I think if I had to guess that hairstylist is also the one posting for Celine, at least she takes all the photos...wouldn’t surprise me if they had a “work” cell phone they carry around when she’s doing a show or event that is strictly for updating the social media platforms.

Well to be fair, those credits don't mention who the producer (of the studio version) is... neither do the credits @ Apple Music or Spotify.

So it can still be him (although I don't think it is).

Well it's pretty exceptionel that a song gets released on a different day than Friday (or Thursday).

Everything in the "music promo system" is aimed towards a release on either of those days. The "New Music Friday" lists, the pushes, etc. etc.

It could be a big factor (other than that Céline's team themselves are not even pushing it that good) in why it doesn't chart higher.

 

I reckon they're gonna release the studio version + music video either next week or just before Hyde Park.

This live release could be the equivalent of a lyric video.

Yeah she has to do something to keep her job as the person who does “stuff” with her hair when her hairstyling speciality is “de bun” the names Dee, “ Dee de bun “.

 

They seem to know everything about fashion and nada about music which is why her social media explodes everytime she leaves the hotel in Paris, but go to music and we get a flash back today from the last show despite the song being “released”.

 

They need to get people who specialise in certain things and stick to it.

René said it a few times, he said its all about marketing, and putting your artist on everything, everywhere. Spending alot on billboards etc. I remember saying that after someone commented on how Celine was present everywhere in Las Vegas, at the airport, on taxis, like everywhere.

So this afternoon i played with the song, tried to match my drumsamples with the song, recorded them on time - as much as i could, recorded some hithats and caps plus

sidechained the kickdrum with the bassline that i also recorded.

Is it possible that this live release is Celines own release, and not a Sony release? If that’s the case then there are many factors that play a huge role. Maybe Sony didn’t want to release it yet, so she did it.

 

But then on the other hand, is she authorised to release her own single herself, even though she has a contract with Sony and this song will be on Sonys next release (her new album)?

 

We'd have to dig into the specifics of this single's release (like if we had a physical copy) but can't she release live materials through her AEG contract?

That's not say it isn't technically a Sony release but under which imprint of Sony? Is it released by Epic or Sony Legacy?

Results on Itunes are laughable. Let's be honest here.

 

Well, iTunes is irrelevant nowadays anyway.

 

You can be #1 on Itunes and not chart on the main singles charts on most countries.

 

It is streaming (Spotify, YT etc.) which count.

 

Not saying the song will do good there (on the contrary), but Itunes charts are no longer an indication of the success of a song.

Budget is not even necessary.

 

I mean a young geek could do better on social networks.

 

When it comes to MV , I m pretty sure a video shot in Venice, LA with nice images, light, sunny, sunset would have costed less than all the technology set up in the colosseum to get what we got.

My take and a few others have said similar.

 

This live version was for us die hards to keep us happy as they were feeling the pressure / and as a thank you and tie in with the end of the Vegas show.

 

But the original plan was to release this in London and kick it off with an official music video and aggressive promo.

 

Could be completely wrong though... just my thoughts!
