sing that is. Anything that might be about 5-10 minutes in length, no longer than 15-20 minutes if her health will allow it.

 

But as far as the regular full 90-minute to 2-hour live concerts, the massive tours, massive Vegas residencies, etc that we all have been used to from Celine over the years, THOSE DAYS SEEM TO BE OVER, as it seems that her health will not allow her to risk doing any major projects like that, just too risky now!

 

I know it's gonna hurt all of us long-time fans, I know it will hurt me as I have never gotten to see her in concert & it looks like I will never get to now (my only chance was the Washington DC concert that was cancelled on 2020.) But this situation looks like the reality we all are having to face with Celine's current health battles. OMG. Ok, the only thing I'm going to say is that I don't think any of us are in denial about a return to the stage... it's called hope. The moment I even think that she's not coming back, it's over. Sure, she may never come back, and that's ok... but so is letting people have those fantasies because it's keeping us going. Now with the release of the documentary and it being about SPS, I think that the documentary will provide some closure that we've waited so long for, even if the verdict is that it's either 1) not now or 2) not ever. Relax. Let people figure out how to navigate this as we go. As stated, with the documentary, I think we'll finally have some closure, even if it's without the happy ending we all want for Celine.

 

Well I am NOT saying to never have hope. Yes I know all of us SHOULD have some hope, I have hope too, & even Celine does have hope as well.

 

But I am trying to explain to you & to other fans between fans HAVING HOPE & fans spreading RUMORS about Celine "making a comeback" & "Celine anoounce a new tour, new residency, etc" (even though she had to cancel all of her CWT shows last year, smdfh) as if IT WAS THE GOLDEN TRUTH, & so far it has not been! & I am not just talking about for this year, there were the SAME EXACT RUMORS last year that never happened, & THE SAME THING in 2022, that also never happened!

 

Fans who keep claiming they have "personal connections to Celine &/or her family" or they also "have insider information from Celine & her family&/or team", & I would say 99.9% IS FALSE! Sorry but I am just trying to be honest here. These fans have NO CONNECTIONS to Celine or her family/team members then I have connections to the King of England or King of Saudia Arabia lol (& trust me dude, I do not have any connections to any royalty whatsoever! I am just a poor front desk receptionist from the US who does not know any rich people personally lol.)

 

I am sorry to say this, but the vast majority of these who claim "personal connections" to Celine, need to stop claiming they do & stop spreading rumors as if they do! & Just a fun little fact: meeting Celine at a concert/live event one or twice in a person's life DOES NOT MEAN THEY HAVE A "PERSONAL CONNECTION!" Sorry but it just does not! Celine has met MILLIONS of fans during her 40-year career, I am very sure that she does not really remember every single one of them, because she has sooo many fans!

 

& for example, I have seen the Backstreet Boys in concert in the last 90s & briefly to meet them back stage, then I have seen the band Creed in concert in the early 2000s & briefly met them back stage as well. (Both shows were in Washington DC, where I was supposed to see Celine at in 2020, before she got sick & cancelled all of her shows, & both of those concerts were great, I really enjoyed them!)

 

But guess what, even though I have met the Backstreet Boys & Creed over 20 years ago at their concerts DOES NOT mean that I have a "PERSONAL CONNECTION" to any of the members of either groups, & I WOULD NEVER go around claiming to have "personal connections" with either groups because that would be telling lies if I did! Both groups have met MILLIONS of fans over years at their concerts/live events, just like Celine has! & I know they will not remember me after 20+ years later, & that is fine with me, I am still a fan of both Backstreet Boys & of Creed, but I do not claim any personal connections to them or their families, team members, etc...

For sure more things are going to happen. When? Sometimes there are last minute changes but not related but problems, issues (related to those rumors) you all know what I mean.

It's all about business stuff. I mean in everything. I am not talking especially about RW.
