In 2017 it was even "announced" in the Israeli press that she would come that year (when the tour was already announced) and kept claiming that it was true.

She didn't come.

Even though I have nothing against a simple show. The "her her her" makes me think it would be fun with videos with clips from her career during costume changes (and save us the cringy backing vocals medleys) and perhaps her showcasing highlights from her numerous looks throughout the years (as Cher also has done).

Even Though most Israelis don't know she has new single out there,

I guess Sony didn't send it to radio stations here, it's so nice to see

that the notice about her maybe coming to Israel next year gathered

thousands of comments. She is very beloved here and it just warms my heart.

If she will come here, the plans are to let her sing in one of Israel's biggest stadium.

So she's been in Montreal for nearly a month now and managed to stay completely under the radar. I guess the only way for her to do that while in Quebec is to stay cooped up in her mansion!

On the one hand - good to know she can still have some privacy.

On the other - I bet she sometimes longs for the day when she could just walk down the street (with a camera in tow, no less!), and go completely unrecognized. (Like she did in this video I posted in the YT thread:)

Remember the interview she did in Jan, in which she recounted a story of being bullied in school that made her cry?

This evening one of the second-most viewed Israeli channel, aired a full 10 (!) minute report about Celine

in a news edition. The bottom line is that lately she has being going through a renaissance with her looks and music.

 

I can't remember when was the last time an internatcional singer got that amount of time for a report.

To my opinion, they will keep creating this buzz around her, while making incredible efforts to bring

her for a gig in Israel since they know that "half of the country" will want to go to see her in a show.

 

They played "FOMO"! and said it's a hit well, I have no doubt the editor of the resport he/she is a fan of her.

Nice someone else is doing the job Sony doesn't make for this song.

Nothing at all against Veronic. I just hope instead of another impersonator - be it Veronic or André-Philippe Gagnon - she hires some exciting up & coming talent. Hopefully more than just one, so several people can rotate and get the opportunity.

There are so many talented, interesting musicians (in Quebec, and elsewhere ) who could do a great bilingual opening set. Hope she gives them a chance.
