DVD release? Really? I hope that’s not the news... Who buys DVDs anymore? Why not make a deal with Netflix, Disney or Amazon?

 

Really?! We beg for them to release DVDs and other stuff yet when we’re one step close to it actually happening, all of a sudden, people complain? I admit I’m one of the demanding ones but at least I’m happy when I get something, even if it could’ve been better. For example, I love the Courage World Tour, even though it’s got MANY imperfections (that song being one). I wouldn’t mind them releasing it on VHS if it meant I got a new, professionally recorded show from her.

I could actually see them releasing a concert. DVD or Netflix/Amazon Prime. However, no one has given any source for the said rumor so, as was said, I’d take it with a grain of salt. But you’re right, this forum will probably throw ideas around for 2-3 months and when nothing happens, get angry that an unconfirmed rumor never amounted to anything!

Yeah - before Christmas makes the most sense. Sony loves to capitalize on the holiday market.

But why next year??? It’s always next year, or in two years, but never now. That sucks

 

I think that's because these are unsubstantiated rumors from fans trying to get attention from their social media accounts. If they post something like this, people will start following them so they can be the first to hear the information when its released. It's all clickbait.

I think they will release the Courage Tour Opening night 2019 from Quebec, they filmed that show.

 

Now , I will answer your question, I was there front row on that sat night show, I did ask the camera guy if they are/will film for a DVD, and he told me No ,

The Courage Tour is nowhere near impressive enough to be released as a DVD or on Netflix. It's not even a tiny tiny bit close, to the likes of A new day... or the Taking Chances World Tour which we're both visually stunning, energetic, and had real passion and half decent setlists in them, worthy of being released.

 

How in the blazes is the Taking Chances World Tour more superior than the Courage world tour in terms of Visuals and energy? That is sooo not accurate, lol.

Stage-in-the-round design, the “cage”, moving floors, dancers, a large industrial fan, dancers...

Maybe they’re picking a date to film the show for at least 2 shows like they did for TCWT. Well, Actually 4 shows were filmed from that tour

 

2 shows from boston and 2 shows from Montreal = 4 shows were filmed

 

In A New Day = 5 shows were filmed January 17-21 2007

Maybe because it will be a DVD of the Courage World Tour and they’re waiting for the tour to finish first?

Maybe there will be no DVD at all. I wouldn’t trust a questionable fan account who claims that he is part of TC, and his stepmom, who isn’t, has the footage. That doesn’t make much sense.

However, remember someone posted screenshots from the professional recording of the Heyde Park Concert recently. If the DVD rumor was true, maybe there are supposed to pick a concert for release and there are viewings going on? All I care about is the 2016 and 2017 tours. They had the best tracklists and were the most unique concerts ever. Hyde Park was Vegas on wheels, and thus at the same time Tokyo 2018 On wheels. No need for a DVD of that.

 

But what the hell, release everything on DVD and let us have it all! No need for picking!

Exactly it is like every celine concert always has the same songs. No need to have a dvd of those again.

And why shouldn't TC film the Opening night? Maybe it was not for an official release at that time, but I'm sure they filmed it.

They have recorded many shows over the years, it doesn't necessarily mean it will released. Definitely not before the tour is over. She looked great opening night though, so I wouldn't mind if we get the professional recording at some point :)

I love that! And I'm glad that they decided to record the opening nights now, because the setlist is richer (no cut songs) and her voice is so much better! i'm excited now!!! :D

For the first time, I've noticed the new arrangement with gitarres during TPOL (starting 23:45 - 24 05 Min in the above video) it's awesome! 24.03 Min gives me the chills!!! :D Edited by ryba

If we’re only getting ONE French show, I want 2017.

 

Or a bundle of 2016-19 ... keep the same playback, no need to dub. The fans who notice won’t mind :-)

 

 

(BTW all those clips from Twitter girl are nothing new, right? I feel like I’ve seen them before from actual TC.)

They definitely filmed opening night and I know for sure they filmed other nights too like the second show in Ottawa (they released footage of “Courage” from that show). I assume they filmed every show.

I’ve seen those clips and many more countless times. There’s a lot of pro footage from shows in Quebec, Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto.
