Celine doesn’t have to make any statement on the current dates that haven’t been canceled. The announcement is if they aren’t canceled then it goes on, it’s only needed if the shows don’t go on. The announcement that may come is the Vegas show fates, otherwise most likely nothing will be announced, as it should be a given if they haven’t been canceled they will happen.

I’d not be surprised if it was simply in the style of when she was returning to her next run of vegas shows… about a week or so before just being like “Hey! Back in Vegas at Caesar’s Palace soon, hope to see you there!” With the occasional 5-day countdown. I do kind of see what people mean when they point out that it was mentioned they intend to go ahead with the Europe shows and now that we’ve passed the two months ahead timeframe, I do see them just meaning that as a “yep, they’re going ahead”

The tour is due to start in the UK. Concerts, arenas, stadiums etc are all operating as normal with zero covid restrictions here.

 

Unless Céline’s health is still an issue I see no reason why the tour won’t be ahead.

Same opinion, why should there be an announcement about something that is scheduled already? Most people holding tickets for the European shows probably don't even know that the remaining American leg was cancelled... So unless there is cancellation due to Celine health, I don't think we'll get any statements. If anything maybe about Vegas, also hoping for a new French album soon. Because we havn't heard from Celine or her Team for so long, no updates, nothing. The last thing we actually know is that Celine had to cancel dates because she was still sick or atleast unable to perform. So a little confirmation from them would be good. I already have tickets and booked a hotel but to be secure and really looking forward without any sorrows, I'd like to have a little "Hey I'm fine, see you in the summer europe "

Yeah I agree that although they aren’t required to make an announcement, it’s only fair when travel and flights may be involved. Last we heard she was sick so a quick one liner saying it’s going ahead is needed. IMO

But she could come to Europe, start the tour and do two shows, then get sick or injured and have to cancel further shows then. Anything can happen.

 

The shows are currently scheduled to happen. So proceed with your plans under the assumption they’ll go ahead because any show can get cancelled at any time regardless of what’s gone before.

If they actually would look to the streaming numbers they would have to think about including more recent stuff too, songs like ashes, hdamlf, lmbtl or incredible are doing well on streaming platforms, not only the 90's hits alone. But sadly they don't check this out much

Just realized that if she does return next month, this career break would have lasted almost the exact same length as the 2000-02 break. Both were about 26 months. (This one would be about ~2 weeks longer.)

Also, I think she looks great in the new video. I hope she feels just as good as she looks. Fingers crossed we hear more from her in the coming days and weeks.

Of course she has a phone. You have to read between the lines. The meaning was she is not interested in the social media part of the phone.

Again WTF does that have to do with I-phones (which in the time period of 2007-2008, which is the time period you are talking about,) THE I-PHONES DID NOT EVEN EXIST YET IN 2007-2008!! I know they did not exist back then (I-phones came out in 2009-2010 actually, according to Wikipedia...)

 

& also, how do we know if that phone was EVEN HERS (which was in ONE SCENE, you act as if she carried it around her during the entire film (& YES I HAVE WATCHED BOTH "A NEW DAY SECRETS" & "THROUGH THE EYES OF THE WORLD", THE PHONES WERE ONLY IN ONE SCENE EACH!) Yes it might have been her phone, but again WE DO NOT KNOW FOR SURE AS NONE OF US WERE THERE WITH HER! Were you there with her? NO I AM SURE YOU WERENT! & I was not either obviously... So it could have been SOMEBODYS ELSE PHONE THAT SHE BORROWED for all we know... & yes even in modern times, in the year 2022, NOT EVERY SINGLE PERSON OWNS A CELL PHONE! Yes I know that is VERY HARD TO BELIEVE THESE DAYS, but its true! & back in 2007-2008, which was 14-15 years ago, there were ALOT MORE PEOPLE WHO DIDNT HAVE CELL PHONES!

 

& also, cell phones are NOT just known for social media! I know alot of younger people ('the Gen Z' & 'Gen Alpha' youngsters,) also most likely DO NOT remember this, but there were also a time that phones were used JUST FOR CALLING! Yep phones were originally not made for social media, texting, going on Facebook, watching Youtube videos, etc...

 

In fact I remember when cell phones first came out in the early 2000s, (yes I am an older 'Millenial'/younger 'Gen X' here, 40 years old,) THEY DID NOT EVEN HAVE INTERNET ON THEM! Yep they were the old flip-phones & only have the ability to make phone calls, texting (in 'T9 Texting' mind you, very fun lol,) & take pictures... Thats it! No Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, internet web browsers, etc...

 

Now I do not know how old you are, so I do not know if you remember the days before I-phones & social media, I do!

 

& DUHHHH, we all know Celine does not like social media, all if us fans have known that for OVER 10 YEARS NOW! We know there are other people who run her social media accounts (now what their names are, nobody knows though,) & like alot of other members on this forum have also expressed, her social media team do a very LOUSY job when it comes to Celines social media accounts & keeping us updated on things, everybody on this forum is always complaining about her poorly run social media accounts!
