This year there hasn't been any confirmed guest list though. The only people confirmed are the co-chairs and Rihanna who is hosting an after party. Zendaya also revealed she won't be there because she's filming her HBO show.

 

Idk if people remember that guy who posted a dm he got from Celine that said she'd meet him at some airport in NY. He also revealed that Celine along with other celebs are allegedly working on projects with Balenciaga. If that's true maybe it's for the Met (or Vegas).

 

One day in NY won't take much time from her. Plus everyone there will be vaccinated & likely tested for covid. It's not much of a bigger risk than being in a room of 5k people.

I’ve been thinking about that Balenciaga message! Do you remember who posted it? I tried looking like a week ago but I couldn’t find it. I would love if Celine was able to go, and I suspect she will.

I, too, think it might be nice for her to go. Just for herself. She always seems to have such a fantastic time at these events. And an A-list party like this will ensure everyone is vaccinated. And, if Celine is vaccinated--which I have to believe she is--there's little chance of getting sick from any of the variants. I hope she goes and has a great time. It could be a great way for her to promote the new Vegas shows in interviews as well which Resorts World would probably love.

Isn't she in Vegas rehearsing the show? Wonder if she thinks it's worth flying to New York for the Gala. Not sure where she is rehearsing… still in Quebec or is she finally in Vegas? Assuming not since the theatre isn't done yet.

 

She has live in Vegas for almost 20 years now and she’s always flown in and out for various events. We know there’s no such thing as ‘worth it’ for Céline, it’s all about living life, splurging and ‘go big or go home’ kind of mentality and lifestyle; she an intense person and fast-paced, hectic schedules are natural to her. In terms of rehearsals, I don’t think they’ve begun at all yet, even with the show being less than 2 months away.

I think she’ll go, especially if she’s vaccinated which I believe she probably is. This will be a smaller risk then the shows she will be doing in the next month. The machine has to get running again, she made that clear by agreeing to Vegas again this November. She can’t live in the bubble forever, I’m sure she will take extra precautions with a mask and good hygiene regardless.

Céline herself said she was vaccinated (fully, I believe) in an interview with a Las Vegas journalist back in May.

i dont think so she wont risk going to new york getting sick or anythign wiht the upcoming show and probable she is rehearsing the show its already within 1,5 months

He said he wouldn't be posting a pic with Céline (he was 'joking' about posting one before).

 

Guy seems to be a model of some sorts. He may have made the whole thing up, but he didn't actually admit to it.

I just read an article about the Met Gala in the NYTimes. The 400 member guest list is very closely guarded. No one is going to know until 6pm EST tonight. The theme is American Independence. 70% of the designers are young, up and coming designers, and the guest list is expected to skew younger/influencer. The "hosts" are all Gen Zers.
