New Las Vegas residency show!

It's strange that now there is pretty much no promo at all. Remember when AND was about to start? They did tons of promo in 2002, even a bonus DVD on the ANDHC album with footage showing Celine on the construction site, a press conference, rehersal footage from Belgium, lots of behind the scenes footage. For her second residency we got 3 Boys And A New Show, an extensive documentary which was like a dream come true for every Celine fan. And now nothing! That's so dissappointing.

The first residency HAD to be marketed. Everyone said it was going to be a failure. They had to aggressively market it, release a live CD, etc. The 2nd residency documentary was, I think, thanks to Oprah and of course Celine wanted to share her fertilization story. Celine sells now without much advertising.

It's open.

Ah, love that dude! Glad he's back.

And judging from that post, they've been rehearsing remotely for a while (or perhaps even physically in Montreal, seeing as so many of the band members - and Scott - are based there.) Good to know.

So does anyone think there will be any VIPs/Media on opening night??

Hopefully we get something from her Team in the coming weeks! :)

Well, looks like Adele is headed to either Caesars or Park MGM in 2022 - https://www.billboar...ency-new-album/

"As speculation grows around a new Adele album, the superstar singer is considering a Las Vegas residency in 2022, sources tell Billboard.

Adele is currently shopping for options and, according to sources, she is considering either the Park Theater at the Park MGM Las Vegas or the Colosseum at Caesars Palace -- both of which are run by Live Nation and have available dates on their calendars for 2022."

Celine getting her due in the write-up:

"The modern residency was pioneered by Celine Dion at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace in March 2003, beginning a run that would last 16 years, include more than 1,000 shows and gross well north of $681 million in ticket sales. Since Dion's debut, hundreds of artists have tried their hand at Vegas residencies, including, most recently, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Usher, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, Rod Stewart and Sting. Once considered the domain of artists long past their peak, today's Las Vegas residency shows are big business, generating millions in sales. Adele would be one of the rare artists to play a Las Vegas residency during what many consider to be a new creative peak in her career."

Well, Vital Vegas (same account that broke the news of Céline at RW a good year before anyone else) is now reporting it’s Caesars. Adele is taking over the Colosseum.

My biggest fear is that we will see the Courage Tour without wheels. So interseting to think about how long it's been since the Courage tour started and ended and how it's still going on after Vegas begins. Must be no getting out of that contract

It's not ended, it's still going.. probably her biggest world tour..lol

Yeah I am truly interested if she is excited for that Courage tour.

You would think that with this new residency she has new ideas and all is exciting.

Can't really imagine she feels the same about the tour, it's been almost 2 years. Hopefully they revamp it a little bit.

According to the very few interviews she's been kind enough to give, the "show" should be something extremely clean. No dancers, nothing on stage but Celine and probably the orchestra. It won't look spectacular in my opinion. The less they can do the less they will.

My hopes are on setlist improvements, but they are, as you can imagine, very low.

Clean. More on visuals.

Clean - it should be just her with a huge stage.

Visuals - assuming that the stage will be huge (given the fact that they said it will have the huge stage ever) the stage will be projected by this graphic lights/elements for more visuals (like they did in A New Day. And a huge LED at the back?

Bands - does that mean they will be hidden again (idts)

Clean (Intimate)

Visuals (Imaginative)

I hope they will focus again on sounds especially the mic in proshots. I mean, since the big change (2015) the sound is bad. It’s always this direct sound with no reverb. So flat and super dry in Céline’s mic.

Noticeable in the released proshots in Las Vegas 2016-recent

Perhaps it’s just the perspective, but that’s a lot of wall to look at. And it certainly lacks the warmth and intimacy of the Colosseum. Wonder how Céline will work with such a large space and make it not feel like an airplane hangar.

If anyone happens to come across RW's purse/bag policy, please let me know. I have tried contacting them for details, but all they tell me is please refer to AXS.com for more info? I'm not finding anything. My parents have been to a few concerts as of recently and a lot of places have tightened up their policies from only allowing clutches no larger than 8" in size, or even as far as only allowing clear purses and bags. I just want to be well prepared for the show without any hiccups while trying to get through security. :)

This is awesome and very exciting!

Sorry, but it looks oldfashion and cold.

Agreed!

I’m thrilled that the theater is actually close to completion.

And it will feel much warmer once it’s all lit up.

As I said previously it’s still not 100% finished, wait till it’s finished at least! ;)

That's what I thought!

Above the stage there is a lot of wall.

Looks a bit weird, but who knows.

Maybe that's for lightings or something "visuals"

Exactly, once everything is on the stage it will probably feel very intimate. I prefer the gold back layout over the red. Less harsh on the eyes and will match anything on the stage/screen.

I’m glad the theater is pretty much finished!!! It’s rapidly approaching for her to open the place and I can’t believe I’ll be in Vegas in less then a month!! It’s been a quick couple of months! Hopefully she’ll start some interviews soon or show some brief sneak peeks. I hope that they really make use of that center lift, it looks quite big!

I can’t wait to go to the premier! No idea what she will be singing, so it’ll be so fun to guess what may be coming next!

Sliver lining however, One things for sure, the first show will always be the longest setlist before they cut out a few gems ( it never fails).

This is why I'm hoping some fans record the first few shows from start to finish so that we'll always be able to enjoy those gems.
