Céline RO Posted July 27, 2019 at 11:34 AM Posted July 27, 2019 at 11:34 AM I’m pretty confident that this tour will feature a COMPLETELY new show, different from Vegas, summer tours or anything she has done before. This not only is a new tour promoting a new album but it also represents a whole new chapter in Céline’s life. Moreover, Céline herself has made it very clear on multiple occasions that this will not be the Vegas show. I also have a question as I know Céline’s English isn’t perfect: in one of the interviews after the April event (I can’t find it) she speaks about the setlist. Do you think she says: “the songs you used to hear me sing” or “the songs you’re used to hearing me sing”? I hope it’s the former. 3 Quote The best is yet to come...

AdrienneM Posted July 27, 2019 at 12:21 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 12:21 PM Agreed. It would be in everyones best interest to just expect the vegas set list, then when there are surprises and differences, its more exciting and fun 1 Quote
AdrienneM Posted July 27, 2019 at 04:54 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 04:54 PM Quote from Billboard.com from the Facebook Q&A portion of the April 3rd event: “It’s not gonna be the Las Vegas show. It’s gonna be the songs that I hope that you want to hear. The songs that you used to hear me sing,” Celine said. “I would like for this tour to be the most spectacular tour.” 1 Quote
Nmj Posted July 27, 2019 at 05:10 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 05:10 PM (edited) The Vegas setlist is almost certain to happen. Of course it won’t be exact and there will be new parts of the show but this setlist is about 85% complete in my opinion. Reason being, the setlist from Vegas didn’t include songs like “Open Arms”, “At 17”, “Lullaby”, “Overjoyed” or “Goldfinger”.... they have been gone but the latest Vegas shows before ending included much more of the greatest hits, these are songs she can’t and won’t avoid on the new tour.... 1. The Power Of Love2. Because You Loved Me3. It’s All Coming Back To Me Now4. My Heart Will Go On5. All By MySelf 6. That’s The Way It Is (underrated by Celine until recently was a hugely successful hit song) ** also Flying On My Own- since it’s the new single ** Those above are the 6 MANDATORY English songs and these below are songs that I think Celine considers mandatory but really are replaceable but I don’t think she will remove them. 7. Beauty and The Beast8. Ashes9. To Love You More10. I’m Alive11. River Deep Mountain High12. Love Can Move Mountains 13. PQTME. ( not absolutely necessary in an English show... she could introduce a different Francophone song) Then we have the songs that have a High Chance of being in the setlist that also are replaceable...( all of which were in the “Celine” show at one point or another.) The Reason, I Surrender, I Drove All Night, Taking Chances, Loved Me Back To Life, Think Twice ( love the song but not a must in the US) Where Does My Heart Beat Now. Throw in another song or two from the new album and maybe a tribute like she clearly loves to do and that’s a whole setlist. Also not to be negative but unlike the TC tour that started AFTER the album released this new album is set toBe released AFTER the tour starts which makes the likelihood of many of the songs being performed live drastically lower. And yet the TCWT had one of the worst setlists regardless with songs that werent fan favs off of the album done live and ruined by bad arrangements. The rest are all up to Celine, now i can see WDMHBN in the set, at least it would be appropriate. But in all honesty, TR,TT,TLYM,IS and to an extent, IDAN, her “outside-the-US regional hits” repertoire. TC and LMBTL were neglected outside their respective eras anyway and were only performed out of necessity. I hope we even get some US hit songs that dong get their representation such as IYAMT, When I Fall In Love and Misled. As for the new song thing, its clearly evident 3 max will be performed before November; FOMO, probably Courage and the first single, wether thats Lying Down or whatever. After November however is very different. Eitherway, the US has been neglected due to Vegas for 11 years, so a hits show is probably what is going to happen regardless. Eitherway, when i go to my two shows in Miami, I wont be complaining Edited July 27, 2019 at 05:27 PM by AdrienneM Quote

Who’s bright idea was it for the tour to start almost 3 months before the album is set to release especially when the tour is already named after the the album. Up and coming artists as well as big artists of this generation seem to be doing it. Its like a huge hype build for the album drop, they take a break, promote on TV and then tour again. In the vein of Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, Billie Eillish and Ed Sheeran. I think the idea is that if you go on tour a month or two after album release the album dies very quickly, so you're better to hype it up, perform during its release and immediately after aswell. It makes sense in theory 1 Quote

Who’s bright idea was it for the tour to start almost 3 months before the album is set to release especially when the tour is already named after the the album. But think about the 2016 summer tour. I know one can't really compare these two tours, but the 2016 tour also started way before the EUS album was released and she did perform two brand new songs out of nowhere, Ordinaire and ALPHB. So in my opinion it don't get why she couldn't do that again. Just introduce the new songs, with a short sentence like "this next song is a song from my new album, it was written for me by...and it's called..." here we go. Possible to start the tour with FOMO, Courage and one more new song and adding more songs when the album is released or start right at the beginning of the tour with 5-7 new songs and keep it that way.I just want to say with this, that I don't think it's bad to see her before november, I'm sure there will be new songs in the setlist and the show will be amazing no matter what Edited July 27, 2019 at 06:29 PM by ordinary fan 3 Quote
Del Posted July 27, 2019 at 07:45 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 07:45 PM I still find it astonishing theyre starting the tour months before the album is released. I hope any lukewarm response to the new unknown songs doesnt mean theyre dropped from the set list before the tour truly does go global.I imagine this is why they are starting with the French shows first. That said agree that it is strange starting a tour when the album is not out yet. I hope we don't get the short end of the stick because we get the show before the album. sarit_celine Posted July 27, 2019 at 07:51 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 07:51 PM (edited) I don't buy the desire to create hype regarding the new Album as a reason to make a Tourbefore new album is out. If someone wants to raise album sellsthey better go and do more promotion. I know that if I go to a Tour, I would like to hear as much new songs from the New album. There is no reason in realising a Tour beore there is a new Album out, people are going to pay lots in order to hear her,if there won't be at least 5-6 songs it will be really dishonest toward the people. Celine can say from today until tomorrow she is the boss, in reality we can't never know who makes these poor decisions, that include also not to make a video for a new song. I’m pretty sure that she will perform TLYM as she probably wants to make use of the fact that she has a relatively new lipsync track. Same for IDAN. For the same reason I would expect “Le ballet” for Francophone shows and “Falling into You” for Asian shows. Quote The best is yet to come...

ordinary fan Posted July 27, 2019 at 08:55 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 08:55 PM EXACTLY, THANK YOU!!!!!! cause i have also watched the "TCWT" concert on itunes, google play, & amazon MANY TIMES over the years & celine had indeed performed SEVERAL NEW SONGS off tbe "taking chances" album: -"TC" THE SONG of course!!!!!!-"alone",-"eyes on me",-"alone",-"fade away",-"cant fight the feeling",-"shadow of love",-"my love",-"a world to believe in",-"a song for you", so i counted about 10 SONGS from the "TC" albums included on that tour (& yes i know a few of them were NOT FEATURED featured in the concert DVDS or performed in EVERY concert, but she still DID performed them in the tour in @ least SOME point or another, so they DO COUNT as being part of the tour!!!!!!! & seriously as a tour for a NEW album, it will be RIDICOLOUS for @ least a few new songs to not be performed in this tour!!!!!! ok off my high horse now lol...you forgot to add TJTWIM, she sang it in asia in 2008 Quote
Peppercorn1991 Posted July 27, 2019 at 08:56 PM Posted July 27, 2019 at 08:56 PM Tbh she can take more risks on a tour..... the Vegas residencies relied on a show and concept that needed to have longevity. She has the perfect opportunity to put on a different kind of show as it only lasts a couple of years max Kev x 3 Quote

She can take IWYTNM down by 2 keys and it would still be as heart wrenching and powerful as the key is that high. The big belts though are only a High D, shes shown she can consistently hit and hold high c#s (in think twice), so even a semitone down i think would be more or less fine for her, and if she needs it, she can lower it again. Of course her voice has changed, the song is 20 years old, however, im sure in a lower key in the right mood she could give it a solid attempt Quote

Even with the 2017 and 2016 tours you could see at the end of them she was kind of stagnant and bored, its like she needs something new every 10 shows or so to keep her going. That and its not the set list, its simply the magnitude of dates. She could come out with a full deep cuts set list for this tour, and still be bored after the 66 US dates. Quote
