Proposal for 2012? Do you mean 2010 in Vancouver? I wasn't really following at that time, what exactly went down?

 

(Incidentally, I was one of the many volunteer performers for the opening of London 2012. Just the coolest experience! Highly recommend.)

 

2012. With 2010 She was pregnant so didn't count on it. But yeah she could have been part of that too.

 

When London and Paris were fighting to organize the Olympics. She recorded even A Paris? That was supposed to be for the Olympics in Paris 2012 if they had won. I don't think she would sing that now but it would be SO fitting to have her in Paris 2024.

I have no inside info, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was going to be the opening number. She had been wanting to do her shows that way for so long, but Rene basically put his foot down and said no. The only exception (that I know of) was The Millennium Concert.

The last planned show of the Courage World Tour was to take place on April 22 in London. I don't expect any concert announcement before that day...I would personally find it weird (even though I totally understand they had to cancel the whole tour at some point).

Agreed. Nothing is coming before May. They could announce the doc release date in June / July for early fall and maybe a few random shows in Vegas before the end of the year if she stays in good form. I change my mind every other day about Vegas - I’ll be back to thinking it’s not happening by tomorrow lol

Well either way, with the way her health is these days dealing with SPS, I feel that the days of her doing full length concerts, tours, residencies, etc, (whether it is in Paris, Vegas, Canada, England, wherever else in the world no matter the location,) ARE LONG OVER! What location she would be performing/touring at would NOT MATTER AT THIS POINT because of her health.

 

I know there have been fans on social media, (& even on this very forum,) "predicting" her comeback for the past 2 years, (& even more so after her few small appearances since last fall.) & a lot of these fans are claiming "personal connections/insider connections" to Celine &/or her family & team members, & hate to say it, I feel that 99.9% of those fans have NO CONNECTIONS WHATSOEVER & they have NO MORE INFORMATION when it comes to Celine & what she is doing/going to do any more than the rest of the world knows.

 

Now hopefully Celine will be able to keep doing the small appearances she has been doing. & also maybe do appearances on talk shows, be a guest star on shows such as "The Voice" or "American Idol" (which I have heard that show is making a comeback sometime this year, but I do not know the exact date it will premier or anything,) maybe sing one-off performances of 1-2 songs at the most, & maybe even be able record a few songs/record small albums at some point.

 

But as far as her doing the nearly 2-hour, 15-20 song concerts, & the massive tours/residencies, etc are pretty much over at this point, & although I know we will all miss that, & I know she will miss it as well... We all need to accept everything as it is, & just be happy & grateful with what she is able to do, & be happy & grateful that she is at least getting out of her house & out in public again! (& I am NOT just saying this to YOU in particular about this, I am talking towards ALL of the fans who are constantly insisting that Celine will be going back to concerts/touring/residencies "any day now", without taking into consideration the status of her health!)
